To answer theloneshadow's question of what a freak is:
Freak n. a person who likes to do kinky shit in bed or have sex a lot v. to have intercourse or makeout n. That guy is a huge freak. v. She likes to freak on a regular basis.(urbandictionary.com)
So who's the biggest freaks?

So question for men and women: How would your pornography-related habits change upon getting into a relationship and how would you expect your partner's to change? Do you stop all together? Keep trucking along more or less as usual? Would you ever share your proclivities with a partner, ask about theirs, or even start viewing pornography together? Or is it strictly "me time" thing? At this point in my life: My porn habits would probably be the same, as would his since I'm not on the pill/ have money go to another state for an abortion if the condom broke. Unless he's fixed then we probably wont be having full on sex. edit: I don't really expect my partner to stop watching porn and I would hope he doesn't expect that from me. I would be really into watching my partner jack off. Its kind of hot. Damn.

I had to hide my "auto-erotic habits" from my ex-wife when I was married, as she grew up catholic & was incredibly repressed/stunted sexually. However, I dated a woman a couple years ago (as well as my last serious GF) who was totally open and okay with my burning animal libido. They both watched X-rated flicks with me occasionally and both were chill about experimentation when they felt the urge, which was (surprisingly) quite often. Needless to say I couldn't decide decisively with which of these women I had the better sex with. It was great though, and no other relationship is close. Always keep talking and laughing about sex kids. It is always good to communicate & have an open mind. Our playing/experimentation included; BDSM, the "royale" (Fellatio with her finger in my anus), ice/berrries/whipped cream, vibrators, shaving, sex in public/voyeurism, 69ing, assplay, sex in the shower/tub, sex in cars, Kama Sutra, endurance sex & role-play

Honestly Cloud 9, I think it's more personality related, than gender related, I also think some of it can be attributed to upbringing and past experiences It doesn't even necessarily relate to personality--at least not in the way people might expect. An extremely vivacious person might just be into basic, vanilla stuff while someone who is usually mild and quiet could be into all sorts of things in bed. You never really know.

Definitely. Although I will say that I think the label "freak" is more commonly attributed to women than to men. This has less to do with actual differences between male and female sexuality and more to do with how those things have been traditionally viewed. Males being sex-crazed and perverted is generally seen as the norm, whereas the same behavior in women is often seen as a deviation from it. So a woman with a high sex drive is deemed a freak, while a man with a high sex drive is just...a man.

Pfft...Labels, really an unfair assessment, IMO, I try to ignore them and I have trouble taking a person who likes to use them too seriously. I think the level of 'Freak' in a person depends on WHO they are, not What they are, the relationship/s they have and the person/people they are with. Not all guys are sex crazed perverts, not all women have low sex drives and to assume such a thing is highly prejudical and lacks merit.

I was curious as to what 'effect' it has on the fairer sex and why (some of) you enjoy reading them. Is it for the specific erotic scenes, the romance or whatever other stuff is in it? Are there any particular ones that are your favourites and what about them do you like? I am genuinely curious.

They're an escape from the humdrum ordinary. Yes, the erotic scenes are nice and the romantic plotline is fun. I haven't picked up a book in years, but I would say I really enjoyed the contemporary stories Harlequin 'Temptation' & 'Blaze' and Sillhouette 'Desire' put out as well as all the historical romances I used to read. Patricia Matthews, Johanna Lindsey, Kathleen E Woodiwiss, Fern Michaels, Colleen Faulkner...etc.

Does the nice guy ever actually win? He's certainly going to come out ahead of the guy who thinks calling a woman a bitch is acceptable when wooing her. Kid you not, once met a guy who said that to me. I don't think it's just being nice that determines whether they win. It takes a few other things. Someone could be nice, but it might take an assertive attitude when deciding if someone's worth taking a chance on. Suppose you're giving your son or daughter "The Talk." Aside from explaining how the basic mechanics work, what else would you tell them about sex? What would say to your daughter that you wouldn't tell your son and vice-versa? I'd recommend prioritizing health care for both themselves and their partner(s) and to not be discouraged by any setbacks with sex. Concern over physical and mental consequences for all parties would be what I'd be worried about. It'd be tough not to info dump on them, but I'd want them to be comfortable with sex and have a healthy responsible attitude towards it. So long as they're happy and doing it safely, I say go have fun. And mind the legal laws.

DomeWing has a fair point. We men can be visual creatures, illustrations would be a vital aid to our education on this matter. Is that really true, about men being a bit more visually based when it comes to stimulation or is it just a common thing to say about genders that's easily misapplied? To answer your earlier question about novels for women...I'm gonna guess it's like...Bioware's romance content. But more graphic I suppose. *scratches head* Not everyone's cup of tea, but it helps give life to a story, makes things more immersive. Depends I guess. If you're talking about trashy romance novels, I equate that to porn but if you're talking about good stories then it enhances the character.

No, I can't. I've met enough men in my life to know that each one is different, with their own personalities and their own beliefs. Same with women. You can't lump everyone into the same pile and it's stupid to try.
