As long as you have the Black Emporium installed, you should also have access to Dog. Do you? He's a good distraction for the Arishok during that fight. I have all dlc's but they don't show up in my game for some reason. I need to do a reinstall after this playthrough.

Okay tonight will be round 5 with the Arishok. I did as you two suggested and hit and run, but when I do get in to hit, Hawkes attacks do minimal damage. I mean they do do damage, but not heavy damage. Also if there was a make Hawke scream button. I would have been pressing it as she was running, trying to stay away from him. I also have a question. Is this the end of the game? I mean I heard the game was rushed, but I feel like I either just got to know my comapanions, like Fenris. Or haven't had a chance to know my companions better, like Merril.

This is a patience fight. No, this isn't the end of the game. You will know your companions better in the Act 3.

It's been a little while since I've rolled a warrior (but I remember doing a reasonable amount of damage. Def not worse than a mage would do, anyway), but I think I might have a couple of old build threads saved somewhere. Black Emporium will also give you access to Maker's Sigh, which will let you respect if you want to try a different build. You've still got a bit more to go. You'll get another round of companion quests and short conversations in Act 3 (you'll need to get friendship/rivalry maxed out to trigger the last bit of the arc), and Fenris, Isabela and Merrill get another gift with cutscene too. Do you have Legacy and Mark of the Assassin?

Do you have Legacy and Mark of the Assassin? I've bought all DA2 dlc when they were on sale. But even though it installed after I bought them, they do not show up in my game. Catalina suggested I do a reinstall. I will wait after this playthrough to do so. So I have no access to Dark Emporium.

It's the end of act 2, there is one more act. I will see if I got any grenades. Also thanks for the tip about the poison. I'm glad to know there is one more act.

So close! I had the Arishok down to half health before he stabbed Hawke and lifted her up, killing her. The Arishok is not that hard to beat if you are smart about it. I will try again.
Also for the person who asked what my build was, I maxed out the two handed tree and am a Templar, I have two skills in it, one that smites foes, and one that nullify's mages spells.

Finally! I beat the Arishok. It took me 15 minutes to beat him. I did a lot of running and healing. It was a tough fight, but now the Arishok is dead and the Qunari gone.

It is kind of a silly fight. Run around the columns, run over to Arishok attack, throw grenades, run around the columns, repeat until dead. I like the smile Hawke gives at the end and the look Meredith gives. It is awful when he catches you, lifts you up by the sword. I'd think Hawke would be dead but he is fine, it is odd. Only did the duel with the Arishok, never with the party. Hawke's and Meredit's face is priceless!

About the Arishok lifting Hawke up by the sword. He did kill me once like that, but that's because I got careless, but your right it's weird it's not his ultimate kill move. So when do I get that badass champion armor I see all over the net int promotional pictures? So after the fight. Three years passed, and there was an argument outside the Viscount's keep between Orsino and Meredith. Since I was still hyped up from the fight with the Arishok, I can't remember what the fight was about. lol All I remember was I stayed neutral as much as possible. I do remember Hawke saying that she could rule instead and Meredith scoffed at the idea. Hawke went back to her estate and spoke to Anders, giving him a key to a secret passage that leads from Darktown to her estate. She then went to Fenris, and he told her that he seen his sister and if Hawke can help him rescue her. Hawke agreed.

Chest-legs: High Dragon, Bone Pits (not easy fight). Helmet: main quest, during act 3 (rather towards the end). Boots: main quest, during act 3 (rather towards the end). This is the last piece.

As of last night my party is Aveline, Anders, and Merrill. Also I forgot to mention. I think it's cute how Cassandra has grown to admire Hawke. I love Cassandra's voice when she stumbles and tries to deny her feelings.

I don't know if you specifically mentioned who you were romancing? Hawke is romancing Anders as a femHawke. First it was Isabella, then she stuck with Anders. Even though mother never approved of Anders I think. She did like Isabella though. (By mother I mean Leandra. Not my real mother. lol)

talyn82 - did you fight the high dragon? Nope, not yet. Just got home from work 15 minutes ago. I will play the game in an hour or so. But first I want to go to all districts and see if there are any quests to log in my journal, and speak to my companions. Then I will go to the Bone Pit when I get the quest.

Ah. don't forget grenades. Good luck! Having a lot of fun reading your playthrough! Thanks. Definitely need grenades and potions, and see if I could enchant anything.

I spoke with Leandra just after the first night, and she seems –although before has been had chosen a noble woman to her son–, finally saw that Anders and his son good together, or at least resigned to. "I seen how that Anders fellow looks at you, I'm sure, the last thing you need is your mother watching over your shoulder every time you come home..." – this was the moment, when she planned the new marriage.

I did not know that. I did not know that was when she planned the new marriage. So Hawke visited Anders in Darktown and he said he had an idea that the Tevinter mages used to do. It was extracting a demon from someones body. He needed two ingredients. Hawke agreed to help and received 10 rivalry points from Fenris. Hawke, Anders, Fenris, and Merrill went into the sewers and got one of the ingredients. Next they went to the Hanged Man tavern, and Fenris spoke to his sister. She set him up and we were confronted by Danarius. After a long and hard fight it was down to Fenris vs Danarius. Fenris defeated his former master and killed him. He turned his attention to his sister with the intent to kill. Hawke talked him down and received 10 rivalry points from him. They spoke to Isabella and Hawke reassured her that they were still friends. Isabella said if Hawke needed her, that she knew where to find her.
