I'd bet on Angaran, they seem pretty friendly with MW compared to Kett, so one traveling with Ryder wouldn't be far-fetched.
But I also fond to the idea of a quarian, because it raises quarifans' expectations.

I predict a new, one gender race, and it's happen to be male this time!

P.S. I wonder how people would react if he would be available to both genders as romance option, just like Liara, but this would cause shit storm I'm guessing...

Please god be an Andromeda alien that is also available for banging. I would love it to be a kett, I need an insiders view of my enemy for nerdy reasons and also delicious drama between squaddies.

Will also accept male quarian for banging.

Oh yeah, the kett. ( Why does it only says, « the kett » ? ) From behind, I wasn't impressed, but their faces actually look nice. Having on in the crew would be immersion breaking for me, but if we must have an Andromeda native, then I'd like one of those. They look like angels. (◡‿◡✿)

Angarans are one of the Andromedan species.  I think we've had a few references to them so far, but the one that I remember for sure is the scene in one of the gameplay demos where Ryder is walking around a crime scene scanning items, Reyes says to her that the blood sample that she scanned is 100% Angaran blood.

When the devs were first talking about the game, didn't they say that they were going to introduce two new species:  one of which were the bad guys?  If so, then I'd say that the Angarans are the play-doh species, since they are the only other species besides the khett that we've seen.

And, my official prediction as of today is that Jaal is going to be a major squaddie (a la Liara) and is going to be a male Angaran.  That would round out our squaddie roster and give us 3 males, 3 female, 2 humans, 3 MWG aliens, and 1 Andromedan alien.  That just feels right based on how the ME team does things.  But this is all speculation, of course.

That individual isn't a squadmate. We can see our two squadmates are Liam and Cora in that scene.

Here is another pic of that species -- from the outpost where Sloane is set up. Two of them, both blue but in different hues, and pretty stocky builds.  Back bending legs with three thick toes. 



I'll say this about them, I'm kind of digging their clothes.  Bright colors, interesting shapes.  I'm not mad at them.

So, yeah, my guess is that Jaal is one of these guys and a major plot-based squaddie (hence why he's getting his own figure).

Andromeda needs a furry race. We need a Wookie analogue. I hope Ryder gets to call someone Chewy.

I do believe this Jaal will be a squadmate, and male. And I'm guessing he'll be a romance only because I doubt Drack will be an option (not only because he's Krogan, but also because I'm getting a badass crazy Grandpa vibe from his design). But all our female squadmates look like they may well be, so having him in addition to Liam will balance things out a bit. As for species, I suppose it could be an Andromedan, but I voted quarian BECAUSE I CAN.

And here's the thing about us quarian fans who keeping hoping any mysterious character might be one... All the other major races have already been confirmed to be present. So everyone else's favorite races are in the game and have representation among our squad or as major characters in our crew. We're the only ones who've been left hanging here... So as we brace for potential disappointment that we might not see our favorite species at all, much less have them as major characters or (dare we even hope?) a romance... Yeah, we'll take any hint we can get and gleefully run with it.
