People should demand a better product, and not feed into Bioware's shameless PR that's downright misleading people.

People should demand a better product, and not feed into Bioware's shameless PR that's downright misleading people. I don't feel mislead by Bioware. In fact I feel more mislead by all the reviews and people claiming the game is trash because I am having a blast with it. The game is not perfect, but it is fun and that is exactly what a game should be.

I was quoting solomace's post but something went wrong... First of all, I'm not spending all my waking hours on a videogame, no matter how fun it is. Besides, there are many people here who bought the game: why, if they don't like it? They could play early access and decide to drop it. Many others who don't like the game have never played a single minute of it; so, what are they ranting about? I'm not blind; I see the flaws, but I don't think they will spoil my enjoyment while playing it.

Taste is personal. Like the endless "how can you like/not like the ending to ME3, it is a war crime/masterpiece!" discussions (I use the term loosely), no one is going to convince anyone to suddenly change their opinion of the game.
I was ambivalent about the trial but am getting much more into the actual game. It is different from the MET and some people may not like the new direction the game is going. I like it. I hope there are more games similar to this one, just with a lot more polish. I do believe Bioware was very ambitious and ran out of time/didn't prioritize some things. With a better UI and better animations/character models this game would have been amazing. As it is, I find it very enjoyable, but flawed.
MEA is the "ugly date with the good personality." Some people don't mind, some do. Some don't find it ugly, some hate the personality. I just wish people would give it a chance instead of being swayed by the controversy. Bioware should give everyone a free trial, though I didn't find the first 10 hours mind blowing, so not sure if it would bring in more paying customers or not.

Alas, we all live in a strange and unfair world where we all depend on each other. And because of... let's call them special people who will consume anything marked 'made by Bioware' with widely opened gee-whizzed eyes, other... not that special people recently have got yet another unfinished mess. And it's completely OK nowadays to release unfinished game riddled with bugs and glitches. I just want to get a quality product, but I never will because of that special people. And sometimes when some genious asks me what's up with all that bitching, I think of him very bad.

I'm very curious about this and I guess I'll be looking at guides to see what I'm missing and possible ways to get around it, but however minor or major these issues are really comes down to how frequently they occur and/or reasonably good ways to work around them in the game. My copy of ME1 still freezes/crashes, but just seldom enough that I don't want to pull my hair out. Frequently enough that it's preventing people from playing the game: 5 tweets from how many copies sold? I wouldn't call that "frequent"

Some things I think would have resulted in less urination: Nomad + Gun/Radio and or minus the need for slow climbing hills. Quick button squad powers. Weapon wheel. Save points. Proper Fryder. Consequences, including for side quests. Those are my only complaints and I'm having a great time. Frequently smiling to myself at the little things. If you havent tried it yet hop on the roof of the tempest.

I wish there were quarians in the game, at least BioWare wouldn't have issues with face animations. Also I had thought it could be interesting to someone, so I decided to share a fun fact

Well could that be that Zaeed and Kaumi were loyalty missions? Shadow broker no just not it was a great example of an expansion. So I see your point but I disagree. Finding and assembling your crew is a huge part of the main plot and the game would be lacking without it. That's kinda my point, recruiting people and dealing with their problem was the actually the main goal, which makes the nominal main goal of fighting collectors not that important anymore. I don't think what I pointed out are flaws, and I don't disagree that the game was compelling and engaging. I differ in opinion with people who think that the central plot was well written or that the narrative was well integrated That's fine I understand. I respect your opinion I just disagree.

I wouldn't call that "frequent" You surely aren't naive enough to think that those 5 tweets are the only 5 tweets I could pull, right? Or that those 5 people are the only 5 people with that issue? Surely, you aren't. I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt here, don't let me down.

I'm so tired of cruising along only to have a full stop because of a damn hill >.< yeah I noticed there are like literally no consequences outside of story differences. That is the most disappointing thing ever. There needs to be some variables with decisions. For what it is worth I've only crashed once and that was during the trial. I haven't had any significant crashes. All of that being said my rig is made for playing skyrim on the highest settings with loads of CC so it's a beast of a rig. It might be an issue more if your computer isn't up for the task? Things load faster then DAI for me.

I feel bad for everyone who can't see past venial problems. Facial animations aren't perfect; so what? The character creator is limited; so what? Please, you all perpetually unsatisfied people: enjoy the game! These little flaws are NOT game-blocking! I think too many people in this thread either don't like the game as much as they pretend to, or are really too unstable that they don't like anything critising the game they love and feel the need to lash out. At least those that are not happy with the game I can understand why they come to forums to explain why they're not happy even if it sounds like moaning, bitching, hate etc.

I liked the 10 hours trials just fine...but after having played more than half the game, I'm really struggling with it. Extremely uninspired, scattered, too much busywork and the number of things that are just unfun keep on piling up. There's a good thing here and there from time to time. But the 6 / 7 reviews were pretty fair imho.
The worst is they did make some effort on side quests somewhat...but it all feel so generic and boring you just want to be done with those.

There was a lot of cringe writing on the tutorial(?) alone... I mean who says "my face hurts?" And are these people "masters of their game?" I mean really... And yeah I didn't like some of the animations in the movies either. Gameplay seems pretty tight though and that's good.

So MEA is not your fav game ever? That's fine. But I just don't get where all the hate is coming from. The writing is on par with other Bioware games. Seriously anyone acting like ME 1,2,3 were Shakespear compared to this game are delusional. The game looks great. Yes the facial animations are not great but it's not so bad you can't injoy the game. People acting like this game is a mess just baffles me. Maybe not a master peace but def a good game. Agreed. Kids today day are so spoiled.

One thing I think I finally realized is that Andromeda feels a lot less cinematic than the games from the trilogy. I remember being excited to speak to everyone and everything back then, because I felt like no matter the interaction, there was some chance that you would get a cool cutscene out of it or be able to make a paragon/renegade decision or interrupt.
In Andromeda, a large portion of conversations have lost that feeling and have become largely exposition dumps. Dragon Age Inquisition suffered from this too. I guess it's a result of Bioware's embrace of the open world design philosophy, something I thoroughly wish they would abandon.
Still enjoying the game though.

Did you play the same franchise where Shepard was magically revived? Resources? We have dismissed that claim? We fight or we die? Pfft. Yep. Anything sci-fi, whether it's a video game, movie, or TV show, there has to be a certain suspension of disbelief that naturally kicks in. Even if the science didn't make much sense in the trilogy, there was a fluency and a coherence to the writing. There was also very gradual world-building that occurs through very well thought out dialogue. Here, neither of those exist in abundance.

I actually like the side quests a lot. Kadara, Aya and The Nexus feel really great to just roam around and have conversation and do some non combat quests. I think they made a few to many though, because my log is cramped.
