The division.
Constant balancing to the game engine that catered to "PVP" players constantly neutered fun set ups for the PVE crowd.
Combine having incredibly stubborn devs with large egos and you have a recipe for a game worse than ME:A

Dragon Age: Inquisition. It's like biower all took a course on how to fuck up stuff that worked well before.

So far MEAMP is the most unstable online game I ever played. (Regarding on PS4 crash error.. I also found that avoiding Vanguards helps a lot. A LOT)
I am over 30 yo now.. and I played video game since I was 5.... so it does say something.

Destiny is not that bad of a game. When they released Taken King, they fixed a lot of the issues with it. So Destiny was bad until about a year after release? Maybe that means there's still hope for Andromeda after all... On topic: -Ubersoldier -STALKER: Clear Sky -Duke Nukem Forever -Star Trek: Legacy -Unreal 2: Awakening -Doom 3 -Fallout 4 -The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion -Far Cry 2 -Far Cry 3 -NO MAN's SKY -The Bureau: XCOM Declassified -Dead Space 3 -Crysis 2 -Dragon Age II -Dragon Age: Inquisition -Endless Space -Dungeon Siege III -Hitman: Absolution -Lost Planet 1, 2 -Murdered: Soul Suspect -Rage -Unreal Tournament 3 -Warhammer 40K: Space Marine -Demonicon These are all games I've played (and completed at least once! Well except for No Man's Sky and Far Cry 2 that is), in which I just had less fun than with Mass Effect: Andromeda. Then again I STILL think ME:A is great , and a lot of those games were pretty fun anyway. Far Cry 3? :rage:

Far Cry 2 sukd so bad...the constant non-stopping respawns of enemies on the roads is what killed it for me. Drive 20 feet, get attacked by a group...kill that group....drive 40 feet, get attacked by another group.

This is a close call, but Gears of War 4 is the closest recent comparison I can make.
Both SP campaigns are bad fanfics with green heros and slapstick attitudes. Both MP modes feature random crashes, as well as general ineptitude on the part of the developers (MEA in regards to bugs and balances, GoW4 in regards to NO BACKFILL WHEN SOMEONE DROPS OUT OF A MATCH WHICH BTW IS 50 WAVES LONG).
I'm really unsure which is better or worse, but both were disappointing.

Repetitive environments, even more loot chests than in The Witcher 3's Skellige, boring crafting mechanic, boring minor quests, most overrated antagonist ever, annoying protagonist, for a game where every action you do is streamlined, it offers you a 'choice' in the end, one that doesn't really make a lot of sense even. It had good graphics for it's time, and the driving around and exploring bit is fun at first. The storyline is interesting, and yes that Jar-dude is kind of interesting too, but he says like 5 lines until you have to off him halfway the game, and have to go after the 'true' bad guy who's some generic white dude? I also enjoyed those ruins sidequests. The filler-content was Ubisoft-bad, as in worse than Dragon Age: Inquisition's filler content. Okay maybe I stepped out of line. Perhaps Far Cry 3 isn't worse than Mass Effect: Andromeda MULTIPLAYER, which is the whole point of this topic. And I never cared enough to multiplay Far Cry 3...

It had co-op which many games today are lacking. The fact that certain parts where Carver hallucinates causing your team mate to 'see' different things was awesome! Fully customized weapons = good too. I played it what? 4 times? Once alone, three times co-op with different friends on different difficulties. Dead Space 3 was alright indeed. I didn't even mind that it was less 'scary' than it's prequels. The problem I had with it is that it was MADE for co-op, which showed all those numerous times you got locked in some dark room and overrun for the nth time by necromorphs. I never had the pleasure to co-op it. So I SP'd it, AND enjoyed it (I never said all those games were crap, some were, but not all of them. I just like MEAMP better than those games). I found the lore and the Tau Volantis stuff really interesting in part 3, it's one of the few things that were improved over 1 and 2. I also loved the cliffhanger in the otherwise really uninteresting DLC.

Far cry 3 was pretty good. Oblivion was amazing. Oblivion had plenty of good stuff to do in the game. But I found it less appealing than Morrowind. Yes I think Skyrim is even much better. I hated the respawning enemies everywhere in FC2, and the Malaria-mechanic. I loved Shadows of Chernobyl, and I liked the first part of Clear Sky, especially the graphics, but after the swamp part it went down with the fun for some reason. And the factions were a nice idea which worked like shit. Call of Pripyat redeemed a lot though.

It is really different when you co-op and what more some areas are co-op only You're right on the note that DS3 wasn't as jump scare as 1 and 2. I think 1 was the scariest.

I Am Alive. Ubisoft talked it up a bunch but failed to mention that it was being made by Ubisoft Shanghai which had previously only done ports of existing games. When it went over schedule and over budget they slapped a thick blanket of fog over the entire game so we couldn't see how fuck ugly and unfinished it was and sold it to try and recoup their losses. Very literally the worst game I have ever played. And I have been gaming since the early 80's.

And Rage... Oh my god what a piece of trash that game was if you happened to have (and I had unfortunately by that time) an ATI graphics card. Artifacts all over the place, textures completely fucked up, popping of textures every-fucking-where (mind you, that was a thing for both ATI and NVIDIA). Game had great gameplay, though story was like the new DOOM's story: nowhere to be found.

It's hard to compare ME:A to most games because most of it's problems can be fixed easily. It's just numbers in the code and a lot of testing. Aliens colonial marines would have required a complete game redesign to be fixed. Lol, no. The weapon and power damage can be fixed easily. The enemy damage and health, the same. The nomad is a giant waste of money, and they sure as hell can't fix the fact it's in the game where you already have fast travel and 'seamless' loading and universal jet packs. That the nomad is used to traverse completely empty yet full arted up literal empty space cannot be 'fixed'. The writers not really getting krogan and salarians right can't be fixed easily (at all) The guns themselves are pretty much as you're going to get them, while they can tweak the performance, the in-engine attributes are pretty much locked. The fact the money spent on the nomad can't be used for something like say letting the pathfinder be any race sure can't be fixed. Mapping in frostbite is a logistical throughput concern so little tiny maps with rather glaring exploit zones are rather unlikely to get fixed, either. The input and state lag isn't going be an easy fix either, because it took DICE LA a purpose tasked dedicated team months and months and finally after a year they got things into shape where the game was tolerable across any system and finally the game worked like it was advertised to. Does Montreal have a 30 person Frostbite network and engine optimization and fuckuppery fix team? I'm pretty sure they don't. Are they gonna pass of all the engine and network concerns back to Edmonton so they stop working on Dylan and start working on this to get it right? For a year? No heavy or chain melee on existing characters sure isn't a numbers issue. They can easily fix TTK and weapon throughput with numbers, and that's about all they can easily fix. The drops, the lag spikes, the bluesceening on win10(just.. wow), the fact they don't even have a system in place to identify several types of session cheating, that stuff isn't a number on a serverside database.

I really liked DAI, one man's trash... DAI single player was not bad at all provided that you don't do menial tasks of collecting something somewhere and too much crafting. The experience was memorable in a good sense. It was quite polished right from the start. The DLCs were also mostly OK. It had creative enemies, beautiful dungeons and most important, it was stable. Multiplayer is another story though. But even in DAIMP, enemies were more interesting and had more tactical variety than in MEA.

That game was awful but... it had a rather good dark and engaging story and the story was told well. So, I was able to finish it eventually. It was a struggle but I don't consider it annoying or dull. FO4, while also on your list, is actually very good with mods that fix major annoyances.

Division! That I can agree with. Game had so much potential, but not being able to interact with others in the open world really left such a beautiful map lifeless. The Dark Zone was a failed experiment they just can't seem to let go of. Weapons are pretty boring and several powers/traits powers rival Andromedas in uselessness. Enemies are the biggest bullet sponges I've ever seen, even worse than MEA. Shotgunners one shotting people across the map. And it's been a buggy mess from the beginning. It's a shame, too, because the game had a great atmosphere and I enjoyed running around the City, which was eerily beautiful. And for the record, I love FO4, before and after modding, but Fallout is my favorite series ever, so I'm a bit biased. Destiny always had solid game play, but it was pretty glitch free and your characters felt bad ass. Enemies were smart with varied and unique abilities and different tactics. Most, except for a few elite units and bosses, aren't bullet sponges, and even many of those could be dropped faster using the right weapon. It was just light on content at first. Taken King was a huge improvement to the game and they've steadily made it better since then. Already have Destiny 2 pre ordered.
