I didn't find the Event mission anywhere this WE?? Was it supposed to be a apex mission you play ?? I'm really confused about this event :/ The two "events" have been really disappointing so far. Both have been an extra Bronze Apex mission, so some people have ended up sending their Strike Teams to them without realizing they were a special mission. You didn't, as far as I know, get any special reward for them other than the normal APEX mission rewards (Mission Funds and bonus xp/credits if those were present). It's a far, far cry from the individual and community events of ME3 that rewarded us with N7 weapons.

So, the Remnant Ruins are tricky. Wiped two attempts at that so far...

Could be a dumb question, but can anybody clarify how they work this time? I loved the community challenges design ftom ME3, and those had been the best part of DAImp to me. I've seen those tiny stories onBW blog, but I'm confused about how and what am I supposed to do with it, what are the objectives etc. MEA is user-unfriendly on many levels, and that includes MP UI.

I've seen those tiny stories onBW blog, but I'm confused about how and what am I supposed to do with it, what are the objectives etc. MEA is user-unfriendly on many levels, and that includes MP UI. They're just additional APEX missions available when starting a custom match (or from the Strike Teams terminal in single player). Bronze only for the most part, with the most recent one on Silver. While usually they coincide with some new content being available (currently, that would be the Remnant Ruins map), there's nothing unique or special about the missions themselves and in fact you can just as well send an APEX team to claim the mission funds. And yes, mission funds are the grand reward, enough to buy whopping 2 medigel from the item store for your trouble. I don't think it needs to be said there's nothing even remotely comparable to ME3's reward packs that unlocked N7 weapons.

So, why did BW decide the can the weekend events? Does anyone know? Only as far as I'm aware they were a massive draw to the game, something special to do in a set period of time for a special reward, this new approach doesn't make too much sense to me.

You got nothing special... it was pretty confusing because Bioware announced the Salarian Architect at the same time & i though that he would be the reward for the event like N7 weapons for ME3... It's a shame, ME3's WE missions were so much better (special banners, 100% chance to get a N7 weapon, ...) Thanks for your answer.

After tonight I no longer want weekend challenges to come back. The game crashed eight times out of nine attempts to play the game tonight. I lost a couple of level 4 consumables the first time and it really pissed me off. I can't imagine how mad it would make me if I couldn't finish a special event because the game is so unstable. ME2 was my favorite game of all time but I think this is going to be the last bioware game for me.

As this is my second Bioware game I've purchased/played, I'm hoping that the development past release for ME:A doesn't take the same suicide jump as DA:I. Admittedly, I think I could play both games without further development, but the blue screens and errors are getting a little tiresome. Could most of the mystery just sum up to P2P hosting strength? I find when I host games there are usually no dropped players and I have yet to host migrate, but not knowing my latency to the host's game leaves each match up to chance.
I am vaguely hopeful that the weekend events are taking a back seat to optimizing gameplay and minimizing errors...
