Not sure if this was already posted but hey, I found this on youtube today. Still the same issues, tho. Pretty much the entire romance so you can understand my frustration. Only thing that sort of, (but not really), balances it out even more are the messages you receive on your private email from Gil. I'm also upset about this too. He still lacks a lot of content 'cause he's pretty much "story gated" to main missions and the only times you have to interact with him outside of that is the Poker scene and the Friend scene, which are listed as "missions"

Follow-ups after missions always made me wonder if Gil would respond a certain way to certain things. He would always get me with the "Hey there, good looking." But nothing else. DLC's better add more but then again there are always patches and add-on's. Hopefully, given a week with all the feedback now that everyone has access to it, some will take the issues straight to Ian.

Also whenever he says that line my game seems to swoon as hard as i do because the screen blacks out for a few seconds.

IF they do so (which I hope). Where is he on the Nexus? So far, I've only seen him on that Vortex Club or something like that. Your screen monitor is gay too!

AFAIK, there seems to be like 500+ bugs on PC/PS4/Xbox One. They'll probably focus more on that first before even thinking of adventuring on DLC's and such :\

I'd guess probably around June/July for the first DLC.

Can someone confirm for me the timing of the of the romance culmination? Is it supposed to happen right after "The Friend?" The guide makes it seem like I should be able to trigger the scene immediately upon returning to the Tempest, but that isn't the case.

That's what i thought the guide meant but clearly the guide is crap. My guess is its right before the endgame like in the others.

So I've finally gotten round to finishing the main story quest. Briefly, I think it's been said enough that Gil needs more content. I hope BioWare listens to our feedback, because I doubt they're just gonna add a M/M squadmate just randomly. That said, I do really like Gil, so I'm not disappointed in him as a character, more how much we got of him. I suggest at least two more "cutscenes". One before you meet Jill, because the pacing is a little weird for this romance and we need more time to actually grow attached to Gil before we commit. One after *that* talk, because I'm not sure when exactly the required ... materials were acquired? Or how? Or how the process works with two males? For those who didn't take the option, there'll obviously have to be something else. And sometime where he actually pulls his poetry moves on you. I've grown to really like the Tempest Crew, but in order for them to be on the level of the OT characters, they need to hang around longer. I would say it's reminiscent of DA:O. I had no real emotional attachment to those characters till I played the DLCs and started seeing them around in DA:2 and DA:I. I need some time away from them in order to get more attached. Keep Ryder. Absolute MUST. It's so refreshing to not have to play a complete blank slate, nor an already celebrated fleshed out war hero. It would let you avoid the whole Hero's Journey thing that I feel is beginning to get a little stale in the market. Also, he's such a qt, I may just cry if we don't see him again. . I'm literally giving you 1 full point because of how cute he is. I need to see this ^ changing diapers.
Fix your UI (nuff said). Animations, no need to go further with such examples as Addison. But this includes the romance scenes and please have better kissing animations. You made Cora and Scott look great. Now go put that same effort into everybody else's. Reyes and Scott's "kissing" animation was just them touching closed lips. I know you've had recent meetings on this. The world building is top-tier as usual (something about the planets reminds me of SW:TOR?). The Angara have a great backstory, and we aren't completely confined to the Heleus Cluster in terms of what we now about the rest of the galaxy (make sure you read the datapads). The humour is great. Maybe not quite so much of it, if only to not incur the wrath of the reviewers (because I loved it all), but I think we could done with a few more emotionally hard moments. Like in the final mission (nice touch btw). Strangely bug-free for me, not the chaotic mess that DA:I was where we couldn't romance Dorian if we did something with Alexius too early. Overall, 8/10. Fix the bugs and UI, and this is a 8.5. To get a 9 from me, I'm gonna need more Gil. EDIT: Oh and do something about in-game dialogue. Too easily interrupted, and too many people speaking over each other BUT you have got the timing between character's lines better than DA:I. I'd sum it up as ME:1 through the lens of DA:I with the "feel" of DA:O.

It works fine for DA because the story of DA isn't even about the protagonists. They are just there to help the story along. DA was always about something... higher and more overreaching. ME is different. It has to be, because as much as I love watching the story of Thedas unfold, ME should be a lot more personal. What score would you give ME:A?

Solid 7, I use actual 0-10 scales though. 7 is a very good game, for comparison TW3 was a 9, Titanfall 2 an 8, the new Zelda a 6, DA:I 4 and DA2 a 2. 1 would be No Man's Sky and 0 is Gone Home.

Ah fair enough. My all time top played game on Steam is an 82 on Metacritic (5.5% of my life since I got it) and I'd easily give it a 9 *, so anything 70/75+ on MetaCritic as far as I'm concerned is normally more than enough to keep me happy. *Anyone else on these forums a fellow Xwedodah'er?

So I watched the Scott and Cora scene to be salty again, and like they really couldn't give us the nude pillow talk they got? C'mon it makes it more intimate and the who did what is still left ambiguous!

Not specifically Gil related, but holy shit I hate how long it takes to get around the galaxy map. It takes forever to get anything done in this game.

C'mon it makes it more intimate and the who did what is still left ambiguous! They probably still thought that "gay sex is icky", even if it's implied. Remember, this was a different Bioware studio who had no previous experience whatsoever in doing a full game. We would end up hearing something along the lines of "It has to makes sense." or whatever that shit means nowadays. That quote seems to be one of Bioware's favourites these days

I know it represents us being treated as a lower priority, but I'm still glad Gil got a fade-to-black over what Cora got. I really don't need to know when the programmers are working one-handed.
