Watching the video, you have to say either it is just a fling or you are serious about the relationship. If you tell the others that it was just a fling it breaks off the romance. The Inquisitor can later say to The Iron Bull they don't need to stop but The Iron Bull says yes they do. So you either break off the relationship or become serious. Kinda lame, I thought he was stated to be the Casual Romance Choice. But if the only way to move forward is to declare your love, it's not casual at all Well, it's kind of the same with the other "casual" romances of the series - with Isabela and Zevran, your options are to either hook up and then break it off, or continue and let ~feelings~ happen.

I think from a programming standpoint it is very hard to allow for multiple relationships-and locking into a serious relationship is just an easier way to code it. Just a guess though. Either way, you don't have to tell Iron Bull you love him. It's completely optional. You just have to say you want to continue the relationship. The I love you line isn't even in the commitment scene-it's the scene after it. Edit: I think the romance card doesn't actually change till you get the scene where you can exchange confessions of love, but the scene where you deal with the actual nature of the relationship is prior to it... eh!

I think you're correct. In an interview asking about stuff or something someone asked about Bioware making a polyamorous romance and Bioware answered that that is a nightmare to code due to all the different flags and dialogue possibilities between the three characters unless the two LIs are already and always in a relationship.

How sad is he, if the Inquisitor sacrifices the Chargers. Bull's background always was a clue as to how close the Chargers are to him. Qunari society is so collectivistic that it seems that Bull does not do well alone and isolated. He seems to instinctively seek out groups which may explain why romancing him isn't enough to sway him. It takes the Chargers to keep him loyal to the Inquisition.

my precious thicc son 😢 I will never allow anything bad to happen to him lmao. He gets his Chargers, his 'Vints, an Inquisitor who's devoted to his wellbeing, a tiny elven archer to launch into crowds for maximum mayhem. He gets cocoa and marshmallows and a large collection of dawnstone dragon statuettes to adorn his mantle. If he had one. Which he doesn't, but that's okay because the hole in his roof just adds to his charm. We'll drink toxic qunari sludge together and taarsidath-an halsaam with the best of them. I will protect his v important belly and bad knee and eye socket and stumpy fingers. it ok bull. u r safe with me

He gotta sleep diagonally on the bed, horns over the side. 🤔 Guess his boo just snuggles up in the bosoms. Maybe other qunari use takamura for their horns?

Without metagaming, why would the Inquisitor allow a Qunari spy to join in? Because Corypheus threatens the entire world and you need all the help you can get, and here a member connected to the strongest single force in Thedas is offering their assistance. It's a case of "The enemy of my enemy is my friend".

Without metagaming, why would the Inquisitor allow a Qunari spy to join in? My Vashoth Inquisitor naively assumes that all Qunari would willingly leave the Qun if they got a good look at life outside of it. After all, that's what her parents did, it's what many in the Valo-Kas did, and she herself is doing just fine. So Bull was an opportunity and an asset. She's incredibly lucky that his crisis of faith struck when it did or she'd have been screwed. My Cadash wanted that huge intimidating bodyguard and his Chargers between her and Corypheus. And it's not like she knew a whole lot about the Qun or their agenda.

My canon Lavellan appreciated his honesty and forthcoming about being a spy. Also, she realizes that she needs all the help she can get with closing the Breach no matter from whom.

Perhaps not a huge one, but a threat regardless.

Without meta gaming knowledge my pc has no particular reason to distrust the Iron Bull-in fact with so many people being fake or assholes all around him-he probably found Iron Bull's honest approach quite refreshing.

But as far as my Inquisitor was concerned - what did they have to hide, really? At that point she wasn't expecting any opposition from the Qunari in regards to her 'fix the fucking hole in the sky' plan. I guess Bull might have gathered broader information about Orlais and Ferelden and the state of their defences while working with the Inquisition, but as a mercenary working in those areas he was gathering it anyway.
