No MEA yet today. I have been thinking about weapon loadouts. I think I might craft an autofire burst-fire Dhan for my next Vanguard. I'll have the autofire/seeking plasma Hesh for intermediate range. The Dhan would be for close-range destruction. (I'm pretty sure that an autofire Hesh sans SP would be more optimal, but variety is fun.) It might be fun to use a character armed only with shotguns (and biotics). I could always slap a Hornet or Valkyrie on my leg for longer ranges, but the Hesh (with Seeking Plasma) has pretty good accuracy and range. I wish some of the prettier MW shotguns were as good as these kett booger-guns. I also want to try out the Vanquisher and Inferno sniper rifles. I'm not really a sniper rifle kind of guy, but I occasionally get the urge to try it once more. I don't think I've ever tried a customized version of either of these weapons. Really, I wish I could duplicate the joy that the M90 Indra brought me in ME3. The way autofire weapons were implemented in MEA SP, though, the new Indra just sucks. An autofire Incisor is pretty insane, but is very unstable. It's more of a gimmick weapon, great for killing bosses at range (Architects!), but little else. Hmm, Beam Emitter gives perfect stability. I believe it's mutually exclusive with the autofire augmentation, and would reduce range. It might be worth trying on the Incisor just for kicks. Actually, recalling some things about the BE augmentation, this would suck ass. I also gave the Sandstorm AR a once over after recovering one. I typically hate scopes, so that pretty much killed most of my interest. Statistically, I thought it looked like it might perform well with autofire or a beam emitter. It has a small clip size, similar to the Valkyrie, so it would be annoying but manageable. I'd like to see a new weapon on Ryder's shoulder, too. That damn scope, though... Ugh. I've never even tried the PAW. I've heard its praises sung for over a year, now. I might have build one to carry with that Hesh I keep mentioning. The PAW can do some crazy things. Put a sticky grenade augment on it for an armor-killer. Use it as is or with an electrical conduit to obliterate shields and Remnant. Surprisingly, it will accept an autofire augmentation and does get some benefit from it. This might be the gun that finally sees me try Bioconverter cheese. If I could recolor the Remnant Armor to all white with orange or blue lights, I'd run with that and a bioconverter PAW right now. It would be my "weird alien tech" kit. That armor is just so damn ugly, though, and can't be properly tinted. I've been trying to think of unorthodox builds that I have never tried and might be fun. I like Annihilation. I could partner that with Cryobeam and Concussive Shot/Nova for an entertaining close-quarters build. I'd play that as a Vanguard for the melee boosts, too. Lots of freezing, smashing and explosions. I've never once used Shockwave (hated it in ME2, never tried it since). Maybe Annihilation, Pull and Shockwave? I don't know. Biotic Combos kind of suck at actually killing things. The key is to come up with something fun but slightly less optimal than my usual builds. All this theory-crafting has finally whetted my appetite for gameplay. If only I had 10K research points to burn in each category. I'll have to load one of my NG+ saves if I want to try any of these weapons. Edit: This might seem to be getting a bit esoteric, but bear with me. The Beam Emitter overrides the RoF for any weapon. This means, unless they're mutually exclusive (I can't recall, but I think not), one could attach a BE and whichever RoF augmentation provides the coolest perks. This could lead to insane weapons. Imagine a Dhan with burst fire, 50m range, and perfect accuracy and stability. Pretty cool. I might look into some of these weird possibilities. Element Zero you always astound me with your analysis of the gun mechanics and stats. I am not a detail person in that regard, I am generally a big picture strategy type person so your insights help me a lot. My decision on a weapon is usually, hey that looks cool, I like the sound of that weapon and then - wow doesn't do much damage or this thing rocks In general I hate burst fire weapons but thanks to you I made your Valkyrie build that changed it to auto and that thing is the best. In terms of its clip size I just carry two of them and an SMG which still keeps the weight down. I also prefer a bit of distance in combat so the AR suits me best not too close and not too far that you need the Sniper Rifle, although if I am not worried about weight I carry one just for some fun every now and then. I have been enjoying using the Krysae in ME3 every now and then.

dazk , I’m glad all my rambling helps someone a bit. I feel like we missed out on a lot of this type of discussion because of MEA’s poor reception. With ME3, there were ongoing discussions that lead to rebalances and patches. With MEA, there simply aren’t many people looking to have those discussions. The discussions are limited, too, by the fact that no patches will ever hit consoles. (Mods can do this stuff.) You know I love this type of stuff. Particularly with MEA, it’s a big part of my fun. I feel like MEA’s story content is weaker, but its base mechanics stronger. I like to try to think of new ways to enjoy the gameplay. Some of these augmentations are dramatic enough in effect that it’s nearly the same as introducing new guns.

Bits and pieces of Andromeda today. Eliza and Hayate braved Eos and got promptly gunned down by the remnant. That pillar near the settlement just gives me so much trouble and I'm to scatterbrained for tactics. I must have been itching for an infiltrator when I made them, because they are both of that ilk. Kinda want to switch Hayate to something more biotic. A cheap Kai-Leng knock off with less fancy moves but better punch. The Incisor looks lovely with Eliza's outfit, but I'm rubbish when using it since I prefer my sniper rifles to have fewer but harder shots. Hayate did eventually make it inside the vault and to the fight at the first water. May or may not have died there...
Scotty boy drove around Eos then visited Aya. Talked to Avela and as usual this sentence popped up in my mind "I see Earth in your eyes. Literally." And then like, are the landmasses correct? I dunno lived in space most of the time.
Then made a very weak attempt at the Voeld Kett Base with Yasmine. Managed to de-activate the security shield but got gunned down on the path to the hidey hole. Too late to make another attempt and she should probably beef up a bit first, since manic running wont really impress the boss residing there. She just has no taste.
So it was mostly saying hi to backlog faces.

I find the key is to not get sucked into the middle of it, just try and hang back and keep every thing in front of you and let Drack get all the attention.

Craft a Valkyrie with Automatic fire mod and slap on it the stock, clip and barrel mods. BEST.WEAPON.EVER. I'm so tired of this weapon, though. 😖 It's so good that it's difficult to pass up, but it's very repetitive having it on nearly every build. It's my second "favorite" weapon, in terms of effectiveness, after the Hesh (autofire, seeking plasma). It sounds a hell of a lot better than the loud ass Hesh. I'm thinking of building a Vanguard who's "assault rifle" is the Dhan (burst fire, beam emitter) that I describe above. The primary will remain the Hesh. Shooting is option #4 or 5 on a Vanguard, so that should be plenty of versatility. In terms of "Soldier" builds, I might start trying PAW variants. Electrical Conduit and Sticky Grenade, as well as "stock" particle beam, will be the initial trials. I'm also going to finally indulge in some Bioconverter cheese. I'll suit up in some monochrome Remnant Armor (to see how it looks) for Health Regen and just Fire to my heart's content. I've never used Bioconverter, since it breaks and already uber-easy game. That said, I'm running out of new stuff to try. (Really, I ran out last summer.) It's time to dig deep and leave no stones unturned! I wanted to play a bit tonight, but I subluxated my left index DIP while using eyedrops. F$&@ EDS-HT. That, combined with a lovely Mast Cell explosion earlier, made today a fun reminder of how shite my weird body can be. That DIP is on my L-bumper finger, so I should probably let it rest. I'll watch some more YouTube PC gaming vids and get sleepy pondering the possibilities.

I forgot my antihistamines, and wasn't wearing my ring splints, so I let my guard down. 🙄 The Remnant Armor looks butt ugly. I'm going to see if it's any more tolerable in all black, or black and red. I doubt it is. It's too spiky. I can always fall back to the Hyperguardian Armor and use Shield Accelerator Augmentations (+Health and Shield Regen with huge Health and Shield boosts). Hyperguardian can look really good with that nice "carbon fiber" (nano fiber ?) chestplate colored distinctively. I'd still prefer to mod in Liam or Cora's gear for a change of pace. 😒 I might mess around in the CC for a while. I want to see if I can do anything to redeem Frankenforehead (Sara #9). I like a challenge, after all.

Okay, I just did a bunch of weapons testing. (The finger was sore, but not terrible. I won't do any sustained play.) I tested the weapons listed below. They are either somewhat uniquely customized weapons I wanted to try, or simply stuff I'd never yet used. Everthing is Tier 10 with a Level 132 character. * Vanquisher SR (Dbl Mod Extension, Kinetic Coil x3): Not bad. I wish it had a bigger clip size. * Inferno SR (Kinetic Coil x4 + Bioconverter or Battlefield Assist Module): Holy Moly! This is the SR I've been missing! It's a particle weapon, so it can't penetrate. It's Remnant, so no need for clip mods. This means no mod extension is needed. 5 KCs for damage are the way to go, or 4 with a Battlefield Assist Module (+20% dmg is shields and health 100%). It was a blast headshotting kett on Eos with this thing. I even demolished a fiend that got up close while still using the scope. I like this SR. It will be my go-to SR henceforth. * PAW (Automatic Fire, Kinetic Coil x4 or Kinetic Coil x3 and Bioconverter): I can't believe it took me so long to try this. Henceforth, this is one of my go-to ARs. It melts enemies very quickly, regardless of health/shields/armor. It already has "unlimited ammo", so no need for a VHS. The Bioconverter, if used, allows for continuous, uninterrupted fire. The fact that it's a beam weapon means that it can't penetrate but has flawless accuracy and stability. That being the case, no mod extension needed. *PAW (Same as above with Electrical Conduit): Great weapon that really shreds shields, but didn't feel better than the "stock" particle beam. If anything, I liked the beam better, as it seemed more effective against armored foes than the EC. * Dhan (Burst-fire, Bioconverter, Beam Emitter, Kinetic Coils): This is insane. Since it's a beam weapon, no mod extension needed. Burst-fire breaks you free from the slow ToF of the stock Dhan. The BE gives flawless accuracy and stability. It fires three consecutive beam pulses per trigger-pull, inflicting standard Dhan damage at up to 50m (with perfect accuracy). I was headshotting everything. Then, I switched to close-quarters and still found it good. (In CQC, I still favor the Hesh or non-BE Dhan for their brutal spread.) This gun can easily serve as a primary weapon for most builds due to its range, accuracy and insane damage. It's even quiet. Instead of the explosive shotgun sound, you get a triple energy pulse. Nice. I also built some basic Tier 10 Remnant Armor. It actually looked okay in my blue-and-white Ai color scheme. It was mostly white, had blue edging and orange lights. Those lights being orange, rather than the red I'd expected, is nice. It looks much, much better. It's still complementary with dark colors ehile being truly complementary with the Ai blue and white. It's not the prettiest armor, but it wasn't hideous. It looked alien, like the PAWs on my back. I'm not sure how much of a role the armor played (since I forgot to test in a different armor); but the Health-leeching of the Bioconverter was completely unnoticeable. Naturally, I had Life Support (from Team Support) evolved. It may be that this is enough at high-levels to completely offset a Bioconverter. Maybe the regen on the armor helped, too, but I never saw my health even drop for more than a split second. Bioconverter might be even more brokenly powerful than I believed, allowing one to completely bypass ammo restrictions nearly without penalty (assuming an active tech skill and Life Support). I'm glad to have identified some powerful new weapons. One could play nearly any build with only the Dhan researched. (One with Beam Emitter+Burst-fire, one standard+Burst-fire). I'll likely try to use the PAW some, too. Remnant research is abundant; but one might have to choose between two of three when looking at the above Remnant items (armor, PAW, Inferno) during a NG. That's probably not a big deal for most people. EDIT: I forgot to test the PAW/Sticky Grenade. I needed to deconstruct something and build it, but forgot. I'll check it out now. The Biotic Trebuchet , nice pics! I really like the omniblade neck-stab and Sara jumping out of cover to fire.

You never find Remnant weapons in SP. You have to craft them. I'm nearly certain that you'll never find an augmentation in a store or as loot until you've researched it. You get one as part of your initial research, and then it will begin appearing randomly in the wild. Remnant Research Points are abundant, so that's in your favor. MW points, by comparison, are very limited. Definitely add the Automatic Fire augmentation to your PAW. It adds RoF (and thus DPS), but doesn't apply the accuracy or stability penalties since the PAW is a Beam Weapon. It's a pure boost. It slightly alters the appearance of the beam, if I recall the appearance of the standard PAW correctly. I think it looks cool. The shops that sell Augmentations are the Nexus Docking Bay shop; a male Angara in Aya's market; and the merchant at Paradise on Elaaden (identity varies). Getting just what you want can be hit and miss, but there's nearly always something worth grabbing in stock. (Eventually, you'll want a bunch of X, even if you don't need it presently.) If you like SMGs as sidearms, the Hornet is insane in SP. It is arguably the best "assault rifle" in the game. It's way more accurate than its stat block suggests. It's on par with the Valkyrie, at the very least, in terms of accuracy and overall quality.

I'm still trying to locate at least a second Bioconverter for my ongoing weapons testing. I have only my original R&D, and it's part of my Dhan (Burst-fire, Beam Emitter, Kinetic Coils). That is the best all purpose weapon I've encountered in a year of playing MEA. I want to try a few more weapons. The testing wouldn't be possible without loitering Remnant, trespassing Kett and Scavs being Scavs. Thanks, chumps!
Valkyrie (Autofire, Beam Emitter, Bioconverter): This could be fun. The Dhan-BfBE far outclasses every version of the PAW that I've tried. I want to see if the Valkyrie can compete. The base Valkyrie seems to have excellent penetration, and the BE would negate that. That said, it also negates the muzzle climb and gives it +200% stability. No Dbl Mod Extension would be needed, so damage boosters like the Kinetic Coil could be substituted. The Bioconverter would turn this into an unending death-ray. I'm curious to see how much health this eats, since the Valkyrie-Auto has a high RoF. The health loss is easily offset when using the Dhan.
PAW (Sticky Grenade): I still haven't built this. I really need to get on it. It's not something I really need, but it looks fun as hell, unleashing explosion after explosion with great accuracy. I suspect that this could chew up armor pretty well. I don't know if it will be as good as the Hesh-FASP (full-auto, seeking plasma), but I'd still like to try it.
I've been testing alternative builds, also. This is not an optimization exercise, though I always find myself comparing builds' performance. I tried tons of builds with every imaginable assortment of active skills. They were mostly sort of meh. A build might be great fun against organics, but lame versus Remnant. Others might be flashy but fail to kill targets efficiently. The only with which I had consistent fun is one I had tried long ago:
Sentinel (Lance/Annihilation/Energy Drain): This fits might aggressive playstyle. It doesn't have the awesome closing speed of the Charge build (swap Lance and Charge), but it is also less repetitive. I evolve Lance to use use shields rather than cooldown so that it's always available. This increases the risk/reward, since you can deplete your Barrier pretty quickly. That's where Energy Drain, likely the game's best all-around active skill, comes into the picture. It immediately restores barriers while also priming/detonating. Since you have Annihilation, lots of detonations are happening at all times. With the FMoA, you're ED should be off cooldown nearly all of the time. If its not, Lance or Melee something to death and then ED something else to death. Pretty fun. I'm not sure what I'd call this guy. Biotic Bomber? (I tried builds with Nova in place of Lance, but Lance is just better. They both hit like a biotic grenade, but Nova doesn't detonate and lacks Lance's range. Nuff said. I also used Shockwave. Very flashy, sort of fun, but less effective.)
Ugh. Can't find a damn Bioconverter in any shop. I'm starting to wonder whether they can even be bought. I'll check Google.

The only with which I had consistent fun is one I had tried long ago: Sentinel (Lance/Annihilation/Energy Drain): This fits might aggressive playstyle. I thought you could only get the Bioconverter from random drops as I have only ever received 3 or 4 in all my PT's and I don't remember seeing it in any of the shops. I think I also read somewhere that the Annointed are the most likely to drop them and that you can supposedly farm them when you rescue The Moshae by not getting on the shuttle but just staying and killing lots of Annointed.

I think I also read somewhere that the Annointed are the most likely to drop them and that you can supposedly farm them when you rescue The Moshae by not getting on the shuttle but just staying and killing lots of Annointed. That's what I've assumed and quit looking. I think that actually makes good sense, given its bizarre properties and extra-galactic lore. I will hope to grab a few during my next PT, I guess. This is what I get for never even researching it. I created a new Sara. I used #10, who has excellent starting features. I just pull in her mandibles and make minor adjustments to her cheekbones, lips, nose and eyes. I used the #0 (? Maybe #1?) skin texture that may belong to default Sara. It looks a bit like Suvi, too, though. I'll eye Suvi later and see if it's her texture. Anyway, I used tone 1.5, which is fairly Bronze. I gave Scott (also head #10) the same bronzed skin and light brown eyes. I gave Sara green (lifelike green) for a change of pace, though I really like how Scott's eyes look. I'm not sure if I'll play thus Sara immediately, import her into my ongoing PT, or what. I kind of want to use my new gear, but don't relish restarting the entire game. Something has to give. dazk , I did try to redeem head #9. The cheekbones proved the undoing. I elevated nearly all of the features in order to reduce that expansive forehead. It was going okay, though I'm not a fan of that head's eyes. Anyway, the cheekbones couldn't be moved upward, as they were already listed around 18-20. This meant an odd relativism between the new eye placement and old cheekbones. I LOLed and moved onto pretty head #10. Scott Morph #10 is pretty versatile. I've created white dudes, black dudes and a couple of other ethnicities from #10. I think it's by far my favorite starting point for Scott, unless I'm going for an Asian Scott. My new Scott looked young in the CC. We'll see how many decades are added in-game. 🙄

I decided to try out a Valkyrie (Bioconverter, Autofire , Beam Emitter, Kinetic Coils). I loaded a file, dissembled my Dhan, knowing that I could back out if I wanted to do so. (I'm not sure if there's a glitch, or if I found one without knowing. In any case, after disassembling, I had 2 Bioconverters. Excellent!) As expected, the custom Valkyrie (Valkyrie-FABE/bio) is a great gun. It felt very much on par with the Dhan version (Dhan BFBE/bio). They both blow away the PAW version, and feel on par with the Hesh-FASP (that's full-auto, seeking plasma) sans Bioconverter. They each have respective advantages. The Valkyrie is lighter and has a larger clip capacity. The Dhan offers two guns (this all purpose version plus a more standard CQC shotgun build) for the cost of one research project. In a new game, one could build the Dhan(s) first and be well equipped for every encounter. Later, you could build your Valkyrie once MW points are more readily available. It's really all up to personal taste. They both do a ridiculous amount of damage with crazy accuracy and unlimited ammo. I've only tested the Bioconverter at higher levels. The hp-eating effect will no doubt be less player-friendly at lower levels. At the very least, I'd recommend getting Team Support (Life Support) into your build before using the Bioconverter. Here are the builds of the two guns, in case anyone is interested. The Valkyrie or Dhan make a good all-rounder, able in most circumstances. The Hesh is a short to mid-range killer. It obliterates everything you shoot. This is my primary gun for a Vanguard. It's so accurate that you barely have to aim. Just point in the general direction. N7 ValkyrieAugmentations * Beam Emitter: DPS stays the same, but the weapon fires a sustained particle beam. It's stability is increased 200%. Its fire mode becomes "automatic". Range becomes 50m. * Autofire: This might seem redundant, but it's not. BE gives you a 500 RoF. This augmentation ups it to 750, increasing your DPS. * Bioconverter: When your clip hits empty, instead of overheating, it will immediately reset to 100% capacity at the cost of 5% of your health. (Since you have Life Support and an active Tech Skill, this is no big deal.) * Kinetic Coils: Since you only need two mods, you don't need a Mod Extension. This means you have room for 2 Kinetic Coils (assuming you have the Crypod Perk that grants an extra augmentation slot). This bumps your weapon damage by +6%. (You should also have an Asari Sword or Cryogauntlet with 5 Kinetic Coils. This will grant you an "always on" +15% weapon damage.) Modifications * Barrel and Heavy Clip DhanAugmentations * Beam Emitter: DPS stays the same. Weapon fires precise particle beams instead of pellet spreads. The gun gains 50m range and supreme stability and accuracy. * Burst-fire: This grants you +50% RoF. It also makes the gun fire 3 consecutive particle beams per trigger pull. * Bioconverter: as explained above in Valkyrie entry. * Kinetic Coil: You only have room for one, rather than 2, since this is a Rare weapon rather than Ultra Rare. Modifications * Barrel and Melee HeshAugmentations * Autofire: The Hesh already has a high RoF for a shotgun. Now, it's scary fast. * Seeking Plasma: This gives the Hesh crazy accuracy even at mid-range. It also retains armor penetration, unlike a particle beam. * Bioconverter: as above. Completely removes the modest shot capacity as a barrier. Modifications * Barrel and melee Asari Sword or CryogauntletAugmentations * Kinetic Coils x 5: I mentioned this above, but it's worth repeating. These are Ultra Rare weapons, and therefore offer up to 5 augmentation slots. The +15% weapon damage you'll gain is always on, since your melee weapon is always equipped. You'd be crazy not to have one of these. I like the sword for the few frames of invincibility offered by the teleport. (If you're entirely a caster, eschewing weapons, you may use Reaction Optimizers instead for +15% power combo damage. Now, I'm off to actually play some MEA instead of typing about it. Edit: Cleaned up typos. Autocorrect messes up things that are already correct and fails to catch actual typos. Useless.

I played some more MEA last night. I stuck with my ongoing PT. I’m not totally attached to this character, story, etc... but my talk about starting over was nuts.
For once, my session is easy to recap. I played H-047C in its entirety. Before heading planetside, I constructed a new AR, the Valkyrie-FABE/bio I’ve been discussing. This was my first time using it on a character who is not fully leveled. She’s level 66 (ish ?), so still pretty well developed. Using the BE in combination with Turbocharge can be crazy. The BE allegedly works a bit like the Rozerad in that it does greater damage the longer the beam is sustained. While the beam looks like one continuous thing, these guns do have RoF. Turbocharge pushes that RoF through the roof and boosts damage. Crazy results ensue. I actually started trying alternatives to Turbocharge because it broke the game beyond the point of even being enjoyable. It felt like Casual, where one quick shot kills every enemy. Right now, I’m running with Soldier (Assault Turret/Tactical Cloak/Invasion). Who knows what it will be later? I’ve considered all sorts of alternatives for Assault Turret, but it’s so damn useful.
It was fun to revisit this world. It had been since last summer that I last played. I jumped some trenches; ramped some craters; shot some Outlaws being Outlaws; and melted a Remnant “Progenitor” Destroyer in seconds with my new gun. I’ve always enjoyed the Progenitor as a sort of benchmark test. If it’s tough, your gear, skills or build could use work. If it’s easy, you’re in good shape. If it’s dead in less than 15 seconds, you might be a tad overly optimized. Fun planet (moon!) with great views and mechanics. I was expecting, or at least hoping for, more worlds like this one before the game released. Space has tons of places of staggering extremes. Garden worlds full of life shouldn’t be the norm, even in this game. I wish we could’ve landed on more of these barren places. Others might’ve gotten bored, but I enjoy these empty, lifeless beauties.
Next, PeeBee wants to look for PoC on Elaaden. I’ll stop and see Rorik while we are in New Tuchanka. Then, maybe we’ll check out the Nexus with its sleepy Turian arrivals. After that, the only thing on the agenda is to track down the Archon in Tafeno.

Completely not a fan of Addison but I was listening to her in our first real chat. She really did want those golden worlds, she really doesn't like Tann in charge because he's an accountant running a civilian initiative and has no vision. OTOH, Tann is far more supportive of Ryder than Addison so they both have their pluses and minuses. Funny how I'm perceiving them both differently in my third PT. Now, I hated that she says no one is a pathfinder until they've pathfound but at least she acknowledges she's not really a colonial director without colonies. Dr. Carlyle is extremely evasive about Alec's death. "How did he die?" "He died a hero. That's all that matters." Is it any wonder why people doubt he's actually dead? Now, he still passed on his SAM link to Ryder but something is suspicious here. Headed to the docking bay to find the ship that Tann had provided for us, the Tempest. It wasn't designed for combat, no weapons, but was extremely fast. Even from the outside it was beautiful to behold. Unfortunately, Addison tried to hold everything up. She claims the title of Pathfinder has to be earned but that places obstacles in the way. It's like she wants to sabotage the whole mission. A turian named Vetra Nyx interceded and promised the guard that she could put his son at the head of the list to be removed from cryo. He wasn't considered essential, which I'm sure was true, but being there without his child had to be hard. In any case, he gave us leave to go, Addison be damned. Boarded the Tempest. Vetra showed me around. And now I have to sign off.

Boarded the Tempest. Vetra showed me around. And now I have to sign off. Each of the leaders has strengths and weaknesses. It makes them interesting. Tann means well, but is out if his depth; is terrible with people; and is racist against krogan. His poor leadership led directly to the Uprising. He occasionally has some good moments, though, and makes some good calls. Addison knows her job well, but has emotional issues. When things get hard, she tends toward frustration and depression. Before the Uprising, she had nearly completely withdrawn into herself, leaving Sloane without proper support and allowing Tann to really bungle the situation. She also looked incredibly suspect at the time of Jien Garson's death. Was she involved? Was she alert to danger and cautiously investigating? We don't yet know. She perks up remarkably once she has stability and colonies to oversee. Kandros has done well for Sloane's right hand turian. He is a lot like Sloane in practice, but more willing to go with the flow. Maybe that's because he is "filling in for lost leadership", whereas Sloane was the legitimate Security Director dealing with an asshat Acting Director. (In her mind, she, Kesh and Addison were more legitimate. If they had just left Tann sleeping, I doubt there would've been an Uprising. That doesn't mean they wouldn't have all starved together.) Either way, Kandros is less confrontational, but otherwise very similar to Sloane. Kesh is exactly what you'd want her to be. She's good at her job. She looks out for her own responsibilities and crews first. She always pushes for cooperation and intelligent compromise. Apart from some consistently awkward dialog from Addison, almost to the point of being nonsensical, I like the way the Leadership Team is done. I alternately want to ignore, choke, and pat Tann on the back. Addison is alternately good and infuriating. Kandros and Kesh seem to have a partnership of sensibility going on the side. They try to limit the damage Tann does by backing one another as needed. It's a pretty believable dynamic.

Did quite a lot in the end. Short version: Messed around with the character creator, got to Kadara with Yasmine, saved the Moshae with Benji and landed briefly on Havarl with Ollie. Very long version: Made a few lady 9 faces, then realized that since the forehead doesn't bother me, I'm probably not making anything impressive. So scrolled through the save files and landed on Yasmine and figured heck, lets be nuts.
Infiltrated the Kett Base once more while listening to Youtube videos. Got to the hidey hole on the first try, but died during the sabotage bit. Luckily, there was a checkpoint at the door so just went at it again, this time not running into the middle of the room while the Anointed were shooting at me. Was pretty much successful that time around.
Couldn't find the first contact records, did do two sweeps of the place but then figured that maybe you can't get them without talking to that fellow. Either way he said the info got destroyed when the Angara wrecked the place. Ehhh he never does anything good with it anyways.
Visited the icy caves and got Sam a new girlfriend. A crazy girlfriend, but aren't we all?
After that, Yasmine got permission to settle down on Voeld, but was warned that she might want to deal with the Vault first. So did that. Destroyer fellow took a try or ten, but eventually fell for my superior music selection. Cold wasn't to big of a deal except for at the entrance, since I got a bit distracted for some reason and ended up dying from frostbite. Checkpoint sent me right back into peril, but Yasmine managed to scramble into a warmth bubble before her health depleted completely.
Set up an outpost after the Vault, then went back to the Tempest to read oh so many F You Ryder emails. Fight me Evfra...
Chatted Evfra up on Vid Com then went to fetch purple Vivienne. Jaal said he was dissatisfied with certain aspects of Yasmine, so he got the cold shoulder while in the team. Destroyed the factory, since well, we save them now, they get out, others get captured and cycle starts a new. Granted, now the others will get killed, but less troops for the Archon. Not that you'd notice because hot damn he has a lot of people on his payroll. But then again, he is their daddy. Ehehehe.
Anyways, I hated the extraction. But what reason is there for Krogan having short hands and how does it relate to "Giving it" to the Fiend. I need to know Drack!
Dreamed about putting Kallo and Gil in a pit and let them duke it out, mano-el-salarian. My bet is on Kallo since Gil seems drunk from the lack of sleep. Anyways, Yasmine went to Aya, blah blah blah just lemme get to Kadara. Need my popcorn Evfra...
And then Yasmine met Reyes. And don't you hate it when you've created a character, mapped out some relations, gotten really into the idea and then BAM. No chemistry.
Did get a chuckle at the Roekar base, when he goes "Careful, I may think you've started to like me" and Yasmine said "Would that be so bad?" And I could hear him in my mind going "Yes" and taking the next shuttle off Kadara, Sloanne could keep it.
Clicked the wrong button to get off the Nomad and got booted off the planet. As reconciliation Drack gave me a pass to Elaaden and Peebs pointed out the floaty planet.
---
Then loaded up Benji because I want to get more of the backlog to Kadara. And well, it's Benji. The snirk he made when teasing Peebee that Jaal only sleeps when she's there was funny. Also, yes Jaal's thighs are freaking massive. They could pop my head like a ripe mellon. And then everybody in the Nomad was uncomfortable.
Saved the imprisoned Angara and shut down some shuttles while he was at it.
Then went to close down the Kett Base. It was apparently on easy mode this time around. No notable deaths, but I might have blocked one or two from memory.
Got a bit further in the first contact record quests, but didn't go all the way and only realized it back at base and...well no I'm not hiking all the way up there for some notes you wont use Steven. It's just not happening.
AI life = Angara life, but AI doesn't have family, so boom it went.
So went back to the Tempest. Said Hi to Evfra and got a ticket to the exaltation event. Happy happy times. Did not blow up the place this time around and extraction was still horrible.
Got a bit of amusement at the end. Benji forgot to check on his sister in the Med-Bay and Lexi sent a nudging email. Please stop ignoring her, you said you got along nice with your family to Jaal after all...
--
Then a tiny bit of Ollie. Checked out her skill and she seems to be yet another infiltrator try. Or at least an engineer with a sniper rifle. Landed with her on Havarl and checked what happened if you skip talking to the leader there and go straight to saving the science team. Turns out nothing much happens, if anything at all. Atleast, there didn't seem to be any new dialog and Ollie didn't seem more confused than other Ryders to find the Angara in such a state. Then went and talked to the leader, back to the Tempest to talk to Evfra and next session for her will probably be Havarl's vault.
And you made it to the end. Huzzah. No idea how much sense this made, but it exists now.

Before the last patch, head #9 seemed far and away the most popular choice for custom Sara. I suspect you're in the majority, while a few of us have forehead fixations. Even I think that head can be good, as long as she has bangs. I'm always amazed that you can have so many PTs going at once. I'd totally lose focus and interest. I imagine it helps prevent any one thing getting stale. I played some today. I'd be playing right now if I didn't have to get up early tomorrow. I did clean up work on minor side quests, including the recovery of PoC on Elaaden. I love the "Scavenger Law" guy. This game has tons of great NPCs and moments like that. We found both the Archon and Ark Paarchero. One got crippled with an EMP; the other came home to the Nexus. Pathfinder Raeka gave her life trying to save as many of her people as possible. I really like her. The Pathfinders really were/are an exceptional group. Exalted Krogan sounds like a nightmare. The imperfect version was enough to slaughter most squads. We do not want them perfecting that, though it may be inevitable. We now know where "Meridian" is, as well as how we'd get to it. Tann says, "No way, not happening." That's fine. He also said, "Stay away from Kadara," and "Good riddance (to the Krogan)." We'll be visiting "Meridian" soon. First, I'll wrap up the final batch of personal quests. I'm in the midst of the annoying Dr. Aden quest. That one is one of the few poorly conceived and written quests in the entire game, in my opinion. I only do it because I'm a completionist; it's fairly weighty; and I'll visit each of those worlds on personal quests either way. Sara is now level-69. I'm two levels from building my end-game gear. The Valkyrie Death Beam is insane. It's a lot of fun and very powerful. I think it will be my default AR moving forward. The Valkyrie was likely already the best all-rounder in the game. Boosting its RoF to 750 (those are N7 Hurricane levels), making it fully automatic and giving it a particle beam function pushes it into another level. There is no enemy it can't melt in seconds. I've killed the Progenitor and multiple Ascendants with seconds of sustained fire. I look forward to eventually taking it to an Architect. (The one at the very end doesn't count. It's like an Architect-lite.) A few silly things aside, this game really picks up steam as it moves into the back 25-30%. It ends so strongly that I always want to start a new PT immediately.

She always pushes for cooperation and intelligent compromise. yeah when reading the book all I could think was why did they not just let him stay asleep, hell once they realised how bad a leader he was someone should have hit him on the head and frozen him again. I was surprised Kesh was not an option to be the ambassador at the end. She certainly would have been a better candidate than Morda FFS. I doubt she would have taken the role but she of anyone other than The Moshae would have been the best candidate for the role.

I think your options change based upon completed content and choices made. Maybe some get her as a choice? I'd check the wiki, but... meh. As I was on my planet-hopping, weapons-testing tour, I spoke with Bradley post-game. He talked about how the Moshae was doing amazing work, smoothing wrinkles and bringing people together in a way no one else could've done. I thought, "Yep. That's why I picked her, duuuude." No one else makes a lick of sense in comparison.
