Arelex and Suicidalbaby's guides were godsends. Especially their info on DA2's AI tactics mechanics, and setups. I'm still in touch with Arelex, he's doin alright! he's a millionaire now and has his own chopper. okay that part was a lie, but he's doin alright.

For those of you not familiar with custom avatars, on the old BSN, it was possible to upload your DA: Origins character as your avatar. However, you couldn't upload avatars from the net or hdd like TBF or most forums in existence. So what people did was create custom avatars (including .gif avatars) and replace the DA: Origins character creator image data. You had to do it a certain way, so not everyone did it. Meaning that it was possible to get custom avatars on a forum that didn't actually support it. BSN had so many holes and vulnerabilities. But it's stuff like that which made it endearing. Loved having a gif avi back on ye olde BSN too, used to rotate Hayley Williams ones, special snowflake feels. Not many could figure it out.

When I got around to doing the custom avatar thing on the old BSN it was Yahtzee at his desk for a while, then Jackie Estacado from the Darkness and finally Duncan MacLeod from Highlander: The Series. Good times.
But for people I won't miss, here's another: angol fear. That user's what would probably happen if txgoldrush and Seival had a kid. The "you don't get it" presumptuousness of the former, mixed with teh pseudo-enlightened (read: batshit) "art" of the latter.

I remember back then there was also few members who would do a custom avatar job for people who could not get the editor working or had problems with it. Weird as it is, bsn was alot more connected back then before the many questionable decision choices and sub par games started appearing along with questionable members like David.

Could never get the custom avatar function to work via the DA:O loophole, but it worked with DA2.

Dave of Canada and Volus Warlord.. RIP I'm in a Skype group with Dave, he pops in like once every 10 months but i can tell him to post here if you'd like. As for Volus, he's here (and on TSG for that matter). Albeit under a different name. Not sure if he wants "reveal" himself, or if that even matters to him. So that's all I'll say for now. :ninja:

It was such a pain whenever I needed to create a new avatar. I remember victoriakm did 3 of them for me at one time, speaking of names from back then. I swore I was so cool when I finally wore the first one.

Another guy I found lulzy was Wayning_Star (lol stars don't "wayne" [sic], moons do that). I doubt too many people will remember him, but he was a guy that went around trying to make high-level intellectual posts in ME forums, but they were all just incoherent nonsense. He probably had some issues upstairs.

So that's all I'll say for now. :ninja: Ah sheesh. Fine. My original account was Volus Warlord, but that got permabanned some time ago for posting this image: Though I did have a multitude of bans on my record before that happened. Largely for fighting with Plaintiff, bashing in general, being vulgar, etc. etc. I WROTE YOUR DAMN FORUM GUIDE YOU INGRATES. I had an alternate account for a bit, Volus Vagabond, that was largely an accident due to a CD-Key to Email attachment issue. I chose not to disclose my new name at first because A.) I did not want the mods to find out and ban my new account and B.) Two men can keep a secret, if one is quiet and the other is dead Well, I did tell a select group of people that were close to me, but other than that kept my mouth shut about it. I viewed as a chance to reinvent myself a bit. At least on the forums anyway, ya know, reach out to some of the people who wanted nothing to do with me before, etc. and I actually had some success with that. I may lose some of that success from spilling the beans here, but at this point fuck it. I was generally much more passive on BSN after the ban, and virtually left it entirely when off topic closed. I could not stand the fetish bs in the "story" *cough*masturbation fantasy*cough* threads, and after off topic was done that was all there was. Still, I wanted to keep in contact with some of the people I met on BSN. And old habits die hard. I was over 10k posts when I lost the account, and I was irritated-though frankly not surprised. I had been 'dipping my toe' for some time. And honestly, that post count is not something I am proud of at all. More like a testament to my own poor time management. But I use the people I met in the forum community to justify it. Yes, a lot of them were utter lunatics, but the beauty of the internet is that is usually pretty easy to disregard the undesirables (or just bludgeon them with verbal abuse) and only really interact with the ones you want. Or at least I think so. People I miss in a good way... Kallinara - She was a majority league attention whore, and perhaps a bit shaky. But she was always so happy just to have someone to listen to her. I wasn't really sure what the deal was. And she was gorgeous. Again, not really sure what the deal was or is. Flashflame - I loved her attitude. She could be so shameless sometimes. Nuff said. GrandAdmiralCheesecake - Kind of a loon, but one of the more lovable loons. RedArmyShogun: Unabashed nut, but surprisingly reasonable. Had no equal. C9 - Fun to disagree with politically. People that are sort of a 50/50: Ivandra Ceruden - Again, loved the shamelessness. But she could make it really hard to be her friend. REALLY hard. I do have other means to contact her, but I rarely do. Didn't seem to get along well with anyone.

Ah Kallinara. That's one person whose face I do not miss. She got mad at me because I once said that the only thing Thanksgiving was good for was for the food. Damn turkey is bad luck for me. Every time I mention it, it makes the lunatics come after me.
Oh and then she proceeded to block me even though I had never spoken to her before that interaction. She even tried to get Billy to take her side. But that was never going to happen lol
I think I still have the screenies from that. It was funny.

Sorry to spill the beans mate, but I don't think anybody would hold a grudge against you tbh. Also, @darthcheesecake I was Dark Helmet from earlier this year to my final permaban from telling Bioware to eat a bag of dicks. Grand Admiral Cheesecake was permabanned because certain easily triggered Dalish Fanatics were nice enough to report everything I did shitposting or not for an extended period. Because not liking fantasy vagabonds makes you Mecha Hitler.
