Fuck, I've missed the train... and Beetle was in Europe too.. I'm in Europe most of the time, I'm an Austrian! So there is still hope for group happiness, right? Not true, you spend a good amount of time in Miami flexing at the beach with me.

Here is a true ''Behind the monitor'' snapshot. Not true, you spend a good amount of time in Miami flexing at the beach with me. The only flexing you'll ever see from me is when I swing my axe at you.

Lots of folks here from the cold lands of Center/Eastern Europe, and then there's me on the west end of Western Europe (AKA Portugal)... Been to Portugal once, stayed at the Algarve - it was very....rocky there. Lots of reddish brown rocks everywhere, very little grass, less than in Iceland. Also the climate was not nearly as hot as I expected, the proximity to the ocean probably helps to cool parts of the country down a little bit. Here in Austria our summers are oftentimes as hot as in Portugal, but in winter the temperatures go far below the deepest temps in Portgual, up to -25 degrees (personal record -34 Celsius). The climate in Portugal is not very extreme. Heck, I've had immigrated hardened Nigerians complain about the summer heat here.

Normally, we have temperatures in the range of high 20s to low 30s Celsius, but that month had low to mid 40s.

That sounds actually pretty comfortable, I remember two years ago we had 8 weeks of 35-38 Celsius here, with no break, no rain and no wind whatsoever. Lots of my garden plants died (even trees) because I could not keep up with watering, and sleeping was tough. Temperatures usually rise far above 30 Celsius for many weeks here, and as I mentioned with very little wind. Its much more comfortable in the south-western regions of my country because that is where the high mountains are.

Usually, that means spring or autumn, with light grey skies for the latter. No surprise that the only time I enjoyed going to the beach was on a cloudy day. No hint of sun or blue. Then I guess I'm probably lucky if the hottest days I've ever experienced were last August. If anyone were to ask me, those days were too damn hot. Pretty much all the summers here are like that (more like low 30s to mid 40s), with the higher temperatures in August; last year we experienced 42-46 celsius three weeks in a row, with no rain whatsoever, which is strange. Plus, the heat is disgustingly humid.

We had -25C in the winter, and +30C in the summer here up north. Autumn and spring can be quite stinging when its suddenly "super hot", it was just -10! The changing of the temperatures feel awful (for me) every year.

Welcome to Australia 😋! Where my parents live, its not uncommon to have most of summer from mid 30 to low 40 (Celsius). Plus they are inland, so no ocean breeze for them. Inland Australia is the worst. In the summer it's high 30s to mid 40s and in winter you get temperatures below 0. Oh and there's bushfire season.

How are your firemen holding out Those guys have my respect and admiration. They came out here to Canada to helpout with the fires we were having and were greatly appreciated by the people in the areas they were helping in. They're hard workers, very impressive...and their calenders are nice also. I follow your firefighters on face book, so I've seen their pictures.
