I have played the game about 6 times and have never played as a warrior. Come to think of it, I have never played as a warrior in any DA game. Seems so boring. While waiting for ME4 I decided to start a new game as a warrior. What is the most interesting build? Sword and Shield? Two handed? and what is the most interesting specialization.???? I like to play aggressively more hack and slash versus strategic, defensive play so I am thinking two handed??

Personal opinion: 2H/Reaver I had so much fun with my Reaver (no, I'm not saying that because he's my favorite Inquisitor )

Agreed, 2H Reaver has the most variety and hacky slashy fun. Here's a build you can use: fextralife.com/forums/t167034/2handed-reaver-warrior-build--ragenroll/Good ol'd rage'n'roll! Second choice would be a 2H Templar. It's a bit more of a one-trick pony, though, with the Wrath/Purge combo, which is great for demons and stunnable enemies, pretty worthless for everything else. 2H anything is fun. Some highlights: * Grappling Chain/Give Them The Boot followed by Mighty Blow/Easy Target. That never gets old. * Grappling Chain/Chain for days *or* Whirlwind/Vortex of Steel. Best if you can have a mage lay a fire mine under you, suck the bad guys in, blow them up! * Charging Bull/Gore And Trample to knock a bunch of mooks down, then a free hit with Mighty Blow or Whirlwind * Earthshaking Strike/Shattered Ground. What's not to like about death by lava? * Horn of Valor/Fortifying Blast to give your whole party guard on hit

Reaver is a fun style, but it can tend to get dominated with Dragon Rage as opposed to vanilla 2H skills. That is partly just because the 2H tree isn't that great sadly, not that I am trying to dissuade anyone from that style since I prefer 2H in DAI and DAO.
2H Templar fun as well if you want something that plays a little more like a traditional 2H with a few "bonus powers."
As far as boring goes, in DAO I couldn't consider it more boring than a rogue given that warrior had access to all the same melee or ranged trees that rogue could access plus 2H. 2H incidentally was my favorite class and style in DAO as well. For Inquisition, I tend to find archer rogues the most boring. Can be saved with Artificer though or maybe heavy investment in sabotage and subterfuge.

I kinda feel this way as well. Not that Reaver isn't fun, but it can get a little monotonous. Dragon Rage 'til Charging Bull is up, Charging Bull, Devour, repeat. I think Templar is the most fun if you want to actually play around with the weapon trees (2H or S&S, really), but still want a little bit of "spice" from your Specialization.

My last Inquisitor was a 2H Champion. Walking Fortress/Whirlwind build, with Solas to pull things into neat little groups for me. It was fun at first, but it got monotonous also. I wish I had picked Templar.
It turns out I'm not as big a fan of warriors in DAI as I am in Origins and (especially) DA 2. But Templar feels a little more caster-like so that makes it more fun for me.

Another vote for 2H Templar. With Champion- you literally have to hack everything to death. Templar gives some versatility- and is plenty survivable. Being able to wombo/combo large mobs instantly is never boring. Key to any non-Reaver build; Chromatic Greatsword or Primstaic GreatAxe- either does insane damage. The elemental on top of regular damage is OP.

I totally agree with "Capn 233".
Reaver is the way to go for hack and slash combat style, but can become a boring trap spaming dragon rage non stop. the alternative is to forbidd yourself the dragonrage ability except to get under the 50% health in order to benefefit from your passives and your enhanced belt of emergency. Then just use your regular favorite warrior slills like combat roll, grapplin chain, charging bull and mighty blow for example and use the most efficient and funniest masterwork material (like walking bomb or hidden blades) to get epic battles. And as others told you already, templar is not a bad choice at all because you can adapt to many situations and buff your entire party. Spell purge and wrath of heaven are really usefull when activated wisely.
Anyway have fun mate!

I love my sword and board dwarf warriors. Switched from 2 handed and not going back. Revered defender lonsword plus a top tier shield and im having much more fun with different types of attacks plus i feel like im having an easier time surviving
Love the look of wintersbresth shield on backs plus it's game lore. Tough to get but if you played dai you might have schematic
Reaver and templar are nice add ons but i tend not to spam them

Starflorge's Fury Reaver is also worth considering:
