Now, as someone has said, New Vegas is another matter entirely. That game's writing and side content were absolutely stellar. I've been wanting Bioware to take notice of how Obsidian handled factions in New Vegas. I'd love to have the freedom in ME or DAI to pursue working for multiple factions at the same time and get to enjoy their individual questlines for a while, before hitting the cut-off point that locks me into that faction (if there is one). Imagine if in DAI, we'd been able to side with the Mages/Templars to close the Breach, but afterwards had the option to attempt to bring the other faction into the Inquisition as well? Obviously it would have been much harder and we'd have to find some way to achieve peace and unite the two factions, but it would have been a better way to resolve the conflict set up in the previous game. Rather how they went about it, where it stops because one side went insane/evil.

I'm always surprised people talk about Fallout 4 having a lot of bugs. I never had any serious issues and I played that game way more then any one should...
I wish the one thing they would take from Fallout 4 would be the all bi romance options. I know not everyone is a fan, but honestly I'm tired of getting the lesser options for "realistic" characters that "feel right".

I love ambient music when you are out exploring in FO4. In DA:I, the music was too scarce. I had Diamond City Radio up 90% of my playthrough so I don't even have any impression what kind of music FO4 had outside of american music from 50s ^^; But uh I did like what Diamong city radio offered, liked irony of some songs.

A docile pet like Dogmeat, perhaps? It could be a varren brought in Andromeda by some krogan. What, you don't think the pyjak can fight? Varren have much bigger teeth.

I enjoyed FO4, and I can't think of anything, really? I mean, I really loved some of the companions, but they were only impressive when compared to the usual Bethesda fare. I guess the way some of them were treated by NPCs was cool- maybe they could work in more reactivity if you have a companion who is well-known or a companion who would be likely to get rude comments in public.
Also, they should feel free to steal Deacon whole.

While I enjoyed FO4, I'd rather Bioware do their own thing rather than emulate it. Maybe the ability to play a radio of some kind in the Nomad or your suit would be fine.
However, I would be in favor of a continuous music track while exploring, but that's been in plenty of RPGs.

Yeah, I tend to keep my radio blaring most of the game, even if I do get a little sick of some of the song selections. I'd love to see a Nexus and local DJ's who comments on events that take place across the game and the outcome of certain quests, including chewing the Pathfinder(s) out if they do something the DJ doesn't agree with. Would open up the world a little bit and make it seem like each colony has become it's own unique community. Can you imagine a Krogan DJ on New Tuchanka?

There are positive and negative things that could be improved on from FO4, They are in no particular order
- RPG Games shouldn't be 90% combat. Dialogue is just as important as gameplay and exploration - The game should be free and open, but at the same time should'nt be so open that you ge "the good stuff" very early on. like power armor for example. - Relationships with characters are better when they are dynamic, responding to your words and actions. (Preston Loved that, Piper Hated that, etc) *Not actually having the text popup tho*
If you act like a dick and go against everything a squadmate stands for, the endgame consequence for that should be apparent. like them leaving your crew. the opposite of loyalty

akots I'm talking about stuff like vibrating ragdoll corpses, enemies clipping through walls (or starting to fly), horrendous AI, companions that when sent home get lost for weeks, the broken settlement tracker that's always misreporting stats, the broken event triggers, dialogue skipping (widely reported), people talking over each other, and many many more. The glitchiness of Bethesda's games is well known, FO4 is no different. It has nothing to do with my PC. There's more to good game coding than not introducing lag or crashes. I haven't had a game crash on me in years. I've had this stuff happen on both of my Xbone's.

I haven't had a game crash on me in years. I loved the robot workshop. I love building robots, and outfitting them with cool mods. I created Gideon, my very charming sentry robot fully loading with two missile launchers, this big drill thing, a massive minigun, and the ability to passively prevent damage to me during combat. I spent a fortune on the aluminum alone. Last I saw him, we were killing mirelurks together on Spectacle Island. Then I left quickly to save Sanctuary from yet another attack, and he disappeared from the game. Just poof. Gone. Where are you, Gideon? I loved the Robot Workshop too, but those Rus Devil spawn rates completely ruin it so I uninstalled it. As for me.....I'm not sure there IS anything that ME could take from FO4.....aside from the reepy night night background music, and may be a Pet.

I would hope that ME series picks up on Fallout's sense of humor which somehow manages to be genuinely amusing while horrifying at the same time. Read any log from a Vault computer and you'll what I'm talking about.
In terms what they should avoid, characters like Preston "Fetch Quest" Garvey ranks pretty high. Also, if your going to include factions make sure their all equally interesting. Seriously, when the main good guy faction is so boring that Technophile Nazis and Mad Scientist Slave Masters are more interesting to join up with there's a major problem.

Modding potential. One of my favorite memories of FO4 was a jetpack mod + custom deathbot companion + Jamaica Plains. The robot would draw all the ferals, I'd light up a cigarette (mod), turn on the radio and snipe them from a rooftop. Also, the plastic surgeon. And nice scars. Nancy progressively went from quotidian quasi-50s housewife to this: And that continuous development and involvement was fun. Its level scaling can go die though. Nuka-world at level toodamnhigh murdered my enthusiasm. Having too shoot a nuka-lurk 7 times with a guass rifle is not my idea of a fun time.

I think the funniest thing I've seen in FO4 is that railroad agent trying shoot at the cutouts and mannequins in that makeshift shooting range, and losing his balance.

Well they are dirty robot loving hippies that use subversion and deceit to win their battles, so their agents sucking at actual combat is kind of realistic.

I loved the ability to catch cats and keep them in your settlement, as well. FO4 is probably the only game where the protagonist can keep both a cat and a dog. It was too bad you couldn't pet both of them, though. You could love on Dogmeat somewhat, but it wasn't nearly as much as he deserved. Wait. You can have a cat as a pet as well?! How did I miss this in the game! Granted I haven't finished it so maybe it happens later on in the game

There's a settlement that has a named tabby wandering around the porch, but if you're prepared to go through a paywall, then you too can have a virtual cat that you don't get to name or pet roam your settlements. You just have to go through the trouble of collecting softshell mirelurk meat (not just regular mirelurk meat--softshell mirelurk meat) first. ...I totally did it at every single one.

Honestly, I hope not much.
I liked Fallout 4, but only liked it. It was a good game, but a bad fallout sequel.
It was a fun action game with a few RPG features, a really neat build-a-settlement system, and had some good voice acting from a handful of npcs. I genuinely had a good time playing it, but overall it felt so shallow compared to New Vegas in terms of who your character was (which is partly an issue any game has going from non-voiced to voiced PC)
Really there's not a lot in the way to be your own character in that game, you're a concerned/determined mother/father that is desperately trying to find your child and generally speaking you're a good person. You can make some odd-ball jokes if you like or be kind of annoyed when people ask you to do stuff but at the end of the day it's nothing that strays from the character the game wants and is telling you to be.
There's nothing wrong with being that kind of character and had I been given choices, that's probably who I still would have been. It reminds me of what Casey Hudson said years ago when he was still working with Bioware.
Mind you I am paraphrasing something I heard/read years ago. But when they were looking at statistics on the choices people made in Mass Effect, they saw that people generally picked Paragon/Good choices. He said that they wouldn't want to take away or limit people's options for budget/ease knowing ahead of time they were still likely to choose that same one option anyway. He said something along the lines of knowing you can make a "bad" choice but instead doing the right thing gave it more weight. People needed to know that if they wanted to, they could have done something different.
Fallout 4 in the most important parts of character and story development just didn't really have it. It was messy and it was frustrating not having the right options to express more than "okay sure I'll do this for you" in 3 slightly different tones.

It is kind of a shame you can't opt to change the institute without pissing all the other factions off. It was easily the prettiest place in any fallout game.
At the same time, that room where you can see them make them synths from beginning to end might have been the scariest thing I've ever seen in any game ever.
