- Dare I hope this is the start of the DA4 Writers' Pit...?

That would put them in Edmonton on Monday, and we already know Alexis Kennedy is starting on a DA-related project this month. The devs have been very active the past couple of days, too. I feel things are going to be coming together for DA4 like Voltron, in Edmonton v/soon. 

Aha! I have been speculating ever since The Descent came out that Courtney Woods might end up on the DA4 writing team. I hope this is my prediction coming true, because it had such neat dwarfy stuff in it and I want to see more. Wonder if they're moving Hall Hood northwards too? (Of course, someone has to stay in Austin to write ... whatever Austin is currently doing, I guess, which I have no idea about.)

Likely not, as those events have been precluded by the events of DAI.

The Descent got me really interested in knowing more about the dwarves, too. Before that, I mostly found them to be boring and annoying. DAO set me on that path because while I loved exploring the Deep Roads, the Orzammar arc was my least favourite due to it being very political and forcing my Warden, who was supposed to keep her nose out of politics, to make a decision the dwarves should have made for themselves. (I disliked the Landsmeet for the same reason).

But yes, all this about Titans etc. has me thirsting for more dwarven lore, for sure.

Why do I feel like Kal Sharok will not be full of politically obsessed to the point of self endangerment dwarves like Orzamaar? Maybe because that mindset got them abandoned? Probably wishful thinking.

Regarding main quests: They should have cut out Jarvia as a mission, and it would have been better.

I don't understand where this thought comes from. Orzammar made a decision to protect themselves. I don't know that it was politically minded over them doing what they felt they had to do in the circumstance.

I was referring mostly to the all of the Dwarven Empire. The political infighting nearly ended the dwarves while the 1st Blight bore down on them. Only Aeducan rallying the Smith caste got the roads collapsed in time to give them room to get their heads out of their asses. Which is why e was made Paragon and his line made into Kings. Then the Warden shows up for the 5th Blight and the dwarves are like, "nanner nannr not till we have an official King." What does that sound like? Oh. The same response o the 1st Blight that nearly got them wiped off Thedas as a race.

Edit add: occurs to me that you may have thought I was referring to their decision to cut off Kal Sharok out of self preservation. I was not. But if the in fighting hadn't been so bad, it is possible it would never have gone as far as the need to cut them off. Therefore, to be unlike Orzamaar, they would be against political infighting, making them unlike Orzamaar dwarves. Which to me, would be a good thing.
