Vampire Masquerade
I.find a key to some other room on the 2nd floor. Keeping my back to the wall, I startle when the video game clock goes off behind "me".
I open one room, nothing. I unlock the second. It looks burnt down. After I look around, I'm prompted to break the floor. I do so.
I take a deep breath before hopping down. "Aaaaaaaaaaah"
Oh. It's just the bar that I saw through some boards of on the first floor. But who lit the candle in the corner. O.o and the only interact able is...an oven? A dumbwaiter? Breathes.
Okay. Guess I'm climbing into a dumbwaiter. Aaaaaaaaaaah... Tell the dumbwaiter to open. Music plays <.<
There is a diary. I grab it. Ghost whispers.
"Help me" I look around. "He's coming" The entire room goes crazy and I run my character at the doors screaming "let me out let me out let me out" The doors won't open.
I help myself back into the dumb waiter @_@ the sounds still haven't stopped. Will have to go out again soon, just as soon as I collect myself

Vampire Masquerade I run out of the dumb waiter and magically a door decides to open. I run through, escaping the calamity. Climb into some vents. "Be careful" the ghost whispers Wah! I go to the pause menu. Husband comments: the ghost is helping. Me: no! No she's not! Sighs. I must continue

So. Today the last phase of battle against Black Mage unlocked and the main baddy is... gone. Tbh I don't know how to feel about it. So much build up to... this. I have flashbacks from Sargeras' defeat in WoW, but this time it's more... personal? When it comes to WoW I didn't play long enough for it to feel like sudden ending of long journey. Maple Story? I remember times when it had little lore/story, with Black Mage being a story I could only hope to learn about. And even though I had pretty long break, it always held special place in my gaming heart, so seeing him gone. Yeah, I don't know how to react Even if character specific lines I got were spot on, I wish there was more of them. Come on! Demon used to be Black Mage's commander! Same goes for Luminous character, these two should get like double personal content in final talk with Black Mage/White Mage. Eh. Was last fight short? Yes. Was it cool? Kinda. Am I satisfied? Not really. Am I salty because despite event going on, now we're out of dailies for currency? Absolutely. Well, at least I got to fly on flying fishy again.

VM
I go forward. Elevator shaft.
"Keep looking"
Rumbling, lights flashing. I am SO NOT LOOKING as I climb the.ladder.
But it suddenly stops and I have to look.
O.o I would have been smashed by a falling elevator if I'd stayed where I was. I hug a ledge to get out of the shaft.
Now where am I

VM Wander a bit, lost. And then figure out how to climb some wreckage. Weird purple fire that doesn't seem to cause any pain. Pretty. I open a door and proceed to nearly die as I run a Guantlets of steam pipes bursting as I run down the hall. I slam through a door, and it closes behind me. Have to take one of my blood bags @_@ I walk forward through burned wreckage only to find the whole scene change. The ghost has affected my mind and I'm seeing the past. I guess. I walk across what just.moments ago was a floorless dark room. I pick up a pendant. Experience awarded. Quest updated. Can I leave now? And I do. HAPPILY

in Valkyie Chronicles, on the switch, I did a bit of the story. Bought it last night, downloaded it, and I got through my first battle so far. Its been pretty interesting, though very cheesy. Still, cheese is good sometimes.

Hell in Hibernia and Jazz Age Junkies. Yes please.
So started up Unity. Beginning was interesting. They've gone for the wax figure aesthetic I see, which is kinda creepy but also fairly adaptable. Did the official first mission and the unofficial one. Was a bit confused in the official one like, where were they at the end of Rogue? But then the other played and I figured it out.
Then turned off the game and let Nvidia figure out the settings. Start the game again and do the next mission, but I feel pretty sick when playing and my eyes hurt. Google it and yep it's the motion blur, find how to turn it off and life is good again.
The map is kind of information overload at the moment. So much stuff to be done and no idea how to pace it. Did the collect some heads quest and man did the guillotine bit make me angry. Eventually I managed to murder all the guards who could get to me, since they have laser eyes and spot me the moment I stop blending. Not sure if that was how it's supposed to go, but ah well. Also followed a lady about and killed some people for her. Then she sent me off to steal some metal. Nice lady.
Confused how multiple side quests work. Like can I accept more than one quest or do I need to finish the ones I started? Because it feels like I should be able to have a couple open, but don't seem to be able to do so. Oh well.
dazk So far I'm loving Arno and hating the combat. Or well I hate the stealth and then can't pace the combat when EVERYONE decides I should die. But it might change if I ever git gud. And at the moment I'm playing baby Arno and he's basically like French Ezio. Granted he might evolve into a sourpuss, but for now he's quite nice.

And at the moment I'm playing baby Arno and he's basically like French Ezio. Granted he might evolve into a sourpuss, but for now he's quite nice. I really like both Unity and Arno. My advice is to stick to the main story until you’ve unlocked the Chateau on Isle Saint Louis. That means nothing now, but will make sense soon enough. It becomes your hub and a source of income. Unlock it and do the quests attached to it. Then, you can pursue both the main quests and side stuff at your leisure. You will be incredibly fragile in combat until you get your Assassin gear. Expect to die often if you pick fights before then. The CoOp missions can be played solo. I recommend playing them once you’ve learned the gameplay. They give precious skill points, money and some cool gear. Access them via the DNA sequence in the menu, or via in-game Assassins. They’re easily solo’d, so no worries about difficulty. Gear need not be purchased often. Once you pick a playstyle to boost (I favor Stealth), try stick to it. You don't need to constantly buy new gear. You are better off investing in the Chateau and thereby increasing your regular income. Then, buy some “Improved” Tier outfit pieces as needed. From there, you won’t need new gear before buying Legendary tier stuff. It’s helpful to make sure you include ranged combat in your early skill investments. That single point unlocks pistols and rifles. If you enjoy heavy melee, you can cover both your primary ranged and melee weapon by using a rifle. I really like swords, too, but I usually run with a rifle. I hope you enjoy the game. It never deserved the insane flack it caught. I played it from day 3 after release (had to finish Rogue first) and never suffered the issues people memed. I assume it was the PC version that was rough, but it’s long since patched. I wish they’d built upon its superior gameplay and visuals, but they chose to regress to the earlier designs and aesthetics seemingly in an effort to say, “Look, it’s not Unity!” Rogue ended with Shay killing Charles Dorian in the palace, recoverying the box that led to so much trouble in Rogue. Unity begins with Arno waiting for his dad, presently to be stabbed by Shay. I’m not sure if you noticed, but little Arno and Elise are present in Rogue. You walk right past them as you infiltrate the palace. You hear them having the same conversation that you later play from Arno’s POV.

The combat is all about parrying, the enemies are still polite in Unity I think and they take turns don't they at attacking you? Stealth (Line of Sight in particular) is a bit of a bitch in Unity. Not sure if they fixed it post me finishing the game but I hated getting spotted by some guard in a building 20 metres away through a window whilst I was in a room hiding behind a couch. If nothing else enjoy the scenery of Paris and say hi to Napoleon for me.

You can unbalance and murder everyone in short order. My biggest gripe about Unity, other than the excessive online tie-ins that were later removed, is the constant aggression of the “patriots”. I typically keep my kill count somewhat low in AC games, killing only as needed. Those idiots are on every corner, though, looking for a fight. I sometimes tired of hearing their nonsense.

Diablo 3 Finally got the last cultist page and I'm down to 5 unique monsters left to kill. Necromancer is up to level 70 so I switched back to my fem wizard for another run through the labyrinth.
Apparently this Darkening of Tristram event is something Blizzard has been doing for a few years now. I get that people who have done it before might be bored with it now but for me, it's pretty neat to see a mini version of the entire D1 game in the D3 engine. They even change the music and text font to make it feel more like original Diablo.

Confused about anything? - I know I said I started a new PT of NWN2, but I changed my mind agaaain and went back to my "canon" character, Cady Farlong. Chaotic Neutral tiefling, having trouble deciding whether to make her a base warlock or sorcerer though.

Nines is still hot. Jack is funny. Patty was intentionally made annoying. I'm trying to sit on the fence between the Anarchs and La Croix and will probably be shoved off at some point. I'm surprised La Croix wanted to give me another Mission.
Went to the hospital, thought it was going to be another haunted situation. Ended up being some weird Flesh eater. Thought about what Nines had said about not killing dinner and didn't think the Reporter was that big a deal. I didn't send him down there.

ATLAS I'm more than ready to go back to AC Odyssey this week as the next update will drop. Had another go at building another schooner at the island with plentiful resources. It's just missing one vitamin for food intake. I was there alone most of the time, restructuring the base. Making it bigger and installing new crafting tables. The devs made changes to stone building so making a stone door now requires alloy. Go figure. There were no alloys to be had so it had to be a wooden door. I also built a pier since captain asked if I could build one. I completed it and logged out yesterday. Logged in today to find the front wooden door was destroyed, all storage boxes and contents gone. The griefers also removed all tools, weapons and the bit of armour but left some of the resources like stone and flint behind; haha, so what are you going to do with these with no tools? (their msg) I told the rest over Discord what happened. Captain said he'll sail by and dropped off the alloy so a stone gate can be built but I've have enough of the place. That's twice a huge chunk of resource was taken. I was feeling the pinch since I gathered the lot yesterday. I ported over to new base and made a suggestion; destroy the base and bring back the deconstructed materials. However I couldn't sail a sloop by myself so I asked A if he wanted to go. He had enough of sailing, which took many hours yesterday so he wanted a change of pace today. Ok. Captain and a few others were sailing somewhere, I didn't ask where. In any case, there's no one to go with me so I popped back there alone, grabbed a few fistfuls of stuff and punched a tree to get wood. Gathered what I needed to make a wooden door and installed it. I'm sure the griefers will check on the base, they'll see the door and think everything's stocked up again. They'll bust in and find nothing to take. Spent a few hours clearing the new base of wolves since I wasn't in the mood for anything else. Before I logged out, a few companies were launching attacks against the griefers' base on that island. Huzzah. Hoped they're flattened. P.S. I'm pretty much out of this game. The annoyance with the griefers is getting to me. Gameplay is grinding repetitive but what can you expect out of a pvp survival game? Suffering setbacks do not bring good feelings and it's leaking over whenever I talk. I know the others can hear it in my voice. It's pretty fun last week when the group sail out to lope several rounds at enemy base but since then, the group has been falling back, skipping about. This is the first survival pvp I play. It's everything I think it is. There's some fun but the frustration outweigh the fun factor. The decisions of the devs also do not make for better gameplay when they don't have regional servers. They cannot afford it when they have so many servers supporting the entire map (game world) of the game. As it is, if I'm inclined to go back to this game, it will be PvE. Not PvP.

Vampire Masquerade So I figure out the sewers and get to the Haunted Hotel. And holy hell, they did a good job. I'm a little freaked out. XD I got pelted with vases, lights exploded. Finally went up the stair, fell through.two dark hallways. One is empty so I try to the other one only for a female figure to suddenly run across I yell , "oh gawd" and back up to take a breather. Pull out my bat and as I near the place O sqw he figure, the cross hairs of where two hallways meet, I swing it blindlu just in case. Nothing. Sigh. I go left, to investigate where she came FROM first rather than following Run.into.a door.with an ominous red light over it. I cringe and go forward. I've locked past my skill level. Alright. Chae after ghost then. Unlock.a.door, look around, lights exploded and I'm locked in. Oh gawd. Is something gonna pop out? @_@ But no. My vampiric stength with the baseball bat knocks out a wall. Ah yeah the haunted hotel this also brings back memories for me from playing this game i played this game when i was 15 or 16 years old i think ( give or take ). The only two things thus far that i remembered from playing Vampire the masquerade was that i had a "pet" and i think her name was Heather ? The reason that i remember her was that i never had a human "pet" before in any other game so that was quite unique i guess. And i also remember a bar where you could dance but now that i read your stories i remember more and more. And your stories are so detailed that i do not even have to play the game again ... so thank you for that and keep up the good work. And i could not agree more MarilynRobert with her story telling.

Assassins Creed Odyssey ... I finished up the game even more there is not much for me to do anymore i was hoping for a NG+ with the latest update but that will take another i don't know a month maybe more. And the side quests that i can still do are becoming repetitive and boring. I cleared out almost everything in this game at least once ... but on the positive side i can recommend this game to anyone it's definitely worth it. I don't know if i said something about fire damage before and that it can kill me in a few seconds. But that's not the fastest way that i died in this game. The fastest way was a nano second and that was clearly not by fire but by a snake. I was in a tomb and it was quite dark and jumped down into another room and i was dead i don't think that i even touched the floor it was that fast. Oh and one last thing i said that i killed around the 348 mercenaries a couple of days ago and that i was kind of bragging about it with this emoji . Well that's just nothing compared to some other players some of them are going way over the 1000 mercenaries so maybe that's still something for me to do then.

Kassandra is great, and I like Alexios even better. Michael and Melissanthi are so .... adorable. I’m not sure I’ve ever described a dude that way, but it’s how I was inclined to describe Melissanthi, so fair is fair. They seem to have become good friends during their working together. Both seem like really cool people. I recently just started playing Assasin's creed Odyssey and I've got to say I'm really loving Alexios as well. I've had a lot of people tell me his voice actor is terrible, so I picked him to see for myself and was pleasantly surprised. As for what I did in a game today? I climbed on top of Zeus's penis and it's not everyday I can type out a sentence like that. Me every time I see people get excited for the Classicals (Greco-Romans), when I have my great Magian roots. And an update:

Well that's just nothing compared to some other players some of them are going way over the 1000 mercenaries so maybe that's still something for me to do then. Yeah I am at the same point really, I was also hoping for NG+. The last two days I have been hunting mercenaries to the point that by the end of my play yesterday there were no mercenary symbols on the map anywhere and I have moved into the new top tier but not number one yet. I am now only finding mercenaries if I just happen to run into them, going to have to rack up a big bounty apparently to attract some. Talking of dying quickly, I was fighting a mercenary yesterday and he was hurling fire bombs at me which seems to cause rapid damage. Anyway I got distracted as at least 6 Roosters took exception to either the fire bombs going off or they just decided they didn't like me and attacked me. Within 10 seconds I was dead, killed by Roosters, what an ignominious way to die.
