There are just a few games, that broke my heart through excellent storytelling. I'm curious to hear from you because I wouldn't mind delving back into a good story. Here are the games that got me good: 1. Dragon Age: Origins. On my very first play-through, I chose to be an angry, bitter nobleman who felt burned by Tim Curry's character. I sacrificed myself because Morrigan's solution seemed so diabolical. Listening to Queen Anora's eulogy made me appreciate everything that was written and executed in this game. 2. Walking Dead Season 1 Telltale Games. Oh Lee. Oh Clem. 3. Mass Effect 3 The scene, which was missing her face, was Tali's happy ending. I teared up when I heard the mask seals break. I didn't care at the moment if I saw her face. Just knowing that the mask was off was like unshackling someone. 4. Last of Us Sometimes, logic is trumped by paternal care.

I cried many times during ME3. The fade in the Inquisition. The ending to Transistor left me in tears. Undertale, surprisingly. Didn't expect anything from this game, it was a big surprise for me.

Andromeda. During the Father's first interface. It was such a beautiful moment...
The game made me care more for the father in thirty minutes than DA2 made me care for Hawke's mother in entire two acts.

I dunno if a game has ever made me cry... that's not to say I'm not a crier! Turn on a sad movie and watch the waterworks flow! Games just usually don't hit me that hard. I remember I teared up a bit during the ending of: ... though it's been like 15 years and I can't remember exactly why. *edit* OH! I forgot about Lost Odyssey! Some of the short stories in that game made me weep like a baby! I had to quit reading them it was getting so bad.

Mordin dying in ME3 is a case where one is allowed to cry manly tears.
Though in general most games don't really hit me very hard in the tears department.

Drakengard & Drakengard 2 - depending on which ending you're on- the Ciam/Angelus, Nowe/Legna relationships could be tragic. I agree with Galactic Runner...Damn you Square Enix!

I have cried at least once in every DA game and ME's trilogy. Moments that hit me especially hard and had me crying big sobby tears (as opposed to happy ones) were: Leandra's death, Shianni's abduction in the CE origin, Mordin's death, Shepard's death (or near death - Destroy ftw), DAO's Ultimate Sacrifice ending, Alistair doing the US, Carver/Bethany dying in the Deep Roads, leaving Ashley/Kaidan on Virmire, Garrus's last words if he's shot during the suicide mission, Blackwall's confession, Wrex screaming about stillborn babies, Loghain's "daughters never grow up" speech to Anora, Leske's betrayal of the DC, everything about the casteless up to and including "My ancestors were nothing", Howe's assault on castle Cousland, Loghain effectively killing the love of his life's son, talking to the not-ghosts at the Gauntlet, Tali's suicide if you choose the geth, Sera's sad pitiful "Inky..? Nevermind..." if you break up with her, Dorian's confrontation with his father (and everything associated with that plotline), Legion's death, Thane's death, Samara trying to kill herself, Bull breaking inside if he loses the Chargers, Zevran's reaction to an US Warden, Solas almost telling a romanced Inquisitor the truth (and then leaving her), Hawke and Shepard promising their loved ones they won't die and then dying... I have a lot of feelings.

* The end of the Walking Dead Season 1 (Telltale) was heartbreaking, there were tears!
* Mordin sacrificing himself in ME3 still also gets me, it's the "Had to be me, someone else might have gotten it wrong" that chokes me every time!
* A few sections of Dorian's personal quest in Inquisition get me very emotional, especially the scene when he talks to his dad.

I've never shed a tear when playing games but Shepards last dream sequence in ME3 reflecting on his losses and sacrifices paired with the music made me really sad.

DA2 was the first game that brought me to tears, IIRC. Leandra's death definitely hit young me pretty hard. Tali's final goodbye in ME3 Extended Cut also made me cry... and her death on Rannoch was incredibly hard to watch, even if I only experienced it via YouTube videos lol. Seeing how your companions and friends react to your death in Dragon Age Origins was heart-wrenching and made me feel ALL THE FEELS (even if my Warden didn't die in my canon World State ) Trespasser's epilogue had me get VERY emotional (the music didn't help lol). I had grown very attached to Inquisition's characters, and watching them go their own way, as well as seeing what they decided to do with their lives, made me feel ALL THE FEELS.

Only two games so far and neither was an RPG. Silent Hill 2's ending The Walking Dead Duck's death
Clem having to mercy kill Lee ME3 had a couple moments that came close, but not quite. Mordin's death and Thane's death in the hospital. Thane's death scene was probably my favorite emotional moment in a Bioware game. Kudos to whomever wrote that prayer.

There are quite a few moments that have brought me to shed so very manly tears. If I had to choose one it would have to be from The Witcher 3. When I was denied my 3some with Triss and Yenifer. My poor Geralt had to sleep alone that night. To go from about bang Triss and Yenifer, to using your left hand is a very traumatizing experience.

Mordin's death in ME 3 was as about as close as possible to having me cry in a video game.
For the complete opposite I felt nothing when Legion sacrificed himself for peace between the Quarians and Geth. That sub-plot in the game was a big letdown imo.
