If you don't have any of the dlc, I would suggest getting the game of the year edition since it would be cheaper. I got it back in March for $39.99

I bought Dragon Age Inquisition on sale but haven't played it yet. Due to a list of games to play and mixed reviews of Inquisition I've read, it wouldn't surprise me if I only played once, rather than the several playthroughs I did of Origins, Mass Effect, and Mass Effect 2. For those who have played, particularly those who played multiple times, what should I do to maximize enjoyment of that one run? If you answered this for me on the other board, there's no need to repost since I'll read both. Thanks! Fight all the dragons. That's the most enjoyment I got out of DA:I. Find them all, fight them all.

If I would play only once, I would play as either one of these...
1) Female Elf Rift Mage.
2) Human Necromancer Mage.
3) Qunari Rogue Archer Tempest.
4) Dwarf Sword & Shield Champion.
I would not recommend playing as a Male Elf because they suffer from broken glued arms sydrome and the anorexia doesn't help them either. Bioware should have just given Male Elves the body design Solas has.

If it doesn't, well shame on the writers.

Different companions and advisors comment on different specialisations, there's probably some youtube videos if you want to know who says what before you pick.
