I think Lohse will be the most fun, but I definitely think I'm going to make my own character for the first run.

Noticed the original DOS (Enhanced) was 70% off in the Xbox store, so finally picked up a copy. Any tips?

When I was playing I followed a guide on the steam community. It had all the skills listed, which ones sucked, which didn't, which companion was useful for what, and what not. Good stuff. I have yet to finish the first game, at some point.

Btw, in regards to the fire-earth combo, I think that more enemies are resistant to fire and poison than to air-water. You definitely don't want to use poison on undead at least Oh, another tip: The game has no level scaling!

Which makes fighting fiery undead an exercise in futility if you have only fire and earth magic... Well, you'll want someone with Water magic in any case, since that's there the healing spells are But if you're making a water mage, you may want to take air spells too (just watch out you're not standing in a puddle when throwing lightning around). And if you make a fire mage, might as well dip into earth magic as well...

Or just stick to buffing for that fight and let the other party members do the punching

Ghent was facing a massive power outage in release day, but they've made it. I wonder about the damage to the game, hopefully it will be negligible. Game looks extremely fun from videos, but it has a serious problem like the first in that it is really boring to watch.

So, how many races can you pick in this one? looks like there's a fuckton. In the first one it was just humans if memory serves. Also, do those backstories for your character actually matter through the campaign? or is it merely "cosmetic" ?

What kind of a game is it? What does it remind? Isometric RPG, judging by the first game it is a SP focused light-hearted high fantasy, really colorful as oppose to the gray-brown of DA:O and DA:2, and the green-purple in Pillars of Eternity. Combat is turn based, extremely tactical and expansive. It relies on environmental and surface interactions alot.

What kind of a game is it? What does it remind? It's reminiscent of Baldur's Gate. Here are some facts: - You can play alone or with 1-3 friends. - In the first game, when you were to make a decision, if your friend disagreed it was settled through "rock-paper-scissors". You could increase your chances of winning through different specs. - The view is isometric, but you can zoom down quite a bit. - It's a very tactical turn-based game, so you have to look up what combinations work well together (poison and fire created explosions). - The tone in the first game was very light and humorous, but I've heard it's darker in this game. - There are many rpg-elements; you can craft your own gear, randomly kill anyone you want (although you will have to face the consequences), play as different races (even play them as undead), affect the game through dialogue... All in all, I loved the first game - it is my favorite series after any Bioware game, and I recommend everyone who likes rpg-games or tactical games to try it.

Sounds alright. Can combat be simplified/avoid crafting (like in Tyranny with Story Mode), do companions have any stories/dialogues (a gorgeous male companion is a bonus) and is the game completely playable w/o any friends?

Sounds alright. Can combat be simplified/avoid crafting (like in Tyranny with Story Mode), do companions have any stories/dialogues (a gorgeous male companion is a bonus) and is the game completely playable w/o any friends? There are four difficulty levels: Explorer, Classic, Tactician, and Honor mode. On lower levels, you get a HP and accuracy bonus. On Explorer mode, the enemies don't get any crowd control spells (like charm, mute, etc) save for bosses. On Tactician mode, enemies get a health bonus and extra abilities. Honor mode is essentially Iron Man mode, with only one save slot and if the party wipes, that slot is GONE. In the original Original Sin, you create two characters (which can be male or female) and control them. There are four NPC companions you can recruit, though only two at a time, tops (not romanceable) divinityoriginalsin.wiki.fextralife.com/CompanionsYes, it's completely playable solo. in DOS2, the difficulty levels look to be much the same. You only create one character, which can be male or female and several races to choose from (human, elf, dwarf, lizard, or an undead version of of one of them). You can make an original character or one with a preset backstory (there are six of those) The others are recruitable as companions (3 max). Possible male companions: Ifan
The Red Prince
Fane:
Edit: Almost forgot Beast!
It can be played solo or with up to three other players, each controlling a character.
