Kingmaker. Omg, the pathways of some quests is monumentally bad and stupid. I picked up the third segment of Linzi's quest. All it involves is a question to be asked once the party got back to the capital A question! But I decided to open up the zone that was blocked off initially so I explored everything possible. I forgot about the question but in the previous PT, I returned to the capital immediately after the event. The quest automatically continues once the protag enters the throne room. It didn't happen this time so it slipped my mind until much later. When I checked the log, the companion quest has disappeared. Are you f******** kidding me? It's just a question that leads to a decision. omg. There's no question of limited time. There're plenty of days to go! Another dumb quest is one that needed another zone to open. In the previous PT, I found the answer and thought ok, I'll explore further before going back to tell the NPC. Along the way, I happened on the continuation of this quest and picked up the second item. When I returned to the capital, I could not hand in the first item. The game refused to recognise it! I could only hand in the second item, the first segment was a failure. The devs want the player to go back and forth in this already very very lengthy game. This is so stooooooopid. *sigh* In any case. The romance is proceeding. I just got the encounter I never have in previous PTs. The mod I used also confirmed the points needed are there.

Second Subnautica base is uploaded! This one lags like crazy. (Btw, minor spoiler for what the assembled rocket look like in case anybody currently playing it doesn't want the surprise ruined!)
Now I'll work some more on my 5th base in the Lava Zone which was barebones when I stopped playing last year. Lots of work ahead. Fortunately the big monster is currently not circling it. It always destroys my thermal plant power lines...

So yesterday I attempted to clear up some old quests that had been in my quest log but as usual got side tracked and was only partially successful. Started off trying to find the carpenters brother who'd been taken by pirates but got distracted clearing question marks on the way to location so this guy got stuck on the Ship for a while. Evie's reaction to the delay and the guys personality I suspect: One of the distractions Eventually got to the brother and he carked it of course. Not sure about everyone else but when he dies in my PT's the body does some weird ass flopping around!!! If he was that animated he could have at least finished his final sentence: Meanwhile back to the Ship and more distractions as Kassandra set off to do the Demokrites fetch quest: Women getting it done!!!! Finally caught up with Demokrites, nice hair cut!!!! Then got distracted and ended up 12 kilometres away going to kill a cultist. Had a swim Dried off: Went Hunting Watched the moon rise:

More Pathfinder Kingmaker. Scuttle to the capital and learn that we are one BP short of conquering the Outskirts. So take a nap, buy stuff, sell stuff, ect. Learn about a boy named Tig and meet a funny fellah. Head out and meet the fellah again, saving him from some trolls and letting him go. Because we are good. And he's funny. Aaaaaand we might be dumb. Go to where mom thinks her boy is. Lady says no, I aint heard of him and tells us to go back to the capital to talk to the mom again. Haha no. Waste time at a troll clearing then head back to the ruins. Kill my buddy boo troll and feel sad. Also kill a bunch more trolls and kobolds, feeling less sad. Get our arses whopped by the kings, so go outside and take a nap. After nap Tristian approaches all serious asking about Us. ¿Qué? We've talked maybe 2 times one on one and otherwise it's just been state business. So like. There isn't much of an Us going on. Anywhoos. Go back inside and beat the snot out of the kings. No mercy for the kobold! Take a small break due to life getting in the way. Then play a bit of Saints Row 2 for the laughs. And the moment when you accidentally start a hold up at the clothing store because shop keeper thought that your Shotgun that you happened to be carrying was aimed at them. Then the police gets involved and soon you're just holding up all the shops in the mall in between shooting the ever spawning reinforcements, when all you wanted was to check if they got some cute gothic stuff for you to wear. Then you are cruising around, make a sick jump but accidentally go to low, hit the wall and get crushed under your vehicle as you smash into the ground. So that was a fair bit of fun. Then a wee bit more of Pathfinder. Spoilers for brevity and vague spoilers. Go to the Mud Pit for some shrooms. End up having to stealth pick them since everyone's brains got fried or something. Deliver the shrooms and delve deeper into the mystery of the area. And it ends up being just gosh darn sad.
Kill the Hodag, with Amiri aaaaalmost killing him on her own. Linzi was cheering her on in the back and might have gotten one arrow shot at them during the minute the party considered helping her.
Go back to the capital, get Jaethal's quest and work through it on the way to the innkeeper to do Valerie's quest. Jaethal's quest goes fine, Valerie's not so much since her job is mostly to take the hits, not deal them so...well in single combat she's rubbish. At least her face looks better now, which is always good.
Kaira has her birthday and presumably parties like it.
Then head to the east to go and visit Maegar. And he's polite and all, but he could have offered us a room at the tavern. So leave his town and end up getting booted pretty much on the otherside where we were. So go to the nearby village. Again no rest stop and some really sad stories. Don't delve too deep into them though. Scuttle back to the capital and must now ponder what to do next. Probably try and get Tig away from his new babysitters.

Before mods, the game loads swiftly, at the most 5 - 10 seconds. When I started using mods, loading times become longer.

Kingmaker Phew! Marathon run. I discovered a new mission in the House at the Edge of Time. There're mirrors scattered all over. I did click on one or two or three in previous PTs but they never gave me anything. This time I clicked on one I've never bothered with and got a dialogue. However I did not choose to do the mission due to; 01] Number of mirrors scattered on different levels of the place 02] I doubt the game keeps track and auto reset after hitting the mirrors in the wrong order. There's no way to tell because I did the required number and got no update. It's a fail but the game doesn't tell me whether it's reset. 03] The ridiculous loading time which gets longer and loner as the game goes on. This game suffers from poor Unity memory management and has to be restarted after every two hours of gameplay. There is some slight improvement after the patches but this is a game where you know you can go make yourself a sandwich while waiting for the zone to load in. And yay, I snagged the elusive nymph and got the ending I wanted. Kingdom management numbers count in the epilogue; how well the kingdom is going to fare. I got good numbers though I was too lenient with the provinces so there was a fight to regain a province because the citizens want a republic. Was also too kind to a certain race so they ended up making trouble for travellers and patrols. Some NPCs died. Well one that stood out because he's a fellow I wanted to kick out of the kingdom. But because I was playing lawful neutral, and Valerie had to open her mouth to remind me of that, I chose not to take action. I allowed the kobolds and goblins each a settlement in one of the towns. They appeared in the final battle. I also helped a First World spider, its name is Zzexs or whatever and it also appeared to help in one of the fights. Of the Faceless Sisters, I managed to save one. One is better than none. Because I took the trouble to research the curses, the villain is killed at the end. To save Nyrissa, I must have 13 curses researched, I got 14. There're a total of 16. All companions are loyal, including Linzi despite my accidentally dropping the third segment of her quest though that's no fault of mine. For this game, if you get a companion quest, do it immediately unless you're blocked by a zone that cannot be accessed until the right time. The endings for them turn out well. My protag is a Aasimar, mixed class; ranger / sorcerer. She can wear the crown since it has attributes but I thought it look mighty stupid and unwieldy. Her outfit, longbow and sword came from artisans from different kingdom towns. As long as shops are set up for them, they will present gifts every month or is it annually. If their missions are completed, their gifts get better. I couldn't find a better longbow, sword and outfit anywhere in the game. I put Regongar the half-orc in the most fearsome armour in my storage. He's just for show btw. He gets those wings once his personal quest is completed.

A thought just occurred to me. How many mods are you using? Is it possible the cause of lags etc is due to mods? It's not the mods. I installed those 2 (!) mods only a few days ago but my game has been lagging for ages. I can't tell anymore if it started with the second base already. But by the 3rd for sure. The game was not designed for multiple large bases. It's as simple as that. I can upload my savefile somewhere if you want to stress test your system. Every single game with a base building feature I've played behaves like that if you go overboard.

Giving Days Gone a shot. Driving alongside a horde at night and that one straggler starts screaming at you and the bulk starts running in your direction. Not gonna lie, that's a big video game "oh shit!" moment.
I just get taken right out of it whenever the gameplay or a cutscene fades to black to either sit me on my bike when I left it quite some time ago to sneak through an area, or when it does a time skip to change the climate or time of day for a mission. It really kills the immersion and I don't like it.

Fallout 4. After screwing around in downtown Boston, engaging in urban warfare, decided to go hunt down the rogue Institute scientist. After fighting my way through various mutated freaks of nature, finally found him holed up in a cave. After a lengthy discussion, I end up having to go find a Coursor and kill it. That's fine because killing is my business and business is good. Tracked it down to some old tech building full of Gunner dimwits and took it out of play. Now to go get its chip analyzed. Beautiful view. A view of hell from the high ground. After I used a weather mod to make it clear. Vaporized! Overkill, yes, still fun.

In the Show: Think I got five games in for a 4-1 record. For most of the games it was a tad on the frustrating side on the lack of offense. Like 2 runs on 12 + hits at one point. Though one game was five to nothing. My pitching was pretty much on point though as from the last game I played and then the first game from last night back to back shut outs against the Rays...and then was going pretty late in the third game but they beat me like...3-2. Then I did back to back shut outs of the As. I was on the mound for one of them. 20 Ks, 1 H, 8.2 IP. I was one out from a perfect game and they knocked one into right field and I had no energy bar so I went to the bullpen. Last game won 8-7.
In GRW: The new Operation Oracle came out last week and got a chance to play it. And it was...AWESOME. All indications are pointing to this being the last one and it was probably, at least in my not so humble opinion, the best one yet. Had to go in and rescue a Skell tech engineer and man...it actually had a story plot! Full of betrayals, double crosses, the idea that Bowman was in on it. Some terrific gun fights and cool little personal moments. One of the funny moments was I was actually doing a pretty perfect job sneaking in through FOB Jaguar and taking out Unidad with expert sniper fire. And then I was getting a detection alarm out of nowhere, I didn't see where it was coming from but this fecking pickup truck came out of nowhere and well I guess one of them was driving it because they detected me...two running firefights later I was able to get into the base and take out the rest sillently. rescue Bowman. Oh and it was interesting seeing Shane from TWD again.
I did run through the ending again and finally, FINALLY got the second alternative 'good' ending. Quite satisfying. It is funny how anti climactic that mission is if you do it right. I landed my helo on the roof and then took off with it when the rebels went bad and then I landed it right next to the door with the final cutscene so I skipped all the fighting. lol.

So yesterday essentially did Kleon's missions first instead of Perikles. Forgot how long and tedious the one for Kleon is rescuing his messenger and the ships captain. Then just stuffed around clearing "?" and also did the quests for Heitor the blacksmith. Killed some mercenaries and got myself to tier two, it was kind of the two tier two mercenary's to come hunt me at the same castle. Discovered a woman singing in English in Athens, never encountered that before, still couldn't understand what she was saying!!!!! Pic's Bad horse parking part 5 The woman singing in English in Athens Yay tier two Scenery

Two more games played in the Show. Won both of them. 10-2 the first one and the second one 4-3 in extra innings. Looks like Xander Boegarts is coming out of his cold spell as he managed three hits and the game winning home run. Christian Vazques had the other 3 RBIs and David Price was pitching well...until he wasn't. Also the previous game had Steve Pearce do most of the damage with two home runs and four driven in. Also JD Martinez is up to a 23 game hitting streak.

Spending more time with Days Gone. It's strange that this game gets flack for beeing "just" another zombie game, when I think it's the first that gets the gameplay side and tension of supply runs right.
It's still has issues, especially performance wise, but I'm invested and I'm having fun.

Been playing Kingmaker for the last few days. (With a teeny bit of Skyrim two days ago). Kingmaker was mostly lollygagging for the first two days. Lots of travelling back and forwards and cursing people who decided they wanted to talk AFTER I left the Keep. Then today things got real. Spoilers cuz spoilers but try to be vague. A fun hunting contest, explosion of disease in the area, Stag Lord part two the Staggering, so many goblins and then just a big ol' mess. Ended the session back in the Womb since the game was lagging something fierce, the game kicked me in the shins with a tearjerker and if I didn't it would soon be 4 am.
While Kaira is super into being good, I find her being surprisingly merciless towards bandits. Granted the ones she smashed were following orders of a guy who had crossed her once (well he hadn't, but if he wants the title he gets bills or something...) so I'm being amused of oh sure I show you mercy, no problem oh you bandit? DIE. Same with Goblins, but that I'm blaming on a racial trait. Granted she's usually merciful if it's just one Goblin, but once they group up they tend to get smushed.
Did end up spoiling myself afterwards on "How things could have gonetm " but I prefer my route. So delightfully tragic. Ooof. Probably also going to spot some oversights on the other stuff I did. Soooo.
Still haven't got more advisor slots. So getting a wee bit worried. Also neither Octavia nor Regongar have offered any companion quests...Haven't been taking them with me much because...well I prefer the people in my team. But also getting a wee bit worried on that front as well.
Tristian has taken up reading dirty books and was persuaded to let Kaira in on them. He atleast is piping up some more. So...that's nice.
Otherwise it's been quiet on the companion front. Except for the feast in the forest I guess. That was nice. But all in all having fun. Glad that the plot picked up a little bit, even if it was sad. So good times.

So yesterday didn't get a lot done, just not much time damn RL again getting in the way!!!!! So basically did the three quests for Perikles, killed Snake Man and his snakes, broke into the house and didn't get detected rigging the vote but didn't get any difference in outcome that I noticed, perhaps a change in dialogue that I missed? Then snuck into Phydias's workshop transported him to Seriphos (SP?) and did all the missions there, was mean to the little girl Khloe re her clay friends so she'd get some real ones, helped the woman who wanted to win the beauty competition and marry Aetos, then told the guards the other woman was a witch at the celebration and deliberately just sat back and watched the guards kill her. It all ended happily ever after even though she was bald. I also killed and was almost killed by numerous Boars and damn Lynx!!!! Then sailed back Athens for The Symposium. Stop whinging Phydias and don't puke on my deck!!! The Adrestia looking impressive at Night: Poor Khloe, I hate being mean to her. Burn the witch:

Otherwise it's been quiet on the companion front. Except for the feast in the forest I guess. That was nice. But all in all having fun. Glad that the plot picked up a little bit, even if it was sad. So good times. Don't worry about the extended advisor slots. You'll only get them once the kingdom expanded. If the Treasurer slot is empty, don't worry, Jubilost will appear once the Troll event kicks off. He will appear at the Ford across Skunk River, west of the kingdom. If you do not have anybody to research some of the *curses, don't worry, the advisor will appear later. Octavia and Regongar's quests appear later in the game, just before the Pitax event. By that time, you should have acquired more than five regions. *Curses Even if you're not after the nymph, it's advisable to research all curses. They are the priority if you want a good ending. As soon as you're able to start the research, begin immediately because the projects take up many days. If you have kingdom problems, they are the next important tasks to be handled as fast as possible. As the game advised, it doesn't matter if you miss opportunities like persuading some mage or some mercenary to stay, they won't bring down the kingdom. Problems / crisis do.

Yesterday, in conan exiles, I'm thinking of moving my camp up north a ways. Not very far, just up to the greenery area. Also, I just started making steel! That doesn't sound like much, I know. But its a pretty big milestone for me. Next, I made the long journey to the grassland, and skinned some Rinos. Now I have some thick leather to work with, for creating some better medium armor. Though the medium armor is anti-cold, not anti heat (which is what I need now). Thats another reason to head north, to the grasslands. Just kinda hang out up there, building up a slightly larger base. Or...I could build a larger base where I am now. Give everyone a larger work area to work with. With their own house.
Decisions Decisions...

So yesterday was a bit of a frustrating day, Rush Assassination failed to chain several times when I'd got a situation where there were 4 or 5 guys I was going to take down to clear an area. In the Silver mines in southern Attika that meant some running away, especially as a Mercenary just happened to wander by (had no bounty on me) and a wolf and a Lion also joined in. Also on two occasions got spotted in places by guards, one who saw me through a tent and another through a solid wall!!! Anyway, went to the symposium then did all Sokrates and Alkibiades quests in Athens that were available and that led me to the silver mines mentioned above, killing that cultist is one of the more enjoyable ones but I do not in anyway understand why the slave is still not just outside and you can't free him somehow if you just choose to kill the cultist!!!! Best part of the day was a "Red Skull" Merc rode by me and I thought I'd have a go at taking him down. Was hidden and for the 2nd time yesterday RA just wouldn't work on a mercenary. Is there some thing about some merc's that you can't use it? So anyway rode up beside him and hit Crit Assassinate but that didn't do much damage for some reason but hit him with a few Heroic Strikes and got lucky as I was standing in a bush and when he fell over the game made me "hidden" so fired RA and it was all over. It proved a good kill as it jumped me from Tier 2 to Tier S1. Pics Was good to see Phoibe again And Sad to see her again: Good to see Alkibiades and The Goat again: No comment: Some of the missions for these two are tiresome but some are pretty good: The Merc who lifted me two tiers:

Playing or rather trying Witcher III again. There're a few things going against this game, for me at least. * the inability to sell weapons I picked off enemies because the blacksmith and merchant at the starting village do not want them. I went to read up about them. Found out not only do certain merchants not take certain goods, they don't have much gold to begin with. That is logical, if blacksmith has a surplus, he won't want to buy any. But it's not very helpful to the player. So to make money, take up contracts (which is logical) or exploit certain loopholes among the merchants in a town I've never been to yet. This is not helpful when gold are needed to repair weapons and armour. Also extremely not helpful when I died a few times thus incurring lots of dmg to equipment through attempts to kick the mobs. I went exploring, hoping to run into areas where I can scrabble some gold. It's a miserable jaunt with not much to show for the effort. * combat. I don't like the combat in the Witcher series. I tried all three; the first was the most atrocious but that's a given. The third is more versatile in movements but not intuitive to a beginner when it comes to spells. I had to keep tabbing out and flipping to the spell signs because I could not remember what each meant. Parrying is pointless. whoopie So it's frog jumping every which way to avoid getting hit. When it comes to a quest that culminated in; chase and knock NPC off his horse, I was at sea because I have no idea how to knock him off. I ended up chasing him persistently (despite a few opportunities to "knock him off") after the first attempt and ended up at his pals' camp. Got whooped, of course. That's when, exasperated, I went to look for cheats. I don't give a fig about doing combat the honest way in this game. Just let me plow through and get on with the story. This is a far cry from ACOD where I enjoyed the combat and progress through the game honestly. Witcher III, nope.

It proved a good kill as it jumped me from Tier 2 to Tier S1. You said he's a Red Skull tag which means he's of a higher level. How do you expect RA to do much on him? The issue was when I was waiting to ambush him to start the fight RA wouldn't even trigger when he rode past, it said it was ready but no dot appeared on the target (I tried hitting it anyway) to initiate it and he was definitely close enough based on previous experience. It has done this sporadically before. RA has killed everything it hit for me even higher level Mercs with my current build. My Crit chance is 63% when full health, with Crit damage of I think of about 180%. My assassination abilities are at least +60% and I have +10% on all abilities and my assassination damage is boosted at least another 20%. Yesterday in the Fort in Korinthia where you deliver Alkibiades special moulding, I took down the leader and all four of his guards with RA and they were all L90. So in regards to the red skull Merc. when I sat him on his ass with HS and then became hidden I one hit him with RA no trouble.

I play the Witcher games purely for the setting, the story and the characters, combat is my least favourite part and silly things like the vendor issue are damn annoying. I never modded TW1, but TW2 I modded the hell out of and same for TW3 to get rid of inventory and merchant issues in particular. Commbat I just set to easy and AARD and IGNI the shit out of everything, grenades are great too!!!!!!
