Quick question.
If you pick a female Ryder and change the first name to Sarah rather rather than Sara, will that cause npcs to no longer say your first name?

Thanks.
Gahh. Seroiusly though. They are practically the same pronunciation. If anything, you'd think Sarah should be the default name, I don't know how many Sara's are out there but I get the impression Sarah is the more widespread of the two.

Maybe they're going for the more 'unusual' versions of names to help create a distance from what the player associates with day to day life? Pure speculation. 'Alec' instead of 'Alex', 'Shepard' instead of 'Shepherd' or 'Sheppard', 'Sara' instead of 'Sarah'. Scott is the outlier.

I just wish they would have made an allowance for it. It would have fit well as Sarah is my default name for female PCs.

It makes sense....no amount of code could account for every name that gamers decide to run with....i'd imagine Daquisha, Shanekqua, Tanequa, Tay-Tay would be cause for a new program code and computer language altogether.....not to mention all kinds of foreign cultural based names.(Arab, Asian, German, etc...have you seen how LONG some first names can be in these cultures?)... ....I'll probably leave my Ryder's name as their default since naming them is really useless since nobody will pronounce your first name.
