I picked up an Xbox Games Pass because it includes the cost of Xbox live and costs not a great deal more. Downloaded for the first time: - Fable I, II & III
- Forza Horizon 4
- Hitman I & 2
- Metro Exodus
For starters. Those should keep me occupied for a while... Is subscription the future?

With my population stabilized at around 400 and everything in good stock and positive, stabilized supply, I decided to quit my first village and start a new map, also from 'hard'. ...Eager to try out what I had learned from the beginning. Turned out I had learned complacency. Everybody froze to death when winter came. Tried again. Ran out of food and everybody starved to death. Contemplated and remembered how focused and intense I had been when I started my first village. I had been very inspired by 'Don't Starve' (brilliantly made and fun game, but don't get it and don't play it, because it's not good for your mental health ), and was very aware of how desperate the situation was. So I tried yet again, intensely focused on always prioritizing the next crisis . This time I survived the first 5 years. No deaths. And while lack of logs, firewood and stone is a kind of persistent threat, and the terrain is kinda shitty, I feel good about this.

Bit of Stardew Valley. Bit of Divine Divinity the Origin of Screaming. Got a snazzy bedroom at the headquarters with fancy red chairs perfect for screenies. Also poked around areas a bit. Found out that someone turned out to be a bad guy. And Aerie was like "Oh no! Not x, he was so gentle" or something. And all I could think was Who? Have I even met this person? Did I skip content? Then like 20 min later I realized who it was and wondered how Aerie got "gentle" out of it, because all I got from him was a twit. But then again, she's a bit wonky. Tried to fight a boss, so walk up to him, initiate combat, he (and one of his mates) obliterate us before we even get a turn. And the game pipes up with "You might be under levelled for this encounter" You don't say... Why must I pay bridge crossing toll WHEN I'M WALKING PAST THE BRIDGE. Stoopid troll is stoopid. But also really though so I can't do a thing. Realized I could actually visit the orc beach now. It's not a piece of cake, but considerably less of a headbanger than the other areas. Biggest problem is traps. Gosh darn them all to the void. And crabs. Diseased crabs or the disease crabs? Not sure anymore... Either way ended it after having been blown up for the 35th time. Ugh this game. It's driving me batty, but I can't seem to quit it. Bit of Assassin's Creed Odyssey for testing. Ikaros Also NG+ makes the starting scene more funny. Some blokes in their leathers thinking they can take on a fully armored, decked out killing machine. Also Ikaros actually helps this time around! So he makes up for the late warning by kicking arse and eating eyes. Considered to pick up my run and finally help Natakas with his mission, but nah...He can wait some more.

So again a bit of a rushed and short PT yesterday but did manage to kill at least 6 mercenaries and a cultist. So found the leader of Achaia in Olourros (SP?) Fort, this damn fort I always seem to end up doing several times in a PT!!!!! Its not a bad one though the layout is conducive to stealth and good for racking up a body count, especially when the Merc's come to play - SUCKERS!!! Anyway killed the leader and did the Conquest Battle, the right one this time and you have to do it on "Hard" which I was a bit concerned about but went OK and killed poor old Pallas The Silencer in one hit. Since had cultists in my sight headed to Kythera to do the I Diona quest and get me another cultist scalp. Did all the sub-quests except going to see the sister and whatever she has you do, also rescued an incompetent Lynx Hunter. This guys still stuck in the battle field at Achaia and stuck with arrows too: Rescued this guy and killed me some damn Lynx Have been this PT with having Kassandra answer wherever possible that she is sent from the gods or a goddess, has been quite fun: You might Bite but I am on to you and will have the last laugh as I know you are on the right (wonder who gets it)!!! Going the Celestial look ATM

So I had a lot of fun in baseball tonight. Three games. Won them all. To say the least Chris Sale pitched guit a gem. I got out to a fairly early 2-0 lead But just couldn't get anything else going not for a long, long, while. I finally broke through in the bottom of the eighth with 3 runs. Brock holt came up huge by looping a two run single to Center Field scoring 2, his first RBIs for the entire year. Meanwhile though Sale was...on his A game against the Rays. Pitched all 9 innings..14 strikeouts...and a Perfect Game. Or at least pretty sure a Perfect Game. Xander Boegarts scuffed a groundball comitting an error with two outs left in the 9th and they were going on about a no hitter so that might've ruined the perfect game somehow, but a no hitter is stil a no hitter (that earned me a trophy).
Second game Strasberg didn't keep up the perfection for long though as he got tagged for three runs in the first inning against the Rangers. But I battled back 1 run in the first, two in the second. And I think I went up 4-3 by the fourth since the Texas Pitcher did not last long. Strasberg had a gutsy performance though from there on he was roughened up throughout but didn't give up anymore runs and my bullpen held up despite what I consider the 'extended' use of 3 innings. Ryan Brasier pitched a scorless seventh, Barnes pitched a scoreless 8th...and then once again my hitting came through in the bottom of the eigth to break the game open. Left Barnes in there in the 9th and despite a very annoying 'error' by JBJ which put a runner on second he held them there for the 2 inning save.
Then the third game once more another very gutsy perfomance by David Price and he pitched well. Gave up a lead off tripple to Elvus Andrus who scored on a sac fly then Andrus hit a home run...I battled back...twice...to tie the game at two but had to go to my pen in the eigth since Price was tirrreeeeed. So Eovaldi came in and he just didn't have it as he only lasted a third of an inning and gave up a run. Put Miller in an emergency situation and he held up and got the final two outs. So into the ninth inning left Miller out there and he held up. Went to the bottom of the ninth, two outs, down by one. Then three straight single loaded the bases with Mookie up at bat. He roped a base hit to center scoring two walking it off, 4-3 the final, Andrew Miller picked up his first win of the season.

I wanted to do the last DLC of SotTR, but realised my new game + wasn't done. So I finished that:
That moment when you finally give your crush a present and she proceeds to casually rent your heart in two: Now this was a glitch and a half: Bye Dad! Really like this outfit. Next up: Actually doing the DLC.

Watched some Blood and Wine pt on YT while taking a break from reading. I've to say I at some comments that harangued the Duchess for being stupid and dumb, etc for her decisions. For me, I understand why her sense of justice and prudence did not take precedence. She's not stupid. She's well aware of what she's doing. Her guilt over the treatment of Synanna, her failure to make right the wrongs done to Syanna weighed heavily on her. It's all there the moment Geralt met her. Her instant decision to take action right from the get go to save a loyal retainer. She involved herself instead of standing back, letting her commander and soldiers do it. She remembered her lack of action in the past, the grief that arose from that in-action. She would not allow it to happen again if she could. With Syanna's return, she was determined to do right by her sister. How could she hand her sister over when she knew very well it meant her death. How would she be able to do it when she had not redeemed herself with Syanna? Her passion and determination to do so dictated her decisions from the events of the vampire attack on the city right up to the trial. In any case, I started a NG+ for TW3. I'll be doing all the SQs since I dropped several in the first PT because I was more interested in the main story. Now that I know it, I can take my time. Still not going to do gwent, no interest in that. Likely to do the punching games.

I will give Divine Divinity the Original Sin one thing. It's damn satisfying to wipe out an encounter in the first round, using their own bloody tools against them. It's also really stupid. Like an undead pirate would stand still after his one liner while three people mosey around, moving barrels and taking positions, just because the chick he's talking to doesn't indicate to him that things are over. And it's not like he was bedazzled by her cleavage, since it works the same with Kraven and his magnificent cleavage is fully covered... But at the same time, Kraven did manage to seduce a wizard so...
Also got a new best friend. Who only Aerie get's to call on since Kraven was all "He really should just die proper" and she was like "Noooooo". But it's good to have him because he's a funny fellow.
Either way, first bit of the session was kinda fun. Played a bit with switches which had all sorts of fun functions. Did the neat wipe out (took a few tries but let's ignore that). Also found some spiders (finally) and killed them (nooooo!). Then went and checked off a couple of quests. One was kinda funny since it depended on finding an item on a corpse. Which turned out to be the ONLY non-named corpse I didn't loot in that area. Greeeeat.
Then imbibed with new confidence we booted two general's bums back to the underworld with minimal casualties on our side.
Then went to the big boss who obliterated us before and showed him who can abuse doors and conversation stupidity! Again it was pretty stupid, this time because I got to watch three angry generals squeeze their way through a tiny door to get to us. Also what sort of bad guy just stands there as people surround him with vases. Granted he did just walk through them, but like, really?
Then things started going south as difficulty went up again. Went witch hunting and found many angry magicians on the way. Wonder what bee was in their bonnet.... Hammered my way to some sort of ice world and once more my interest is waning. Got a bit peaked where I found a black hall that someone painted red. Nasty. But bailed out of that encounter and am leaving it for later. Ended the session in prison. Where I belong. Hehe. Although ironically our thief got separated from the group, so he's the only one not in jail. Where is the justice in that?
So a bit of fun times, bit of frustration and sadly a lack of marmalade.

So yesterday achieved quite a bit, finished I Diona and killed the correct twin first try. Then moved on to other quests that I was going to skip but glad I did them all had a decent element of humour in them. Did the MinoTour and of course no one believes that Kass has already killed the damn beast and killed the thugs at the end. Helped Morys the guy who was going to commit suicide. Last time I talked him down and sent him on his way but this time I agreed to help him lie about defeating the minotaur and stole the armour and axe and sent him on his way home. Did the Minotaur Pre-Trials and beat the heck out of the strong guy, looted the underwater chest and found the kids and didn't buy any of the tokens. Then went with the other dudes to kill The Minotaur but ended up killing them instead and got the true story out of the fake Minotaur and then went and rescued his daughter. Fight was OK a bit hard as I couldn't use Rush Assassinate as The Fake Minotaur (AKA Dad) shouted abuse at the guards but got through them and then rescued the daughter. After that headed off to kill the cultist melitele but ran out of play time. Some Pics Kass dispatches another cultist, shame really kas enjoyed her night time adventures with her Rescued this guy and got him some armour and a wepon so he could lie and say he defeated The Minotaur My Mino-Tour guide Said guide caught out The ferocious Minotaur, FEAR HIS MOO!!!!!

Back from my vacation trip... immediately returned to my FO4 settlement. Except I spent ALL of last night, two hours, doing nothing but recycling settler faces, looking for the ONE preset with hair that's falling out for my Children Of Atom settlement. But no luck whatsoever. For a brief moment I thought I had the perfect solution: wigs! I have a mod that lets you craft different hairstyles you wear instead of hats. That mod has MOST of the vanilla styles but not all of them. And naturally, the two I need were NOT among them. Why, universe? Why are you so cruel?
My settler generation is one big surprise ever since my Mod Manager died and I had to re-activate them manually in the plugin file. Suddenly I get dozens of faces I've never seen before. Hair styles from mods that were not used before. Colors I don't even recall having a mod for. Last night a woman with PINK hair spawned, what the actual hell? LOL! I'm not complaining, mind you. I have a nice pool of different heads for different settlement themes now. But modding is SO weird sometimes. So apparently when I used the load order helper LOOT everything was messed up a bit. Now that I just listed all the plugins alphabetically, it runs better! WTF... so much for the importance of load order!

This image says it all. I'll not post the bloody gruesome end to this bandit. Came across a SQ while roaming everywhere where people were magicked into pigs. oink oink. Fortunately for me, I chose not to take the offering of roasted pork. For one, they were bandits. Why the heck would Geralt accept anything from bandits? And two, they were too friendly. I thought it odd at first the villager would cry over the roasted pig. Must be a pet I thought and then it dawned on me it wasn't. ugh. I never came across this quest in the first PT.

We'll have to name it the "Tyrion Assassination" I enjoyed Origins quite a lot EXCEPT I found the combat a chore so could never make myself play it again. Ah okay well i now understand why haha. Yeah lets call it that haha because that was also a situation where his father could not really defend himself. For me it's mostly the enemies like those elite captains and archers or whatever they are and the soldiers with shields. Especially the ones with those really big shields where they can fully hide behind. And also the fact that i cannot make my own arrows and there are some more annoying/irritating things in Origins. I did like the story though at least so far but ... i don't know if i will ever finish the game ... maybe someday.

Its worth finishing but I never played the DLC. its a good story and setting but yeah the combat was a chore and the gameplay was very repetitive.

Finished Vampire Bloodlines. LaCroix went bonkers, Jack had a good laugh, my protag flipped off Nines (I like him though, just didn't want to stick with the Anarchs) and walked off into the night. On the whole, I think the Anarchs are slightly more trustworthy than the Camarilla and Kuei-jin but then, it's better to only trust oneself in this game world. I destroyed the LA Sabbat though no doubt, more sabbat would trickle in from other states and without a doubt, they wouldn't like the protag. But that's all right, she wasn't going to stay in LA. That brings the question of the protag's blood legacy because she had to be pretty near to Caine. Three, four generations away? Chars that I like. Jack, Nines and Beckett.
I'm not such a big fan of Jack, because (I put it in spoiler tags, because that is info you get, when you finish the game he is the one pulling all the strings around the Ankaran sarcophagus and could have given you a heads up. Plus I think it is implied, that he killed the people on the Elizabeth Dane in order to free Caine ? At least, he helped someone, who did that massacre.
So basically, if he really had our well-being in mind, he could have helped us and in return we could have helped him - a nice quid pro quo.
But his dialogues are funny.
A character, I really love, is Gary Golden, the Nosferatu primogen, he has a great humour and memorable dialogues. And Mitnick, the Nosferatu Techhead. I generally like the Nosferatu I guess, apart from Imalia, who really is a bitch.
Oh - and Mercurio, the only otehr person, Rosa said, you can trust, apart from beckett (and yes, Beckett is a favorite of mine too)
Characters I really don't like, despite them being so popular are VV and Jeanette, but especially VV. She is so useless and spineless. Jeanette is just annoying as hell.
I would like to see more signature characters in VTMB2, like Sascha Vykos, Lucita, Theo Bell ...

Regards Jack. It's clear that he played a hand in LaCroix downfall by using the sarcophagus. However, are you quoting from some source regards his killing everybody on the E Dane, etc?
My hypothesis is different. The protag observed that the sarcophagus was opened from within. If it did contain Caine, then he was the one who got out by himself. If it did not contain Caine but the stiff that was seen at the end beside Jack, then the scene was manipulated. Either by Jack or Caine or both. I'm inclined towards the latter. The massacre depended largely on "evidence"; how many bodies of the crew did the cops pick up? The reports stated some missing crew. For all we know, they could be ghouls that were part of the plan.
The sarcophagus is somewhat of a macguffin. Everyone was scared of it, thinking it brought either power or doomsday, depending on personal interpretation. I wouldn't be surprised if Caine did not like the way the vampire factions in LA were developing and set up the events on the E Dane and the sarcophagus as the means to effect a change or to prevent a catastrophe to the vampires.
Jack did provide some basic help but I'm not upset he provided as little as he did. He's ancient and would have seen much. Likely he preferred to see new blood prove themselves without much hand holding; sink or swim. He would see what kind of vampires they are by their actions. He's always available to advise, it's up them to decide whether they want to heed it.
There's one instance in which Beckett appeared to the protag, agitated, telling them not to open the sarcophagus, citing the reason that he believed the doomsday prophecy. I think Jack / Caine told him what's up but forbade him to reveal anything to the protag so Beckett used that excuse to warn the protag. If Beckett truly believed that nonsense, he would have gone all out to stop anyone from opening the sarcophagus. Instead he just said his piece to the protag and disappeared. A coward running to hide? I don't think so.

I thought, that Jack must be at least partly responsible for the massacre, because I do believe, he and Caine planted the setup on the Elisabeth Dane, so that every Kindred gets ecxited. They must have pukked out Messerach or whoever really lied in the sarcophagus (the mummy from the end)and planted the handprints.
I'm not really mad at Jack, but to me, he really is not much better than for example Andrei the Tzimisce (which I love btw). Both give you useful information, both have no problems with seeing you die. But many fans see Jack as some kind of hero and that always rubs me the wrong way. If that story has a hero, it probably is Nines, freedom fighter and honest to the end. Jack was a pirate when alive and I think, he still is. According to the Gehenna book, he even returns to his old pirating ways for a while and then founded a cult.
I agree, that Beckett might have had a little chat with Caine. It would fit Caine as he is portrayed in the game, that he would approached the one Kindred, that is absolutetly against the Caine legend and tries everything to discard it, to make him his messenger and literally put the frea of god in him. Beckett is normally not easily scared, at least not in the books and comics, so something must have happened I just started a new playthrough of VTMB, this time with a Ventrue, a clan, I never played before (my three most played clans are Gangrel, Malkavians and Tremere with the occasional Nosferatu mixed in). I like the disciplines, but it is a bit of a letdown, that you can't feed on rats. Well, I have to carry some bloodbags then, I guess. I changed the skin, because I don't like the original Ventrue skin. This one was made by Barabbah over at the Planet Vampire forum (a reskin of a Toreador skin mod). I might join the anarchs with her. Or the Sabbat (you can do that with either Unofficial Patch Plus or Clan Quest Mod). I like Andrei the Tzimisce, I know, I'm strange.

Watching a game called Sinking City; available on console and PC, due to release on 27th June. The setting in this;
The Sinking City takes place in the secluded fishing town of Oakmont, Massachusetts in the 1920s, a place that is not marked on any map and few people know how to find due to its remoteness. Oakmont has a long history of association with the occult, and many of its citizens are not only eccentric, but unabashed practitioners of occultism. Cultists in bloody ritual garb are an unremarkable sight on the streets alongside fishermen, average townsfolk, refugees from the destruction of nearby Innsmouth, the destitute and desperate, and well-heeled members of the upper class. The town also developed its own unique dialect over the years, but the origin of many phrases is murky. Six months ago, Oakmont was inundated by a mysterious, persistent flood of supernatural origin that has submerged many of its streets and cut it off from the mainland. "The Flood", as it is known by Oakmonters, brought with it a dark force that inexorably instills hysteria and madness in the minds of the terrified citizens, and the struggling town is on the brink of collapse. In addition, droves of people from outside Oakmont who were reported missing have been turning up in the town, drawn by haunting, unaccountable visions.
I dropped in, in the middle of the gameplay and immediately saw the human protag talking to what seemed like a monster. As it turned out, as the dialogue goes along, the NPC who looked as though his flesh is melting (he kind of reminds me of the fishy monster in XFiles) is one of two species who interact with humans in Oakmont. The town is controlled by the other species that look like apes. The first thing that alerted me that what he said of himself may be what he believed but not necessarily true is this line uttered by the protag; I'm sorry, I've never seen your kind before. This implied the alien species in Oakmount do not exist outside that territory. Add to the fact that the player suffers from hallucinations time to time depending on the obstacles he face, the existence of such species is in question. The ending should be interesting.

DDtOS Made a revolutionary discovery! Your mind is less tactical when you are feeling sleepy. So me doing worse later in the session is actually just biology and not me being a colossal looser. So yeah continue where I left on and things, well lets just say they go and refuse to indicate the direction.
Deal with the bits that stumped me yesterday. Nasty troll gets it's intestines pulled out, Hilda gets hers >:C, then laugh at the guardian when I realize I can cheeze it rot free with Bairdotr. Enter the red room and make it MORE RED. And green. And stuff. Go back to prison and make breakthroughs on getting in deeper. Alas cat person is already there to tell me that my solution is another castle. Murder the local wolf population, papa will have new boots this winter! Kraven shows off his throwing skills as we think outside the box with pyramids.
I kill a King (on the second (proper) try) so by law I am now King. Then start hearing voices of other kings, clear indicator of royalty.
Shove her back in the freezer! SHOVE HER BACK IN THE FREEZER. Get some juicy plot points and another infuriating blabbermouth back at the hideout. Yay.
Next up was stealthiness past goblins since I doubted I'd get gud enough to win them in a fight. Granted I also doubted I could even sneak past them. Luckily Wolgraff and his invisibility won the day once more.
Then spent the rest of the session lollygagging through the mines. Did manage to get through them, but skipped a bunch of stuff that I can't get to later so reloaded and am now spending time exploring nooks and crannies.

Oh man I am terrible playing when I am tired, yesterday was a case in hand when I was playing Odyssey!!!! The main clue for me is the swearing and blaming a really stable game for my mistakes!!!!!
