Finished a console playthrough, hardcore. Classic engineer build (EMP, turret, incinerate, later changed out turret for remnant) black widow, falcon w/ automatic fire augmentation. I really like the automatic fire falcon. Staggers people like crazy. Thinking about going NG+ and trying a new build. Sentinel is pretty fun, I think it's my favourite. The Valkyrie modded for Auto-fire and with 3 KC's is pretty kick ass. Yeah Sentinel is probably my favourite Andromeda class as wel mixing both the tec hand Biotic powers is great fun. Though it's kinda strange given Sentinel is one of my least favourites in the trilogy along with Vanguard. I like all the classes though but playing Sentinel in MEA is far better than in the trilogy at leas tfor me. Was going to run a sentinel on my next Ryder in fact. As I was thinking of having a similar build to my Adept Ryder I did last time out except mixing a fwe tech powers in with it. The only thing I haven' t quite decided yet is whethe rt ous Overload or Incinerate as part of m yprimar ybuild along with pull and shockwave. Mostly because I think both will lead to good combo's especially against the Remnant. But either way I'll make that choice when I start playing I won't make it now though I am leaning towards overload atm.

I finished and was so enraptured I actually immediately started a New Game++ with a female Ryder.
There are so many men to romance I'm actually extremely distraught. I don't know who to choose.
I never liked Liam but he seems to be such a good fit for the Ryder I just created. What the heck? But I need to experience Jaal...and let's not forget the real reason I made this Ryder: Reyes!
Oh no.

Liam's romance is good I think especially if you are playing a casual, light hearted, comedic Sara, I didn't like him for several PT's but was convinced to do the romance by others and it changed my view of him. Plus you can get in some early "action" if you are keen. Jaal just did not work for me, I tried twice but by the time it came to commit I had to bail. Just too sickly sweet for me.

Started my NG+ yesterday and turned the difficulty down to normal so I could screw around. Shotgun build. Made a burst fire Ruzzad. It was TERRIBLE. I was hoping for a quasi-claymore BANGBANGBANG but instead it's bang-wait-bang-wait-bang. It's awkward and garbo. Made a fully auto Katana shotgun and it's not much better. What's a shotgun that doesn't suck in SP? Also, I have a shield / flamethrower build and its fun as hell without being as cheesy as biotic charge. I have shield drain as the third ability, but it's meh. Any suggestions? IMO the Ruzad doesn't pair well with any fire type augment. But its innate +10% to melee damage makes it pretty good for a cqb build. The best shotguns in vanilla (single clip dps wise) are: Dhan > Hesh > Piranha > (Shorty) > Reegar (only against shielded enemies) > Disciple > everything else.
Fire type Augs drastically reduce the damage, so they might not be that great for shotguns (IMO), as most of those have a limited clip size.
As for skills: Energy drain actually looks to be the perfect match for flamethrower, as it drains enemy shields ( ) and is a detonator. Any other Detonator, like e.g., throw would also be good.

Oh no. I really appreciated at last being able to switch genders for a NG+ playthrough. The profile system made switching classes unnecessary, but that was another feature I desperately wanted to see in the OT.
Liam is my favorite romance for a FemRyder, although Reyes comes in a close second.

I can honest say I didn’t like a single male romance option in MEA. Jaal is easily the worst though, between the options lying to you as well as some of his dialogue just making me really uncomfortable.

I liked Jaal's romance but it is so sweet you need to get checked for diabetes afterwards. Still the jon snow scene is pretty cool.

Went out with the girls Cora and Peebee doing some sightseeing on Kadara. En route we picked down some Outlaws and assisted a brave lonesome Allied, who was fighting one man against a bunch of crazy Outlaws. Having done the game twice, I just love to revisit places in the open worlds of the planets. Iceskate drive on Voeld, do some crazy dune buggy on Elaaden, enjoy to hangout in the bar on Aya, engage in a fist fight with Drack against a crowd at Kadara Port.

The lonesome Allied is found near Sulfur Springs, Kadara, though he seems to appear randomly. But when, he is engaged fighting Outlaws alone. I always imagine, he gets very happy, when the cavalry arrives

It is indeed a fun game to just roam and explore with some really beautiful environments. I wish they'd had more time to populate more vegetation in some of the places even though some of the environments wouldn't make sense like Kadara with it's toxic water. Hey but Dinosaurs can drink it so...... Different unique animals for each planet would have been good and another ethereal/tropical type planet like Havarl but different would have been great.

Well, if you like vegetation Havarl is the place to go!
But I agree on the missing diversity on how the animals look on the different system. It seems quite clear, the team was pressed on finishing the game.
One thing I really wished had been possible, multiplayer explore/missions in the open worlds. Maybe even a multiplayer part, where one team was say Outlaws.

Yeah Havarl is rather overgrown, but I love it. I loved the look and it added another dimension to combat. After playing The Division 1 before MEA I fully expected Co-Op Main Missions, it's just such a good idea. You of course can complete them by yourself but it was so much fun to do them with friends/Randoms in Co-Op at higher difficulty levels when you finished the main game.

The sneaking and fighting through the water in the chasm is one of the best parts of Havarl - and for the whole planet the twilight, the luminescent flower/mushrooms, the sounds of animals in the jungle - the lost city/buildings, the climb up to Mithrava nerve wrecking.

A question for those currently playing mea or those who've chosen sniper-like builds in the past (or anyone else, too):
If there were a Targeting VI consumable available in single player (I.e., Headshot/Weakpoint bonus), would you prefer it to last for a certain amount of time (say, a minute or so) or rather a certain amount of shots (like the 3-magazine sizes that the ammo-consumables last)

A question for those currently playing mea or those who've chosen sniper-like builds in the past (or anyone else, too): If there were a Targeting VI consumable available in single player (I.e., Headshot/Weakpoint bonus), would you prefer it to last for a certain amount of time (say, a minute or so) or rather a certain amount of shots (like the 3-magazine sizes that the ammo-consumables last) I usually did not use consumables much, except for the rebalanced Emergengy Life Support you made , but since I used all kinds of rifles from Isharay to Shadow, I guess it would be a good thing balance-wise if the duration could be based on the weapon damage somewhat. Let's say the consumable lasts for 2500 base weapon damage, a (basic) BW could fire 5 shots, an Isharay 4 and a Shadow around 40. Don't know if the game engine even supports that though, I'm just spitballing. Else duration-based might have to do. I'd rather have a specific time frame rather than magazine size because I normally use VHS on my main weapon (which is also normally the Black Widow). I vaguely remember the VHS penalty of 60% ammo. I used to squeeze 4 (or more) shots into a BW magazine and then had the BW replace the Vanquisher, but only used VHS on the Isharay, as there isn't much reason not to. Does a VHS BW without passives end up only having one shot left to overheat or is it two?
