It baffles me that they seem to think this is anything even remotely resembling good marketing. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't do anything tomorrow because of the IGN thing. That's what I'm thinking. Nothing on Jaal, no briefing, just IGN and then Friday more combat stuff. If so, I hope IGN and other gaming info sites actually deliver where Bioware has spectacularly failed. |

Nothing. Not one thing. Small or big. It seems 9 AM EST tomorrow we get the IGN previews though, but nothing else has been said. Except for "very soon" for more gameplay. It baffles me that they seem to think this is anything even remotely resembling good marketing. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't do anything tomorrow because of the IGN thing. The strange part is that the previews might talk about Jaal, since he was shown to them (shinobi referred to all six squadmates being shown, apparently). I think we might still get Jaal's bio tomorrow, but we'll see. |

I doubt BioWare gave them a segment like that to play, since it seems like we may encounter Jaal on an important story mission. Just like I don't think we'll be able to progress far enough in the EA Access trial to meet Jaal. They'll most likely wall us off from getting too far like with DAI's early access. |

I'd think it'd only be fair if they released Jaal's bio/kit tomorrow so that rounds up the squadmates (unless there's a secret squaddie then the reveal will be in game). The bio could be an official introduction to Jaal unless he shows up in the next briefing like they did with Cora, but seeing as he's apart of a new race then I doubt it.
Then once he's officially revealed they can put him in as much marketing with trailers and gameplay series as they want. Which hopefully won't be TOO much. I still want to be surprised.

What a mess this marketing is turning out to be... It always is. I've never witnessed good marketing by BioWare. It's really bizarre for a branch of a huge company like EA. Wrapping up all the bios early would have made the previews make more sense, but I'm guessing they hope to hype Jaal in the previews so people will want to see his bio (as if they didn't already pfft) |
