Off topic but....what's with the "select smiley" drop down menu in the quick reply box that only lists a bunch of codes so I have no idea what's what?
Anyway....was going to run the labyrinth again in Diablo 3 last night, but Blizzard was doing maintenance during prime time.
Instead, I ended up finishing What Remains of Edith Finch. I'm not quite sure I understand all the love the game is getting, but it's definitely different and worth a playthrough if you get it while it's available at no cost. I don't think I'd pay the $20 regular price though since there just isn't that much to do and some of the stories it tells are downright horrifying. It also leaves open wtf is really up with the Finches ie are they cursed, special, or just really, really unlucky?

If its one of the pre made species (and if you aren't using significant mods) then that empire is called the Commonwealth of Man. I've played as them and against them many a time during my various Stellaris campaigns. Yep, thats them. I don't think the title matters very much though. Btw, do you know how to free enslaved pops? It’s a combination of setting policies in the policies tab as well as individual species rights in species tab.

Not sure if the maintenance yesterday was a factor, but both uniques I hadn't killed yet spawned on my first run today. So, my Crusader made it level 70 and he killed both uniques for the final event achievement. One less thing for my OCD to nag me about. Then he rewarded himself by crafting some set armor (2 different sets, actually) since good legendaries seem to not be a thing for him yet.
Now, what class shall I run in the new season that starts on Friday? I'm really partial to wizards. I know one thing for sure: I won't play on Hardcore mode!

Well, I just finished Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, very good game, 8.5/10 Which make my last comment/print pretty funny because Professor Alba was actually the main villain of the game

ATLAS I'll make it short. Momentous events : I took "selfie" time and built my own house. I was confused by Burke's comments in Allied chat on being buzzed by aeroplanes, zipelines and dragons. I knew something was wrong later when I was chatting to the captain along the shoreline on the plan for a town when I saw a horse floating out of the waves along the shore and flying over the masts of the ships in the bay. "Wait, did you see that flying horse?" I asked captain, totally bemused. "Yep, I see it," he said. The next thing I knew, the server went down abruptly. I decided to check if any clips were posted in Burke's twitch page regards the aeroplanes and dragons, whatever. I found these. WhalesBurke and his crew were having a battle against this particular group when six whales spawned out of the blue. It's not possible to have that many whales in one spot. The conclusion is, the rival group were hackers. They spawned those whales in the hope of sinking Burke and the other ships except that it backfired on them. AeroplaneI believe the aeroplane was an attempt to damage Burke's ship. It should have been a cannonball. Instead, a plane was spawned and launched long range. MortarsThe mortar in the game can only fire one shot at a time, not multi-shot so clearly, this is another piece of evidence certain groups are hacking. It is not clear why the server went down. Either it's taken down by the devs or the hackers crashed the server. Whatever it is, Burke and his crew have discussed leaving the official server. If the devs fail to address the problem, then it's a permanent move. As it is, I also do not see the point of continuing when hackers are plainly cheating. They can spawn whales, etc. The next thing you know, everything you have built disappears around you.

Maple Story. Despite the fact they took away event dailies, I was able to grind out enough currency to reach final Alliance rank. Now to get some more currency and wait for Sunday's discount to grab some items from event shop before it disappears. I got to lvl210 with my Demon, so time for scenery change! New area unlocked, as well as a bit of story quests and new dailies. It's soooo different from previous area. Previous one had a mysterious, ghostly vibe. This? I feel like someone gave me serious mushrooms and I ended up in Oz (not to mistake with Tower of Oz, which is also area in Maple Story). I'm also leveling progressing with Zero's leveling. Hit 145 recently. As far as I know you can easily level to 180 with just Zero's special story quests, so good for me. I also need to prepare for next season in Diablo III. Time to clean my mailbox from previous season... I flippin hate organising non-seasonal stash post season. I'm still debating whether I want to go with Necro or try Witch Doctor. But I'm leaning toward Necro, since there's higher chance I'll be able to finish seasonal objectives quicker with class I know, and I want to get at least one portrait frame and wings.

More Assassin's Creed Unity. Ended up wandering around the lower map and thinning out map icons for half of it. Did one murder mystery and then one Paris Story which just made me nope out and go for the main quest.
First quest in Sequence 12 was okay. Started out real annoying but then managed to use the disguise skill to make it bearable. Second quest was fine as well. But hahaha I can't even exist without conflict so. Final quest was interesting. First bit was fun messing with the guards AI. So many instances of literally going around a corner confusing them to no end. So had a good chuckle there. The end was a bit annoying until I realized how to do death from a above. Because trying to hug him from ground level was not happening. Kinda amazed he fell for it three times, since I always took the same route. Heh. Was mentally prepared for the ending so it wasn't that hard hitting. It was okay though. Really liked the cutscenes and especially finally getting to chat in the little last moments bit.
Started Dead Kings and no no no no no. Not suffering through that. Did give it four tries and noped out of each and everyone. Ended up deciding to watch it on Youtube and am around 1/3 into it and really agreeing with my decision so far. So far the story is okay. But outside of that I really enjoyed the main game and had fun for the most part playing it. So good times.

So the way Civ handles its strategic resources, at least for Civ 5, is a bit...interesting. So you find units of a resource and as you deploy units (or buildings) that use those resources those resources get used up. But the interesting bit is that Destroyers and Carriers, both fairly modern units, don't need Oil to operate. But fighters, bombers, tanks, and even battleships do...
Anyways so in my game I have been screaming past and through the industrial era, did help that I had a great scientist which let me get a new tech. I invested it on the radio. So I have the option to have a pretty modern military. And France, who are weirdly enough my allies, wanted me to declare war on Siam. I told them I needed ten turns since Siam is another continent away so I sent most of my navy, which at the time was just Frigates, off for a good old fashioned blockade. Now Siam is in the Renisance and when my carriers get there I will be sending air power after them...and Tanks. It did drain all my oil though, but I do have four carriers up and running now...also drained all my gold.

ATLAS So as it turned out. Black Butterfly HackersEverything was rolled back 5 hours. I found my house standing. But Burke doesn't trust that it's just one single group so he has effectively moved to a RP server. Me. I don't believe it's only that group either. There's no way the information on how to hack into the game isn't shared. Nope. Anyway, I decided to potter around for a bit, finish the house and try to decide whether I want out of this game. While I was musing that, I headed towards the mountain base and saw a level 20 wolf on the slope. I backed away quickly behind a crew member's house as it headed in my direction. I intended to use it as cover as I circled and try to kill it with the bow. To my surprise when I rounded the corner, I found the gates to the barn open. I saw an animal stuck beneath the ramp and thought it's the wolf but it turned out to be a pet bear. The wolf was in the barn and someone was inside. I quickly dashed in and shot at the wolf before I ran out of arrows; I forgot to restock on arrows after I killed another wolf and a giant snake earlier. The crew member killed the wolf and then turned on me. Saying I always seemed to be a spot of trouble (attract trouble), was I trying to get his horse killed? He doesn't trust me. He's suspicious. Wow. Really buddy? You blew up at me over a horse that's made of pixels / data. Are you serious? Captain immediately stomped down on the guy's angry bluster. I made only one sentence; are you seriously thinking I deliberately lured the wolf over to you? After that I just kept silent, let captain calmed the guy down and went on my way. I logged off after a while. I ignored the guy's apology as I wasn't very receptive and not inclined to talk. Whatever bud. The next time I see something chasing you, I'm going the other way lest I'm accused of something ridiculous.

So here's something. Muh childhood is back!
Ran through the first little bit of Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War...probably will restart it when I get to my 'proper' playthrough in a couple of weeks but it was nice. Got goose bumps on my arms as the music kicked in and the opening intro cinematic was playing. Sadly though I do have to go back to the beginning and get all the good aircraft again.
...
And within the first five minutes I promptly crashed into the SR-71 I was chasing.

Decided to try the Assassin`s Creed games. Didn`t know the first game had no subtitles , i`m not a native english speaker so it was a bit hard to keep up without it and i gave up. I read about the story and characters in that game in the wiki and moved on to the second one. Still getting the hang of it, the gameplay controls are still a bit confusing for me but i`m enjoying the game so far. I just finished the first memory sequence.

I gave up today's dailes on Demon to finish Zero's storyline. Hit level 180 with main story and some help from other quests. I accumulated quite a lot of Zero-related currency, which you can trade for schematics for special armor. I think I'll farm the amount I'm missing and create the set, since it looks really nice. I need both smithing and accessory crafting, fortunately I took smithing on Zero and Demon is already quite advanced accessory crafter. Also game decided to get my hopes up just to crush them. While fighting one of the bosses I got box with has possibility of dropping two items - pet or equipment for said pet. Of course I had to get equipment for pet I don't have

So ended up watching the whole DLC on youtube. Did give it one more go, but noped out fairly quickly and was very glad once I saw the later missions. The story was okay though and I did like the visual aspect of the final weapon. Pretty sure I wouldn't have enjoyed using it as much. The reason for the nopes was mostly the atmosphere since I had a very long fall and the winter was mostly the same depressing drab colors and I just can't take any more gray, especially in my escapism. Maybe after a good long summer. And the second reason was the amount of stealth required. Which I'm bad at under normal circumstances, worse if I'm feeling sad and absolutely impossible once Arno decides to behave like a drunken rhino. But like, if you liked the stealth in the game I would recommend the dlc.
So had been worried about going to a game set in London and was absolutely delighted to see some colors. So yeah, started up Assassin's Creed Syndicate and so far I'm quite enjoying it.
Protags are hilarious to me, to the point that my mouth was aching from stifling in giggles. I love snarky duos and find them both delightful, so trying to split time equally between them. Am a bigger fan of sharper visuals, so do prefer how this game looks. Henry is ridiculously handsome and big bad has the most amazing mustache. Really enjoying most of the side characters this time around. So that's nice.
Story so far is barely gone off, but I do like Jacobs idea of taking over the city with a gang of his own. Stopped in Lambeth after clearing out maybe half the map since it was getting late. Only complaint so far is that Cletus is annoying. He kicked Evie's bum three times before deciding to bugger off. At least I wont have to listen to his blackbird pie song for now. Or what ever he was going on about. Otherwise, some pretty good times.

Picked up my BG2 game again last night.
Headed to the slums, only to be confronted by a "mysterious stranger offering a very expensive deal but who wouldn't tell me who he works for," then headed to the Copper Coronet to drum up some work to pay for said deal.
Was attacked by rabble almost as soon as I entered the joint and took them out. I may be lawful good, but I'm also no nonsense. Stop harassing me, or find yourself on the business end of my sword, dumbass.
Then ran into Anomen, who I decided to not reject right away but added in to the party. I forgot what a ponce that guy is.
Next run-in was Nalia who had plenty of time to tell me all about how she often helps the poor (all the while insulting them) but couldn't spare two words to say actually who has invaded her lands. Told her to meet us there.
Then got hired by some lord named Firkskraag? to deal with some beasties on his land. Yeah, for 10K gold, I'll kill pretty much whatever you want me to. But now right now.
Then met a weird one named Hexxat (a new EE character) and somehow agreeing to help her later meant she ended up in the party now. Whatev.....so, off we all headed to the Graveyard District.
Newsflash: normal weapons don't work so good vs undead, which is what about half the party is stuck with for now. I also don't have a cleric or a mage yet (haven't met Aerie back at the carnival) so going to the graveyard probably wasn't the wisest course of action. On the way to the tomb Hexxat wanted to investigate, we discovered a guy buried alive, got him out, then threatened the gravekeeper with prison before he told us what was up with that. Will look for the red clothing guy later. Finally found the right tomb, which turned out to be a prison for some vampire guy. Got in, killed the vamp, stole his cloak (which only vampires can wear??? wtf good does that do me?! ) and Hexxat ended up dead (still in my party but I'm sure I don't have the coin to res her so I might just boot her).
Then I sold a bunch of loot, rested, then accidentally reloaded my game from before leaving the tomb. Doh! So, called it a night.
Going to play seasonal Diablo today. I think I'll stick with wizard but might use a different class to open the set rewards. Not sure yet but off I go.....

AC Syndicate, for lack of any games to play and I've to play this one yet. So, other than the UPS screaming at me for long moments I find the combat underwhelming. It's just clicking the same mouse button all the time. For a moment I thought throw meant the protag can grab and fling / push the mob during melee but nothing happened so I presumed the fling meant the knives. Also thought the civilians would go running screaming the moment they see the protag killing somebody but it's all; cool, man, whatever. Aw that's bad, you must be bad.

melbella If I understand correctly, Hexxat died fighting the Vampire dude? There is a bit more left of her quest in the crypt, but of course she needs to be alive to trigger it. And pretty sure Anomen was a cleric last I checked Top spot, top pic: Henry. Looking dashing as always. And probably would make a nice BG portrait as well.

Maple Story. Back to Demon. I finished Chu-Chu storyline, so back to dailies and getting to lvl220 for another portion of the story. I think I'll start finishing quests I outleveled, mostly for trait rewards some of them give, as well as unlocking bosses. There's also monster collection... I'm like 70/827, so yeah I'm also playing mobile version of Maple Story for Reward Points I can get there for PC version. Mobile version is in the moment I clearly remember, since I was still playing when Evan came out. Loooooong way to go to catch up to PC version. It seems big update is coming and I'm super excited. As I'm reading news about it I'm patting myself on a back for grinding that Alliance rank to max, since it seems we're getting post-event gifts and the higher your rank, the more you get. Knowing me I won't get any extra items for them, but even basic rewards are great. Not to mention new events incoming. I'm glad I leveled my Zero a little, that way I'll have another character to collect rewards on. Aaaand... level cap increase is coming. 275. I'm quietly praying for exp reward increase or/and exp requirements decrease in 200-250 bracket now that 250 won't be max level. Don't get me wrong, it could be worse, but it would be nice to have it easier in this bracket once level cap increases.
