At this rate all future Bioware games will be half done and modders need to rescue it for free.

After yesterday scare we move forward towards having some fun using the snowfox and it is a doozy. Ir is a shame we won't have more cha ces to utilize it much later in but that is fine. Let us expand our options:

Some nice things about this game;
if you give a scroll to a NPC, NPC will take the scroll, unfurl it, read it and respond. It's a little thing but hell of a lot better than other game devs who do not want to do the animation work
Helms with visors that can be lowered or raised
When the MC cook, the meat is shown sizzling away on the pan. The Pawns are of course appreciative they get a nice meal. Too bad food like fish and fruits can't be cooked in the cooking pot which is funny considering pottage is the common dish in medieval times
Unemployed pawns walking along the roads will jump in to help in a fight. Same with the guards. The Pawns and unemployed pawns with the MC are definitely very useful and make a lot more impact than other tag alongs in other games

NHL 22This was a lot of fun. I do love my heaping pots full of Pasta. Also pretty much got all my contracts settled by and large which should be kind of interesting, of course, for the off season, lets see how this goes. But did lock down Pasta long term and the only people I didn't go for was Chris Wagner since he is no longer a Bruin...he is actually an Avalanche in fact...and Joe Thornton who is 43 years old and wanted a two year extension...I have him a 1 year extension. And he didn't like it, oh well he is probably getting a cup and playing well for me so...yeah who knows what my lineup will look like next year again. As far as the games Wild, Senators, Red Wings. 5-2, 11-0, 10-0. ALways fun beating up on the Red Wings. Wild game the Flower was in net so always looking forward to a great little goalie showdown and he did quite well by and large. Just peppered him and he did hold up well. On the flip side though did go out to a 5-0 lead by the second... and then they scored two goals in the third so that is a little annoying. I mean can't have it all but there it is. Most notable goal though was a bit of intentionality on the Power Play. Got the puck to Pastranak, geared up for a slap shot, changed my mind since I didn['t got the one timer down, so instead he wristed it. Chaos ensued as the ref initially ruled it as a no goal and the commentators started gesticulating about the puck being kicked in...but it stood in the end and it happened that Coyle got a tip in. Senator game was wild for its own way. Just a human highlight real and the most ironic and weird part is I only went 2 for 5 on the Powerplay. Think Bergeron opened up the scoring on a surprising goal that got in by bouncing off the goalie, then the crossbar, then in. Pasta would get the next one on a breakway for the first power play goal. And yeah lets see here. Carlo got his second of the season on a weird breakway for a defensemen. Gryz got his 14th, breakway. Two goals for Thronton, an assist which went to Fredric, Marchand probably as well. Zacha got his fiftieth of the season as well. But the real coup was Pasta just went off, 5 point night, 4th hat trick of the season, and his second game with 4 goals. This gives him a league leading 52 goals and up to 84 points so he went on fire. And the fun didn't stop there as during the game he got his 53rd goal. Another goal by Thornton got his 11th and finially Seguin got back on the board for his ninth. Only annoying thing happened Hall got hurt for a couple of games, like a week, with a strained shoulder so have to shuffle the lineup deck again...Tomas Nosek is back in for now. Ghost Recon WildlandsWe did some of the most competent, Ninja, and funniest play sessions we've had in a hot minute. We pick up on the mission where we are hunting for the Cartel deserter. First up the first guy you go for I had the idea of disabling his car with an EMP drone...and it didn't work as he quite happily got in said car to drive away when we blew the cover. But I put two bullets into it which stopped it dead in its tracks, and then another one across the way. Then I provided sniper fire for wifey as she went in via helo to go after the guy. Things got extra dicey though when just random arseholes popped up out of nowhere on me and vehicle reinforcements came in. Three rounds blew up the vehicle and then I expertly took the fire, worked the bolt, and struck down the three guys that went after me. After that it was a pretty simple mission to mop up the rest of the sicarios. Next set piece here started to work on things to go after the deserter. I of course missed a shot which all hell broke loose but it was hilarious because the deserter started shooting at the sicarios...started shooting at me...then onto wife's helicopter as she provided air support...and then back to me as I grabbed him. Onto going after Bookhart and the Battle of the Mines part two. And dead body got discovered which got us into a fire fight but it was just so neat as we worked ourselves through the base methodically. Just popping them. My first side objective is wifey pushed for a Kingslayer but there was a mini gun in the middle of the hall so I went to secure it, just squatted on it and popped anyone who came after us. Then she got the jump on Bookhart. Finally though off to Villa Verde. Did a misison where we had to clear sicarios out of pyrolucite mines. Actually got some pretty good sniping in that I got a 268 meter shot with supressor still on. And other similar shots from both of us as we swept through both locations.

Finished Outcast - A New Beginning this weekend after 35 hours.
It's a charming recall to a lot of the stuff that made the old one great. Especially the cool 90s vibes main character Cutter Slade and all the other goofy characters with often quite silly dialogues. It's a little too silly at times and the fact that they stuck with the same 90s video game story telling style makes it seem a little oldschool in 2024 at times but if you liked the original, this really is a nice callback in that sense.
The world design is beautiful and the movement with the jetpack and glider (once upgraded properly after the first few hours) is great and a lot of fun and didn't get old for me even after 30 hours of play.
My main criticism is that they put a lot of repetitive side content into the open world. They really went for the "Ubisoft formula" in that sense and it does feel a little samey and grindy at times. At least it's not quite as much as the newer Assassin's Creeds had. Also, the fire fights against the animals and robots do also get quite repetitive at times. A few more weapons and enemy variants would have been good. That said, the fights are not bad in general. They work just fine, they just lack that little extra push to make them really special.
The ending does dial the action up a notch and has an actually rather cool boss fight but the story really gets way more wacky than I expected in the end and I can't say I really got it. It just devolves into a lot of space magic and a light show and then it's over. It's a bit weird.
All in all, it's a decent game but certainly not an absolute hit. Well worth a look for people who like the first one but do expect a certain amount of jank and goofiness for sure. It gets 7/10 misunderstood idioms or pop culture references from the 90s from me.

I've redownloaded Honkai Impact 3rd (I wasn't free for long ) and downloaded AFK Journey (I succumbed to pretty art). With HI3rd I'm mostly doing daily/weekly stuff. I still have some chapters to play, but they're mostly part 1.5 filler chapters, so I'm not pressed to complete them. I'm caught up with all part 1 chapters and all available part 2 chapters. As for AFK Journey, it's still pretty new, so the progress is somehow steady, though it does significantly slow down when you start to run out of one of the resources. But honestly, I expected that of idle/afk game. I'm here mostly for art, which I knew would be great after AFK Arena and Dislyte (played both as well). Aside from playing those two, I've been mostly playing Honkai Star Rail. Patch 2.1 dropped a little over a week ago with continuation of Penacony story and it's shaping to be my favourite storyline Hoyoverse have ever created. Honestly, I'm 99% sure it'll end up my fave, I'm just waiting to see if they stick the landing. Not to mention some of the questions asked drove me into teeny tiny existential crisis. After finishing my own playthrough of 2.1 story, I went on binge of watching content creators playing it (technically I'm still on that binge). I love their reactions, especially how most of them did 180° on one character and those who didn't simply liked that character prior

Finished both Knights of the Old Republic games. Aside from the starter planets (Taris and Telos) the other ones were quite small. So I was able to finish them in 40 hours which was a big deal back then. But today with games like Baldur's Gate 3 which takes me nearly 40 hours to complete Act 1, 40 hours to complete a game is not a big deal. Tonight I will resume my Sith Warrior and Jedi Guardian campaigns in Star Wars: The Old Republic. I've played the game off and on for the past 6 years and never completed it. I don't know why. While I do not like mmo's SWTOR is basically an online single player game. I will try to finish both campaigns. I really want to see the Shadow of Revan expansion pack. Aside from the Revan cult I've seen no mention of him. Also the Jedi Exile Meetra Surik I haven't seen any mention of her either.

Dragons Dogma 2 Put down my first Griffin today He was one of the two who harassed me yesterday since he only had 1 health bar instead of four (or something), so that was nice. Was affected by the griffins in real life too yesterday, since when a shadow passed over me and the dog during our walk I was ready to throw hands until I realized it was just a seagull and it was not planning to fight me. But I would've been ready then. Pow, right on the beak. Ulrika and Daphne are my first blushy people. Hoping it's more of a platonic crush since they are daughter zoned in my eyes. My pawn has commented three times that he's been adventuring in the rift and keeps talking badly about his combat prowess. And like. He's trying okay! Granted I was certain I'd said no to online shenanigans so it might just be the game dissing him. Maybe I should let him go online and see if he gets grabbed by somebody nicer. Or maybe he'll just have even crueller ratings? Or maybe he'll get sick and I'll have to toss him in the river. Dealt with Gregor and his Dullahan adventures. Dullahan kicked my butt and killed Gregor then phased out of existence. Couldn't find Gregors body so stoned out of there and did some business in the Resttown. Saved the boy from the wolves (looked up the cave location because the game was less than helpful and I was annoyed with peeps dying on my watch) then went back to the city. Someone found Gregor and put him in the morgue, along with the other troops which I'm like 99% were alive and not in danger when I left. Alas I only had one Wakestone and sorry peeps but only one of you is named Gregor.
Did check in later and the peeps were gone but not sure if they resurrected or were put in the ground. Been getting better at putting down Ogres, which is nice. They seem to dislike it when I stab pointy things in their heads. Understandable mr Ogre, understandable. Maxed out the Fighter vocation. Tried the Warrior one but the sword was just too slow and no block button so. Am using Magic Spearman vocation now and it's fun. No block but the stabby stab is fast and powerful. Might try out archer or thief, archer since the pawns keep dissing my lack of bow skill and there is some quest connected to it and thief should be a fast stabby stabber. Might even have dodge. And a pic of my Arisen and a side pawn. His name was Cordelia and he was lovely. Her face is tired from all the tanking it did. (✿◡‿◡)

NHL 22
And this is the main reason I do hesitate to turn up the diffiultyh...well side reason. I mean it sounds super ridicilious in a way but did take an L breaking my like 68 game winning streak. But just decided the other thing is do want Pasta to get to one hundred points. I guess the other thing to is its kind of weird how both sports games operate because get plenty of victories for both but since I do not do a lot of real life hockey things/ understand the mechanics (in this case drop passes and good one timers, though I might be starting to barely figure those out) it does make me not want to go past Pro in Hockey and All Pro in Madden. Of course part of the issue to is just do want to have fun, some of that of course is trying to have a balance where close games can be fun and tense, but its also nice occasionally to just beat up on certain teams.
So yeah worse loss in this franchise probably. I think. 7-1 against the Hurricanes. Got so bad I did actually wave the white flag on it and quit to sim the game at 6-1. Hopefully this is not a curse from me saying 'well he'll win a cup' with regards to Thornton from yesterday since that seems to happen a lot, or at least I'm paranoid, but then pracctical reasons got up and started playing right when I got up this morning so I was tired and maybe that effected my defensive skating ability. Krecji got tossed from the game for a 'check from behind to' (honestly that stuff seems so inconsistent sometimes) which probably didn't help. Rimsdyk had the only goal for me for his 38th of the season. And just they got like 2 goals from the five minute major and just from there didn't play defense at all as they just, well skated into my zone on odd man rushes with almost impunity. Though I pathetically put the puck into my own net too which was infuriating since it didn't happen. But I did let it stand.
Next game started off somewhat more of the same and had a wild penalty game. Just I don't know sometimes I don't know if its *me* or the computer or just me pushing things but don't get a lot of penelties for games and games and then all of a sudden start getting them in more heaps, inlcuding a five minute game misconduct from Fredric this time...though interestingly he also had 2 points at the time. So with all that they went up 2-0 early in the first period but I got back into the game on 2 short handed goals back to back. First one forgot who had it but Fredric got it on a rare line change so that let him get open in space and buried a rebound on a snap drive by. Then next face off McAvoy got the puck, after Fredric passed it obviously, breakway, backhand 2-2. Forgot who got the third goal but in the end it ended up tied at 3 going into the third period, so these are the fun pro games. Early on like in the middle of the first shift of the third line change one of those neat plays where Pastranak and Krecji were skating almost move for move as we went by the net. Pasta shot the backhand while being hit, Vasilesky made the save, rebounded right to Krecji who put it in for the one timer his 36th on the year 4-3 Bruins. It would remain that way till late in the third period where this time I wasn't able to do what I did last time, lot more scrambling around so I couldn't execute a plan. But they emptied their net the first time with about 40 secons left, DeBrusk got it in the neutral zone, raced in under pressure so he had no choice but to try a long range back hand which went in for his 21st. Then the idiots pulled Vasilesky while I was still in their zone, sure they had the puck but not for long as I think somehow Foligino had the puck, flipped it to Krecji who buried the final goal of the game...second of the game for him.

GW2
Little Necro Asura is now in Orr. Already. Secured Fort Trinity. I'm not doing all map completion.
I'm already starting to think about story core story. If I do everything or skip some stuff to move forward faster (I can replay it later anyway).
Dragon's Dogma 2
I'm starting to think that I shouldn't have explored so much before doing the main story. The main quests are super short so far. Especially when you can already teleport on the other side of the map...

Revan only appears in Flashpoints; Boarding Party and Foundry. Well, last I played which was a few years ago. Jedi Exile Meetra Surik appears as a force ghost in those same flashpoints. Oh I figured they would show up as Force ghosts since SWTOR takes place 300 years after the KOTOR 2.

They are supposed to be done after you did the 1st planet in Chapter 2 (Balmora for Republic, Taris for Imps). I've done those so many times.

Yea hthat' swh yI ten dt ohav e2 saves on th eg oon Fifa thes eday sIhav ea neas yasv ewher I jus tca nhav efun scorin ggoal san dbeating teams lik e10-0. FFVII Remake - Uninstalled, don't have it in me to NG+/Hard Mode it at the moment, but I'll go through it all + Rebirth some day.
Genshin Impact - Events. But also clearing up my old (back to 2021 content) quest log buildup, and doing Inazuma's World Quests, including one that's timegated on a daily level.
Honkai Star Rail - Everything, though I missed finishing my first events in 2.0 patch.. annoying but at least I missed nothing exclusive for rewards. Done 2.0 main story (as mentioned in above post by Rascoth) and going into 2.1 and a story event when I can. Recent gacha pulling has been GREAT, for both characters and light cones (weapons).
FFVII Ever Crisis - Events and dailies etc, never going too far into challenging content (no EX2+ stages in events, no maxing the battle tower). New story for FFVII campaign is out and I'm taking my time trying to survive its few bosses. Jenova down, two more to go. Character levels and stat streams are in great spot, and materia is fine I guess, so I'm all about weapon upgrade grind and building up manual teams and gameplay on the times that call for it.
That's mostly it. Trying another gacha called Astra, but uh, didn't pick it up recently. Starting Invincible: Atom Eve since it was free on Epic.

Continuing through Banishers. Now that I've opened up the side quest stuff you can really see where the open world design fails this game. I think 75% of my time at this point has been running back and forth because they only allow you to fast travel from and to rest locations. So you spend ALOT of time running around for a quest that would only actually take a few minutes.
I'm still enjoying the game but it's really starting to push its luck with all the back and forth. They really just need to patch in a fast travel from anywhere and that would make it much better.

Star Wars: The Old Republic
I played a bit with my Sith Warrior. I made him with the idea of showing compassion when it is necessary. I am on Balmorra and when dealing with the leader of a group of resistance fighters. My character chose to spare both him and his men although they will be imprisoned. Also the leader has to admit that the Republic illegally sent resistance fighters into Sith space. I went back to the Sith Lord and she was pleased. There was another mission where I had to "silence" the son of a Sith hero. I chose to spare him on the condition that he take an experimental serum that would erase his memory. Last year when I first created this character there was a mission where I had to kill the Sith Governor. One way to get to him was by killing his wife and son. I did not do that instead my character made an alliance with wife and son and with their blessing I killed the patriarch of the family.

Finished Outcast - A New Beginning this weekend after 35 hours. It's a charming recall to a lot of the stuff that made the old one great. Especially the cool 90s vibes main character Cutter Slade and all the other goofy characters with often quite silly dialogues. It's a little too silly at times and the fact that they stuck with the same 90s video game story telling style makes it seem a little oldschool in 2024 at times but if you liked the original Would you recommend it to somebody who hasn't played the first game? It's on my wishlist but I don't actually know what to expect. Should probably watch some gameplay. From what you describe I'm uncertain now. So, in terms of gameplay they are actually pretty different, so there isn't much relation there. In terms of story, Cutter has (of course) lost his memory at the start of Outcast 2, which means you are not required to know anything about the first one. However, I will say that they do reference the first game a lot and I certainly recognized a lot of the background. Not sure how easy it is to make sense of it all if you don't know it./ They do provide a very helpful glossary and character directory though. In fact, the glossary is great because you can press shift during dialogues and an abbreviated version of the "foreign" words used in that dialogue line will be shown on the right side of the screen. Very convenient, especially because, just like in part 1, there are a lot of words in the language of the inhabitants of the other world, which you will learn. This is where the glossary comes in very handy, especially if you don't already know the words from playing Outcast 1. In short, I'd say it should work out but you'll need to pay attention and maybe read some stuff to get everything.

The Exile is only on Republic side FPs (they are named Taral V and Maelstrom Prison, Republic and Imps have a different storyline). They are supposed to be done after you did the 1st planet in Chapter 2 (Balmora for Republic, Taris for Imps). I've done those so many times. These Flashpoints are level locked, so if you are level 38 (I think) you can do both, no matter where in the story you are. You can do the first FP at level 34 or so, but have to level up for unlocking the Story mode of the next. There is a whole long story arc about Revan after the class stories are finished. Chronologically its after Ilum and Makeb, so roughly at level 55-65ish content.

DD2 Did a main quest because I found out it's timed. The game / journal doesn't say anything about it a timed quest. For DD2, it's best to do a search as to whether such and such a quest has a time limit. After that, decided I should explore more of the world. One thing about playing with M&KB, I'll end up hitting the wrong keys because of the awkward placement for jump slash to get at harpies but I'm not interested in playing with a controller because then, I'll have to use a stick to control the camera and that would sometimes make me queasy. Went up north after crossing a bridge at the SW, then came across an ogre battling it out with a wyrm. Avoided the two since the MC isn't ready for the wyrm. He's around level 22. Found some of the ores needed for the higher grade enhancement. I happened to pick up a quest about the Cenotaph at the border town so the NPC was waiting at the spot though I wasn't doing his quest. Since he's there, I decided to do it and went to a ruin fort. After that, continue to explore a the fort and eventually came to this ; image The MC is standing next to the main pawn, a mage. The one nearer the camera is a hired pawn. The other hired pawn, an archer, is standing too far away. The Sphinx. She said it's a bad idea to attack her and offered riddles with rewards. I'll take the riddles.

DD2 Ugh. The fourth riddle is where I pick up the first Seeker token and I don't know. If I can't get it right, the Sphinx riddles end here, no more rewards. Ugh!!! I only remember I picked it up in a barn. sigh Looks like I'll have to look up locations of Seeker tokens and go one by one.

Persona 5 TacticaSummoned Satan \(❁◡ _ ◡❁)/ Because you can't play Persona without doing that now can you? Also finished the game. Or the main story at least. There is some DLC story but not sure if I'll play it or not. Probably but still. Not done with Persona at least, since I started up Persona 3 Reload. So far, so fun. I still don't get why he isn't more bothered by the coffins at the start. Because it's like months until Halloween and I'd be curious what coffin festivities were going on. At least I had fun stomping in the puddles. Splitter splatter. I like the little twerp going "Go on" shoot yourself. No wonder he's wearing jail pyjamas. But it makes a bit more sense having an inner voice guiding you to do that rather than just doing it for the lols. And that smile Always thought Big guy ate the big monster, but he just holds it very dramatically. Go on. Have a nibble. DEVOUR OUR FOES. ABSORB THEIR ESSENCE SO THAT YOU MIGHT RULE. Transformation is cool as heck though. Pun man has the potential to become a villain since I snorted at his "Week-end" pun. Imagine the damage he might do if he lands a good one when I'm taking a sip. Horrors! Forgot how long it takes you to enter Tartar Sauce. And how much time is spent sleeping. All those days I could've spent at the arcade and talking to delinquent kitties! The meow is very cute btw. Also forgot how long it takes to hit the "End". Granted last time I played I was very, very over levelled but like, I almost gave up. Thankfully my slave driving paid off. Guessing it's the same logic as the latest release, go as far and few times as you can so you can spend the rest of the days doing social links and arcade games? I never could max them out without a guide, so figure I should prioritize fun. Not a fan of the twilight shard stuff. Unless they eventually drop in battle or something. Had to bail on two chests and had no chance to use the clock even if I had some cash in my pockets. Not sure how I feel about the new shuffle. Guess it will be handier in the long run. Big fan of the cool strut after battle. Very cool. Very badass. And enjoying the new voices. Was thinking I'd miss Akihiko's old voice but like, new one got me blushing too. Alas. No cute ramen lunches for me. So all in all had fun.
