A friend of mine brought his PS4 and Spider-Man over today and I have to agree with a lot of the comments, I really liked the traversal and I think the free roaming was a lot more fun for me then the progressing the missions. I just wish I didn't get the "I have played so many games like this before" feeling when playing it for I think the elements its has are well done, but I don't feel a draw to go back to it after a session even though I enjoyed playing it.

Players in the east are already reporting, and it seems like the DLC is short, light on story, and heavier on filler (more crimes and challenges, for instance). This is pretty much the opposite of what I’d hoped, but we’ll see how it goes. Here’s a spoiler free vid from #JorRaptor for those interested:

Boy, are the bomb and drone challenges are hard to three star. There are times what I would consider a perfect run through, and I would still be a few thousand points short. Or one time I was three points short of a three star and it was infuriating, because I did that run as perfectly as I could.

Or one time I was three points short of a three star and it was infuriating, because I did that run as perfectly as I could. I do like getting perfect scores, trophies and the like. I generally enjoy challenging myself and improving my skills. Those challenges aren’t at all enjoyable, though. I’m not sure I’ll even make much effort for them. Of all of the elements from the main game that I’d want to return, these weren’t it. The repetitive crime encounters weren’t high on my list, either. The DLC isn’t yet released where I live, so I haven’t played it. The things I’ve read and heard are disappointing. The game needs more story and story missions; not more minutiae and busy work. I’d say, “They can get the next one right”; but the VOs are already recorded and the content in production. Maybe they’ll do better with the sequel. Edit: Speaking of chasing trophies, I’m abandoning my NG+ speed run. I’d rather replay the game properly once I’m in the mood to do so. It’s been fun knocking off the rust, but it feels weird skipping side content that I don’t want to do. I hate the increasingly ridiculous number of icons that are cluttering the map. I have no desire to ever revisit the photo sites, for instance. I’m just going to play the DLCs as they release and then, eventually, I’m sure I’ll replay the game as one whole.

Those type of silly things just aren’t fun for me. The only game I can think of in which challenges were notably fun is Horizon: Zero Dawn. I loved the hunting trials. They were woven into the story well, and employed excellent gameplay mechanics. From a story standpoint, Screwball is probably the last NPC I wanted to see again. Too goofy. From a mechanics standpoint, timed swinging and the like just isn’t my thing. I mentioned before that I’ve been playing on Ultimate. It’s not particularly hard, but it doesn’t bring anything new to the table. Spidey’s just more fragile. That’s it. Pretty uninteresting, and something I’ll only eventually do for the trophy.

The AC series already has most of the mechanics in place, from parkour to the sixth sense. I always tell my wife that AC in modern Manhattan would be Daredevil. I’m frustrated at the moment. I can’t download the DLC. The in-game link takes me to a blank PSN page. Looking it up in the PSN myself leads to a page that says it’s already downloaded. It definitely is not. My “games” page is also useless. I’ve tried checking online regarding a fix, but I guess it’s too soon. All I’m seeing are posts by dumbasses that “couldn’t download” months ago. EDIT: Insomniac is blaming PSN NA. The annoying thing about that, though, is that I’ve downloaded expansions at midnight plenty of times. Also, players in other regions got access at midnight in their time zones. Insomniac or Sony, it’s annoying either way. It didn’t take long for the luster to dull on this game. It’s good but shallow, with no meaningful content outside of the main storyline.

Then again, it might be because I had to change my old password due to forgetting it.

So, I finished the dlc and 100% it. It's incredibly short, but as the first of 3 episodes it's a good start.

The Heist DLC was terrible, in my opinion. It features all of the worst parts of the game while lacking the best parts.
Specifically, we have Screwball and her challenges. It’s like a dope-driven hybrid of The Taskmaster and Screwball. Who thought that Screwball deserved to return? Also returning are the “Stop 5 crimes by X faction per neighborhood”. Ugh. That’s what we call filler content. There’s a lot of filler in this expansion. The main story is short, extremeky predictable and weak. Very disappointing.
There are supposed to be two more episodes. I assume they’ll be in the mold of this one, which sucks. I’d have loved a single, high-quality expansion like we saw with HZD. Three bundles of busy work and filler is just bleh. 🤮
The highlight of the expansion was getting the excellent Scarlet Spider Mk 2 outfit. They could’ve just patched that in and saved me time.

I'll reserve judgment till it's all out, but Screwball is annoying as hell. I don't know if she's like that in the comics, but holy hell she got on my nerves. I don't mind short content, because one of my favorite games is Journey and you can finish that in a evening.

Andrew Waples, Journey is a great game. I wouldn’t mind the brevity of The Heist if it were good quality. It just feels like filler to me. Whenever I get around to my Spidey NG+, I won’t even bother replaying The Heist. I just thought of two more things I didn’t like. That previewed set piece featuring the pursuit through the subway was whack. I can swing and maneuver like a boss, and that bit was finicky as hell. Secondly, what’s up with those new brutes?! Brutes are already a bit absurd, since they can shrug off punches from a dude who can lift a bus/small plane. It’s okay for the sake of variety. These new guys, though, are ridiculous. They carry 20mm Gatling Guns, can shred you in a split second and are very difficult to damage. Who thought brutes needed to be toughened? I’d have preferred something less extreme and more creative.

they have put Spiderman on sale in the playstation store for black friday.
thing is, it's worth to buy the deluxe edition, as it seems it's only the main game with the season pass?
it will include all the dlc?
