It seems Sony have also halted the sale of Helldivers 2 via Steam for many countries. I doubt they'll get any more customers, for this particular game, after this. The developer of the game got the wrong end of the stick when they chose Sony to be the publisher. I think the uproar would affect the decision of any dev as to whether they should seek Sony as the publisher. I watched a You Tuber who was showing posts of the Dev's telling people to ask for refunds or give bad reviews on Steam saying that the PSN thing was the reason as that is the only thing the Sony look at. They don't look at the Dev's discord and other channels so they were distancing themselves from any criticism and pointing it all back at Sony. Yeah the news is all over youtube. Sony seem t olike pissin gfanbases off it seems. I know tha tafte this debacle I wouldn' t go near a PSN account I'll stic kwit hMicrosoft thank you very much Sony at leas tthei rservers don' tget hacked as the ycare abou their security. Forbidden West I heard for example had it's DRM cracked within 30 minutes of the game going live on Steam. Don' t get me wrong as Forbidden West is a great game and I enjoyed my time playing it but that's som episs poor security. But it makes me glad it's just a single player game. That an dth eamount of times PSN has been hacked a rewhy I would neve rrecommend trusting Sony. I don' t think it matters wih the single player stuff like Horizon or God of War but for the live service stuff they need to ge a handle on things and fast if they want the PC community to trust them in future. This is not the way to ge tpeopl eto trus tyou i fanything it'll have the opposite affect. Strange thing is the PS fanboys onc eagain are comin gto God AlmightySony's defenc esaying things lik ePC gamers don' tdeserve ou rgames andthings lik ethat. Well this is definitely going to make Playstation's stock plummet. I do feel sorry for th edevs and Steam as both are innocen tbystandards tha thav ebeen caugh tin the middle of this through no fasul tof their own. As this was a decision made by Sony alone and not the devs or Valve. Right now I'd rather subscribe t oa yea rof Xbox Gamepass than sign up fo ra PSN account.

I am glad the Steam stuff is cutting through. I logged into the EA App today and it told me I had removed games and DLC which I hadn't. They of course had removed them as they no longer supported them!!!! It seems Sony have also halted the sale of Helldivers 2 via Steam for many countries. I doubt they'll get any more customers, for this particular game, after this. The developer of the game got the wrong end of the stick when they chose Sony to be the publisher. Steam hav epulled it from the stoer fron talready as far as I know I wil add though I heard Son yhave reversed their decision fo rnow

Persona 3 Reload. Summoned Satan. \o/ Also hailed Helel, beckoned Beelzebub, asked for Alice, lured in Lucifer, messaged Metranon ect. ect. Think this is the first Persona/SMT/Pokemon game where I actually fill out the Compendium/Pokedex. So yay for that. Ended up replaying the whole game from a fresh save file, because the little jingle and stat increases give me life. Used a guide for the correct answers to keep my "Foot in mouth" at bay but did the planning on my own. Even had a fancy little notebook to mark availability for each day and stuff like that. It was fun. First run I had him working at Chagall a lot, this time he grinded in Tartarus to fund his arcade addiction, so ended up maxing the stats way earlier. That left me with lots of free nights to hang out at the dorm, tend the garden and watch television. Also delayed Takana/Mutatsu way longer this time, so even more free evenings to chill. Found that I could watch Takana's show in the Lounge, getting even more Takana on screen because the tv is turned to the screen there. Heard I liked Takana so I could watch Takana while I watched Takana. Wonder if you can watch him downstairs in 4. Seasons don't fear the Reaper and neither do I now. Did the first time he showed up and chased me through three floors before giving up. Second time I did after I realized blasting him with all my Theogies was as effective as throwing water at geese. Third time I was prepared, did buffing and clever stuff. That time he got scared and died. Fourth time I got cocky and was about to get my butt kicked when I remembered I had Armageddon and was just like "Why not?". So he got disintegrated and I had my fifth encounter just to do it again. So kinda peeved that the achivo still hasn't popped up, after having killed him three times, both legit and cheesy. Same with fusing Messiah. I've done it twice already. Granted my minds been screaming "He's not the messiah! He's just a very naugthy boy!" So like. Maybe Steam agrees. Other achivo that eludes me is the romance one. Resisted the temptation to go for Chihiro in case I needed an extra day in December. I did not so Christmas was spent fine dining with the Gourmet King. Got friendzoned by Fuuka, Yukari and Aigis. Which is fine. My ego is not bruised. But like really it isn't, I love that friendship is an option. Got proposed by Mitsuri and had two saves, one where in I said yes in hopes of getting the achivo (I did not. Did save after though so like. Why?) and the canon one in which I said no and got promptly executed via Takoyaki debt. Did get the achivo for maxing all the social links, so delighted about that. Currently on the next last day, debating if I should try and fight Elizabeth or not. Or well if I should try at succeeding at it or not. I've done three tries and not made it past the first phase in any of them. So... On the bright side I figure I'm pretty set for the final boss.

Made a video of my Enshrouded settlement in the Kindlewastes: I finished the build over a month ago already. Waiting for new content now. In the meantime still replaying BG3 with an evil character. Witcher 3 is on hold until I finish.

Persona 3 Reload. Ended Elizabeth. Well not really. Took like 10 tries, dropping the game to Peaceful, reading a few guides and a bunch of goofs. So figure she just gave up and let me win. The victory was about as exciting as a sack of rocks. BUT I DID IT. *cough* Had a save where I could tell Aigis "it was love" and that got me the achivo. Again, game is reading my mind since I was kinda sorta thinking about it but decided not. Didn't carry on with the save because it was before a massive grinding sesh and I'm not doing that again. Had another save before the massive grinding sesh where Messiah was fused, so loaded that up and went hand hunting. Sun Major arcana card is such a lovely card btw, since it let's you fuse 5 levels over your level, so only had to grind out like 3 more levels instead of 8. So fused a Messiah who was not just a naughty boy but an achievement getter as well. Also had to do some fusing to make space in the roster (too lazy to back out and dismiss the personas and come back) and one of the skills fused into Almighty Amp. And like. Thanks game. Would've loved this a few hours ago but okay. Also managed to fuse Helel so I could cast Armageddon so the Reaper got a quick visit and was melted into an achivo. Figure it was just a quirk of playing the game in offline mode, but it's weird since I did get other achievements before, between and after I did this stuff so, weird. So did the final battle. Jin put up the most of a fight of the three. Takaya was second but lacking two moves in a row kinda hampered him. Nyx did take the longest but paled in the memory of the nightmare that was his fight in portable. Goshdarn was his face amazing though. The whole dead face puppet thing never really hit in portable but this time. Ooof. My baby how could they.
Loved the cutscene in this one where the protag stands up and just walks away. Gonna turn off the wind machine. Found the floating a bit cooler in Portable, but the scene is always amazing. Usually end up crying when Shinji pipes up but it didn't happen this time. Was sniffling over the friendship stuff though.
Felt like I remembered the tiredness being pushed earlier in Portable, but am probably wrong about that. Loved that the protag commented on the areas you could visit and did remember which stores I frequented and which I didn't. It was neat.
Final cutscenes were just mwah. The only "complaint" I could have is that the protag is lying on Aigis lap when their scene starts but my mind always figured they laid down when she said it was time to rest. Felt it was more of a hanging on vibe than this ended up being. Still sad as heck and everything was freaking beautiful. All in all the game was really fun. Voice acting was amazing, game looked beautiful, theorgies were a joy to watch both visually and damage wise, adding friendship routes for the girls was very much appreciated and giving the boys some love too. Felt really smooth to play, the dungeons had some funky designs, Lotus Juice just dishing out bangers and just amazing. Was honestly going to pass on the game since it didn't have Kotone and probably would if Rascoth hadn't been praising it so much when it came out. So thank you for that Now just need to decide if I do the Aigis pack when it comes out. Never played the Answer since it wasn't on portable so I only have a faint idea of how it plays out, so time will tell I guess.

SWTORMy trooper went through the Gauntlet, unfortunately one companion was injured. Yeah, stakes! Sorta, he will survive. Now wondering if I should give this a little break before starting chapter 3 and getting involved into more war. The Gauntlet had some enemies that felt very tanky, I don't remember that on other characters during the class story I did over the last year. ESOI'm kinda having fun and not fun at the same time. Which is why I haven't nuked the game yet. I still need to find "a class" to play. Main annoyance is that the gameplay cause me hand pain since there is too much skills spamming and Low Intensity isn't really a thing in here. Also, maybe finally I will go back to Horizon FW or change genre entirely. I have way too many open world RPGs. Amusingly, Starfield new update (currently in beta) might make me go back to it...

SABLE - Done!It was a heartwarming/bittersweet ending though they left enough on the table for a sequel if they ever wanted to return to it. Got all the masks, all the achievements. I'm not usually an achievement hunter, but if you're aiming for a completionist PT, you should get them all. Before wrapping it up, I tried a few hoverbike builds... Picked up a dragonfly outfit towards end with flapping wings... And the last few vistas in the final explorable region. Also took one last look through "The Whale" wreckage and checked in on the Chum Queen. Then it was finally time to pick the mask (occupation) you were going to stick with. I picked the "Atomic Mask", essentially the spaceship mask, which made sense as Sable was the first person to uncover a piece of the history as to how they got to the planet and where some of their early customs came from.

Are you going to play HZD FW or have you already? Yeah, it's definitely on the list. I was looking for something light to play after BG3 (hence Sable) before diving into another time sink. So right now I'm debating whether to go with HZD or Hellblade 2 first (which is coming up pretty quick). How was HZD FW...?

Your impression of HFW may depend on how thoroughly your open world palette has been cleansed. I have rocked from BG3, to CP2077, to HFW and...I struggled. Which is a shame, because I really enjoyed HZD and from what I can tell from the 18 hours I've put in to it, nearly everything about the second game is better. I just needed an open world break, I think.

The gameplay is fun, but at the same time there are elements to the combat I never got super-comfortable with. But... 2 could have improved on it.

So right now I'm debating whether to go with HZD or Hellblade 2 first (which is coming up pretty quick). How was HZD FW...? My first PT I didn't think it was as good as the first one due to changes to some of the game mechanics like Climbing and a big change to combat in the addition of a lot of stuff I never used. There were also some story things I found a bit jarring in terms of story. I played NG+ and enjoyed the game a lot more I think as I was just familiar with the controls and obviously knew what to do and where to go which negated DragonKingReborn issue especially as I mainly just played the main story. It is beautiful and most of the side quests are very good but some of them are a bit long, NPC's are pretty great. Overall I enjoyed it a lot except for a couple of pieces of combat in the DLC which I found went too long and was just a bit of a struggle for a scrub like me. Overall definitely an 8 maybe an 8.5. First PT was 140+ hours doing pretty much everything including DLC, NG+ was only about 70 hours.

Aliens Dark Descent
So the argument between Deputy Administrator Maeko Hayes and Sgt Harper has valid points on both sides. However, I think Hayes is right; repairing the comms has an edge over hunting down the source (who/where/why) of the infestation. As it is, they have to work together with what they have on the USS Otago.
There are only 11 marines left. Most of them died during the bombardment or killed in the crash. A squad comprise of four marines and they each come with their character failures and quirks. One is described as a coward. Another, undiscipline. Another, a conspirator.
The game play is challenging. I spent more time having the squad move slowly and hiding every time a xenomorph glides past. Why? Because every time a xenomorph is killed, another comes to investigate. Kill that one and more come and increase hive activities and hostility.
One thing I do not like are the stupid commands barked by the squad leader now and then. It's unrealistic because the key point is to be as quiet as possible to not attract xenomorph attention. The occasional remarks from the marines are also as loud and very annoying. I wish I could tell them; wtf, people, shut up already. If you have to talk, speak softly. I guess the devs completely forgot about this and told the VAs for the marines to behave as though they're in a normal situation.

Honestly except for MET and DAO and DA2 I cannot remember when I didn't play an open world RPG and most multiple times, it doesn't worry me I like the checklist nature of it and the sense of discovery.

The Legend of Heroes Trails of Cold Steel 2 So picked it up again since I'd been itching to do so while playing Persona 3, but figured I'd better finish that one first.
Anyway return to the game and get absolutely curbstomped. And like, I didn't remember the game being that hard? But then again I might have gotten into the swing of buffing and stuff back then.
Beat my head against the encounter for a while until looking up some tips and learning that magic was the way to go, not swords. Don't know if I "Got gud" or what since there were two encounters in a row where I struggled and the rest has been smooth-ish sailing. Am using a guide because the series murders me with FOMO if I don't, so figure that helps. Not so much detailed step by step for the fighting but generally handy tips and what to expect.
Looked up Rufus Albarea voice actor since he gave me massive Morrowind vibes. Didn't find any of that in his credit list but did see Kamoshida from Persona 5, Legion from Mass Effect, Dylas from Rune Factory 4 and Albert Whesker from Resident Evil. So makes sense I'm digging his voice. Am kinda tempted to look up the others but figure it's a bit too much risky business for spoilers and stuff since I'm actually still pretty blind about the story and google loves suggesting the plot twists when googling characters.
Am currently at the Intermission chapter, so making progress. Now it's just will it be a few days until I pick it up or a few months.

Meh, ISP outage is screwing over my online gaming.
SWTOR was acting funky so I only did my weekly stuff and some heroics and then moved to ESO. But in ESO, I kept getting kicked me out (along many others since people are complaining about it). I didn't bother trying GW2 since the other two were crap.
Then I went and started a new farm in Stardew Valley, but I wasn't in the mood for that. Then I went into Horizon FW and played a little bit before realizing I didn't have any interest in playing a game where my character talks to me all the time.
I wanted to play ESO tonight. I had just remade the character I made last night before going to bed because I didn't like the original face. I couldn't even leave the tutorial fight area because of the connection lost issues. Speaking of last night, I decided to play in 1st person instead of third and it might suite me better even if the first person is a bit funky at times.
Hopefully, the ISP thing isn't recurrent. I had that once, I was getting kicked out of my online game at 9pm every damn night about 10 years ago. Super annoying.
Anyway, since I can't play online I'm going to redownload Starfield I guess. I'm probably going back to that in a week or two after the update leave beta and mods are updated.

NHL 22
So far today only got one game in, mind you I got a lot more games in over the last couple of days and well...one of those things.
Biggest notes though from all of this is that A. the second line has caught fire for me recently in addition to all the other depth scoring I've been having. Also some injuries and B. also mostly from the second line not only has caught fire but in a specific way of using Hall's speed and Zacha's size to really create a lot of nice opprotunities. One or the other of them would get the puck, then fire it in, usually Zacha, would fire it in, then Hall would bury the rebound in front of the net. Really happened two or three times over the last few games. So Zacha is up around 45 goals, Hall is up around 41 goals and 75, 76 points. Bergeron has about 75 points and 34 goals. Pastrnak is up to 96 points and 60 goals and we're only at like game 56. Krecji has like 21 goals as it looks like he's gotten hot since signing that contract for me. Coyle has like 30 goals and 500 career points now and Zacha also got his 200th goal. Gonna be curious may got through and see how these Bruins have done IRL versus how they are doing in my franchise in terms of stats to see where they are in things.
So onto the Kings and some of these stats do apply but end up winning 7-2...7s have been wild for awhile now. On a lark I did check to see what the latest NHL game has done to its franchise mode and the only thing that stuck out to me in improvements I would like to see is EA mentioned that they played with the AIs shot logic. So they would shoot more, score more, but also shooting more would keep the save percentage respectable. Because all of this makes sense since its one of the biggest bugaboos that Ulmark and Swayman only have given up a few goals a game but don't have that good save percentage because the computer does not shoot a lot AND scoring has actually gone way up even in the last couple of years I think, especially since EA was probably a couple of years behind the curve so I would be really happy to hear and see more shots in general. Of coruse I also tend to get pissed when the comptuer players knife through my zone and I'm trying to check them like mad to keep them out and they just bounce off and score...and I am only playing on Pro to so that's a consideration!
ANYWAYS. The Kings. Story of the day back handed specials, but in a way for a lot of the time it was from a lot farther out and just floaters then usual because the Kings D was doing a good job putting people in front of the net so I had to skate around them but still were able to score. Pastrnak got his 60th off a backhand but he was one of the few who got it like point blank...like three times to but the first two times some back checking forced him to shoot late and he missed the net. Third time put it in. Both Seguin and Krecji kept their shots from a distance though. First Seguin skated around a Kings defender and put it in. Then Krecji also didn't really have to get around D but they were in the way so he backhanded it from WAY out and it just sort of floated in. Krecji had 2 goals. Coyle got his 30th in this game and then things have happened.
Ghost Recon Breakpoint
Man this game is too frickin addictive. Wife's computer is in the shop, one of the reasons I was playing so much hockey lately...but I couldn't quite stay away from Ghost Recon. ANd part of the reason was I wanted to test out my build that I had started to develop for our mutual playthrough together. And to my slight surprise I'd already started to do said build in it. Granted I am not sure the stocks are the same but the rest of the equipment is.
Also weird what you forget after not playing a game for awhile and just how different the co op and SP experiences can be with the squad. Like in Wildlands even if you are playing Co Op you still hear your team chat about stuff and make their jokes, its unrealistic and weird, but interesting. In Breakpoint A. that does not happen but you don't realize it because you are chatting with the people you are playing with more. So its actually nice having a full squad in the field, my big dream is to actually be able to play this regularly with 3 other people so we can decide on team roles more. Plus the AI squad does use abilities forgot about that. And forgot about same of my physical looks and what not. SOmehow I did get the Crye G3 premium content, they do occasionally give out free Ghost coins, so was able to take advantage and I do have different visual pallets which didn't set up with the wife because she wasn't that into doing it. So was able to rock out my jungle garb since spent a lot of time in the jungle doing missions.
So as far as what I did yesterday again main objective testing out the build which I didn't even think of being a thing for awhile but then I realized it was an interesting possibility. And in so doing man I kind of realized running two weapons is kind of OP and one weapon is actually pretty a practical way of doing things and realistic. And secondly had to decide exactly how I was going to go about doing this since I like doing missions so ended up actually replaying a lot of Red Patriot Missions. Apparently you can't restart individual missions in Conquest Mode. But just was using the 416 with the short barrel in the MAWl-DA almost exlusively. Which fun the short barrel takes 10 percent off range and the MAWL-DA adds ten percent so it balances out to the base range. Only time I dragged the M82 out to play was after realizing one of the missions I played took me to one of my favorite sniper's play grounds in the Jace Skell Dam. And was pushing shots out around 500 meters and even the Barret was experiencing bullet drop, though not much even with a suppressor on. Still got into a little trouble. So in the end basically other then that one encounter was using the 416 kind of as a 'sniper rifle'. The results were, as I referenced above with the one weapon thing, really interesting. Granted I did just realize I have the plus 60 range perk on my character to, but even then for this character the results were...well interesting lol. The bad thing about this is I had to go down first person sights for much of it which I prefer third person whenever I can but I ended up making long shots. Like 200 meters I was pushing and then 250 at one time. Though it continues to be interesting the bullet drop actually seems to sometimes happen via different factors which would be amazing like if so. Because at times I had to start compensating for bullet drop with the 416 at the 200 meters but then I nailed a guy without compensating at 250 meters. Its just highly realistic but whoa. The neat thing about this though is this, again, kind of strikes me as realistic because I am pretty sure an AR, IRL does have a max range of about 400 meters. But most games, even Breakpoint, just can't render that far out so they have to kind of crunch things. So long story short just any ranges do strike me as being really neat and realistic and eye opening because I remember the Shooter franchise of the PS2 era, the Conflict series, I remember the maps and how that game rendered only about 100 meters was about the max for sniping. So this has been really fun that I am shooting people at two football fields away with a weapon that has no business reaching out that far based on my youth. Hard to wrap the mind around. Of course this got me into a couple of neat firefights with the thing like one on top of a building and then another just plugging away and then retreating when I took fire.
All this brings me today and again had a really neat fire fight. Was trying to talk to the wife so I was distracted but went into a building to clear it, didn't see anyone, so I worked my way out again but a Sentinel grunt was in there and he didn't see me later...until I started walking out. So all the bad guys heard the gun fire this activated the whole base. My team went loud and also just neat to hear the deep booms of Vasily and Fury's DMRs that I have them set up with. But it was just neat seeing all the fire coming in at me and me plugging away with the 416 in single shot, third person over the shoulder. Just pew pew pew, dying Sentinel, taking fire, leaned out to put fire on the auto turret which was neat as hell. I am so relectant sometimes to give this game a tier 1 rating but man does it scratch the itch sometimes.
Oh and a lot of the other time when I wasn't getting into fire fights I was doing a lot of really cool ghost shit. Like going into a base, just interogating the target I needed to interogate, and then leaving again with no one really the wiser. Or one guy took me awhile to find but I killed just the target I needed to eventually and then left without clearing the base. I love this stuff.

Aliens Dark Descent So the argument between Deputy Administrator Maeko Hayes and Sgt Harper has valid points on both sides. Man, I need to get back to that game. I got probably halfway or more, but then hit a few bugs that affected mission progress and haven't played since.
I had a real nice main squad and an almost developed backup team. Toward each mission's end I alerted the Hive and had a nicely defended kill zone to go through all stages of Alert. Farmed Exp this way. The Sergeants really carried me through. Could lay tons of mines around the place.

Thanks DKR - definitely something to consider. I enjoyed HZD as well, but more for the world and storyline than the protag whom I'm so-so on. The gameplay is fun, but at the same time there are elements to the combat I never got super-comfortable with. But... 2 could have improved on it. In HZD there were maybe a couple of combat approaches most players ended up using. In HFW there are now loads more weapons and abilities and most of them can be equally effective. You can pick one that feels comfortable and not worry that it's subpar. But the possibilities can feel overwhelming and some require practice to master.

Aliens Dark Descent
Almost lost a squad but I didn't because I kept the sentry guns and mines for the big fights which triggered once the main objective is achieved. Still, it was a near squash. It's a good thing too there are plenty of ammo crates around.
The story is getting hot. It's predictable because, you know, Aliens and there are so many novels and comics on them and what unscrupulous, mad, ambitious humans with $$ signs in their eyes and lunatic ideas in their brains would do to get what they want.
Despite the predictability, it's still enjoyable. I like the two main characters; Maeko Hayes and Harper. The writers and the VAs did very well.
