Hey old timers, what is this talk about babies? Get off my lawn! I pay half the mortgage, so it's my lawn too! You are getting senile.

Regarding age, i remember what made it truly dawn on me that I was really an adult was seeing that girls my age were now in porn. True story. I still haven't realized I'm an adult. Whenever someone hits on me at a bar or something my first reaction is to go, "WTF bro can't you see I am a CHILD?? /sips beer" I remember when I was first called "sir"(or "senor" around these parts) by strangers I was caught off guard by it.

First time I was 16 in a Shoppers Drug Mart in Langley, B.C. and it completely floored me. Now I'm just glad I don't get ID'd at the liquor store anymore.

Probably depends on where you are. I've always been "ma'am" - it's not really an age thing here.

Calling a woman maam can get you into trouble.(I've seen this firsthand) A lot of middle-aged women hate it.

I don't believe I've ever called a woman "ma'am", just feels odd to do to me, and this coming from someone that likes to refer the opposite sex as "dames".

That's just about the only way I see guys getting away with "maam's" around here. There's a Canadian naval base nearby. It's viewed in a significantly different light when coming from a uniform. Although even that gets tricky (this is second hand now) where some women still prefer to be called "Sir" and get irate when they're "Yes maam'd!"

A man in uniform can get away with it easier because women know it's a part of their training. Some women may act worse with 'sir' and sometimes your best bet would be to go with 'Miss'. Ma'am can make a woman feel old, where as Miss is a little more age friendly.

Turning 30 in a couple weeks which is exciting and not stressful! Not stressful at all! Nope! I'm 100% stress free, I tell ya! ... was that convincing?

So when I hit 30, I think I am going to cry a little bit in my nod to friends, or be like Ross who turned 31 or something for 3 years straight.

19, at uni.
You think you've finally got freedom, and yet my life is now just coursework, missed deadlines, and realising you've fallen asleep in the lecture.
Btw, the missed deadlines aren't my fault, they're Bioware's fault. Damn Mass Effect taking up all of my time...

26. There are now more of my 20s behind than ahead. I'm starting to feel like I could be aging. Not ready to throw in the towel, though. I could still secretly be the personification of the fountain of youth. I won't know until I'm 30. And maybe not even then.
