It's kinda funny, I'm Polish, so my country is pretty much as Catholic as it gets. I grew up in a Catholic family, went to church on Sundays, had religion taught in school. I'm certain I must have heard the "masturbation is a sin and bad for you" message a lot. However, I can't recall it at all. I don't have a single memory of hearing that said on any occasion. That said, I would say I masturbate religiously, so maybe I did internalize some of the teachings... Occasionally to porn, but mostly to my own fantasies. I think it's healthy, I'll even do it when I don't feel any particular need to, just because I think it's good to get some of that dopamine going. Plus, it's an enjoyable way to exercise my abs. I can proudly say I've never felt a shred of guilt over it, that's just silly. I went to catholic school and masturbation wasn't taught as a bad thing, in fact it had a paragraph or two mentioning it in our sex ed class in junior high. Sure, out of class mentioning the word got giggles, but it was never demonized the way some church groups like to do to it. Actually, when I went to school, that type of church thinking was mocked and considered outdated. I think in my case, either I ignored those lessons cause I wasn't paying attention, as kids are prone to do, or it was too taboo a subject for the teachers (usually nuns) to bring up. I honestly can't recall. But I'm glad I didn't hear anything that'd scar me in any way. I just remember kind of liking being in church, it always made me feel good, and that stayed with me to this day.

Wait...what? How are abs involved? ... Dome... you of all people have to ask that question?? I just always associate it with a more...relaxed posture. I mean, I guess women have to reach a bit further, but still. Always thought of it as more of an upper body workout.

Always thought of it as more of an upper body workout. I'm sure it differs between women, but I don't think reach is the issue. Some probably like to be relaxed. I like to move a lot. If it gives me a good workout, I'm not gonna complain.

Yeah...well... you're forgetting the hip action required. See, I think for most guys, any hip action on our part would just be an unnecessary complication. Like patting your head and rubbing your tummy at the same time. Plus, there's a small, but vital psychological distinction that must be maintained between jerking yourself off and fucking your own hand.

For some strange reason my right forearm is stronger than my left one. You wouldn't be the first one to have muscular imbalances. You should start lifting, exercises that target each side of your body individually (i.e dumbbells) iron out those imbalances. That's also why I recommend beginners to work with dumbbells almost exclusively and stay away from machines. Barbell training and machines can even worsen such imbalances.

Similar deformations can be seen in the skeletons of Archers who used English Longbows.

I can't speak for historical truths but I've known a couple guys who represented their respective nations in Javelin and they have a really big, ripped arm and a much skinnier one.

I never saw it vilified the way it's being done these days...mind you it was made out to be more a thing guys did than girls, but there was always little subtle jokes that women would make around their friends that would indicate they weren't so prudish.

I can't speak for historical truths but I've known a couple guys who represented their respective nations in Javelin and they have a really big, ripped arm and a much skinnier one. I'm surprised you didn't mention the issues with muscle asymmetry that fencing practitioners can suffer from, given your name. Jokes aside, that's definitely an issue, some of my sparring partners had issues with it. Not me thankfully, I made a point of training offhand with the classes leftie regularly to help avoid the issue.

You get the same thing with boxers but the strength difference in hands is less pronounced. The difference in dexterity is huge though.
