Ah the Queens of Ferelden, who are essentially guilt-tripping Alistair into putting a child through the same thing he went through (bastard heir to the throne + absent father) and gambling the whole world in doing so for their own happiness ,very moral people indeed.... Another moral keeper! I'm sure, that no one heard this before! I don't care about what others people decide to do with their own world-states. I do care however if they come in public boards to proclaim themselves as defenders of moral values only when it is convenient for them to do so. Based on the arguments I have presented, it is evident that it is morally wrong that you are asking someone to conceive a child specifically to be the subject of Morrigan's blood magic and to be interferred with on the level of its essence.Of course, fathering it yourself is no better, but asking another to do it means that he has to share the moral burden of what he might have done to his own child. The problem I have with the DR-players is when they proclaim that something is morally wrong(like yourself who loudly proclaimed that the policies of keeping mages in circles is morally wrong)yet they themselves did something that was morally wrong when it benefited themselves. So I think it is evident that these players cannot provide a good sound foundation for any morality, therefore any argument about moral values that come from them is null and void.

So I think it is evident that these players cannot provide a good sound foundation for any morality, therefore any argument about moral values that come from them is null and void. I never said, that this is morally right. But very interesting experiment. This isn't same. And I don't judge anyone, who did it. I did it. And I also spared Architect. Anders and Justice wasn't happy. I also loudly proclaim, that Anders was right. According to many, this is also not morally right. And I understand. (This is still a game, with old goods, dark rituals and magic. And still entertaining to moralize on this issues.) (By the way, what happened with Urthemiel's soul? Not much is known about it. Kirean still healthy, and Morrigan is happy. The experience was risky, and now still we don't know what will happen. So: still interesting. The new-born Urthemriel is really "evil"? Or? – And why this theme in Alistair's romance topic?)

That's funny for me, as my Cousland is my canon, and my Cousland ended up marrying Alistair, and than both survived the events of DA:O. It's a shame that Cousland had to deal with the death of Alistair... but I never had, in any of my games...

Don't know if this is the right place to ask this but; why doesn't Alistair become The Warden-Commander of Ferelden if HoF makes the US and he isn't king?

Drunk in Kirkwall? Or dead? He can remain with the wardens you know Ofc. And good question. Perhaps, he doesn't want to lead. Never liked so much. But in Inquisition, already he's the Warden Commander, if not Stroud or Loghain... or?

I mean if there is another Fereldan Warden to take up the position, but is it better to allow an unkown Orleisian Warden having that much power in Ferelden when a hero of the blight can take the helm

Yes, that's weird. Probably only because they think that the Warden Commander should be the player's character. And because in Ferelden not so many Wardens alive, thanks to Loghain. So: an Orlesian warden was an obvious solution. They were waiting for the aid from Orlais. Not this was the reason, that Loghain not really trusted the Wardens?

Damn it, Alistair. https://www.reddit.com/r/dragonage/comments/5tcjxf/damnit_alistair_dao_spoilers/ *sigh* I'm all achingly sad for her. I intend never to let Alistair die, it's one of the few evil things I would never do in all my many PTs. I find it interesting how well many people took Riordan's news because I was a freaking MESS when he told me. I felt frozen and dazed and reeling. It was me. Or it was Alistair. (even my first PT I knew it wouldn't be Riordan.) I'd been so nerve wracked about the Landsmeet (had spoiled myself on that particular, made sure he stayed Warden with my city elf) and thought we'd finally overcome it all. Now we just had to kill some Dragon and cue the romantic music as we rode way on horseback. But no. We were doomed as a couple. Our love, due to come to an end prematurely. And I couldn't even get Alistair to make love to me the night before (apparently a camp action only.) So I'm wandering around Eamon's estate, still reeling, and randomly see Morrigan out of the corner of my eye. And dully, I'm like, "What does she want?" She wanted to save me, her sister, and the great love my elf had with Alistair. And I was so relieved, even if I did ask all the questions about what she would do with said baby. The next heart pounding moment was actually getting Alistair to agree. I worried that I would somehow not say the right thing and he would be totally against it. And even when I'm holding my breath in fear for our last chance, he makes me laugh with his humor about not believing me that I would ask such a thing. Alistair and I got to ride off into our sunset. Thank you, Morrigan. Best video game sister ever.

I don't see much difference between a man who had a baby with a woman he's not with currently as I date him. sharing Alistair physically for one night so that I can have him for 6000+ nights is hardly a price. Also, I'm polyamorous. And regardless of where his penis is, so long as he maintains a relationship with me, I don't much care. I don't even have to share him emotionally! Not an ounce of jealousy in me.

I just found that: "Not really in the story, just a bit of fan art for this banter: 'You’re asking me if I have a relationship with my “brother”, aren’t you? I don’t think he cared much about my existence. I didn’t mean anything to him. Anyway, to answer your original question, no, we never spoke. Well, maybe once. Maric and Cailan had come to Redcliffe to visit the arl. I was very young then. We were introduced. I believe I said, “Greetings, your Highness.” He said, “Ooh! Swords!” and ran off to the armory. So, yes, that was the extent of our relationship. We drifted apart after that. Very sad.'
And no, don’t expect Draganimation to have these bgs XD" source

I had no problems with either Anora or Morrigan as "for the good of the Realm" but I still do not understand why it was only one outcome in his quest, and not the nice one, that allowed the PC to stay with him if he was to amount to anything but the PC's underling. I still find that logic messed up. It really limits his character growth. I think it should be entirely possible for him to be a King and be in love with the warden-commander PC.
