I have flirted with her all the occasions I could. I invited her up in my cabin after Collector Ship. Didn't romance anyone, although I have romanced Kaidan in ME1 (Playing with a female Shepard). Just before going to the Omega 4 Relay I got that Cutscene where the Kaidan portrait is shown in Shepard's Cabin.
Saved her in Collector Base, said that we were in base to rescue Normandy Crew (Paragon choice) Talked to her after and asked her if she was OK. I got the scene when she recollected the memories of being trapped, Thane style.
Then talked to other squadmates, even went to Omega and return to Normandy and didn't receive her message about going to my private cabin. I don't have any missions left to play.
The only thing that I didn't do was let her clean my fish tank because I didn't have any fish. Was it absolutely necessary to lock her romance? After that I talked to Kasumi and she said something like "You and Kelly huh?". I thought my romance option was ok.
Do you know what went wrong? Is it a bug? I've tried to reload my save that I have just after returning from Collector base, did all that again and still didn't receive her final message.

Even tried to load a previous save game, where there were a few planet assignments left. A save where I had all upgrades and loyalties. I did IFF, Legion Loyalty and Suicide Mission again (in casual to speed things up).
Talked to Kelly after Collection Base, got Thane Memory conversation. Went to a mission and return. Still no message from her. I guess I must have done something wrong. Or is a bug.
It's strange that when I finish talking to Illusive Man after Collection base, I end up in my private cabin. When I go down to CIC she says to me there's a message in my private terminal (before I use the "Are you OK" conversation option) but when I go to the terminal there's no message.

Kasumi is referring to your dinner with Kelly, not necessarily indicating that you're in a long-term romance with her since she'll still say it after that dinner even if you start romancing another crew member.
After talking with Kelly after the SM, did you try just going up to your cabin and looking at the terminal next to your normal one (i.e. the one you used to invite James etc to the cabin) just to see if it's active without getting an actual email? If not, I would have to say that you must have offended her by not letting her look after your fish. The game seems to always assume you have fish or will have fish by the end of the game. I usually don't have any fish before Kelly makes the offer to look after them, but I accept it anyway because I want her to look after my fish between NE2 and ME3 (so that I have the prejak paddle fish in ME3).

I've tried that and other thing: To look in the computer that is located in my private cabin to see if the e-mail appears there, or if the invite option is available without the e-mail from her, but neither things happened. It seems that not wanting her to look after my fish is a deal breaker with her romance. Maybe next time then. Thanks for your reply. |
