Thursday, 11/7/19 Week 10 My picks Los Angeles Chargers (4-5) @ Oakland Raiders (4-4) _____ CHARGERS The Chargers have had an overall weak performance this season. SEAHAWKS 27 49ERS 24 "Probably the craziest game I've ever played in." - @dangerusswilson Despite Russell Wilson getting sacked 4 times (Jimmy G was sacked 5 times), a stunning double fumble play, Tyler Lockett on the sideline with an injured leg, and Russell Wilson throwing a pick in the red zone, the Seahawks handed the 49ers their first defeat of the season. WR Josh Gordon is a wonderful addition to the team. He couldn't have come at a better time. Former Texan DE Jadeveon Clowney acquired in Sept 2019 also really stood out tonight. I'll add more credits later.

GB @ SF got flexed from evening to Sunday Night.
'Glad we have an extra week to prep and rest up, 'should be a good game! I can't remember the last time we were in such good shape heading into the bye: 8-2, comfy lead over the division, few injuries to speak of.
I also have classes with a big '9ers fan and we talk about the last Sunday's games when we see each other every week so... it's on! lol

Late with this, but Cowboys had a chance to win that Vikings game at the end there and chose to run Elliot when that dude was getting waxed all night...Dak actually played well all night even tho Elliot was getting stuffed...that night it was the "D" that couldn't stop anything.....but that critical drive at the end there? (close to the vikings goal line?...near the 11th yard line? I was watching a vid on youtube describing what Dallas did on those sets...long story short...the Vikings stacked the box with 6 guys on the front line...dallas only had 4 guys on the line with no TE's for extra protection for the run...so there was ALWAYS a guy being unblocked on those plays while they had everybody else out receiving....watching it...i was like "wow" why didn't Garret adjust his scheme?....just kept trying to force Elliot and on play schemes that was doomed to fail due to him not adding extra protection on the ends there...so Elliot kept getting waxed... It was 3rd and 2 which made sense to try and get 2 yards running it, but the way the play was designed was doomed from the start due to poor design...lol the center even walked off the field yelling at the sideline for drawing up that play...just poor coaching....sometimes it isn't the players...just the coaching plays/ schemes.....i don't think Dak is quite there yet as far as calling audibles and reading plays at critical moments, but maybe somebody with a wee bit more experience would have seen the flaw and audible out of it. Hard to say if the guys in Dallas would allow him to do that tho....

Browns 21 Steelers 7
Three ejected after nasty brawl tarnishes end of Steelers-Browns
For those who watched the game, a good one, was overshadowed by a stupid player doing a stupid act. I don't know what punishment Myles Garrett will get, likely suspended for the rest of the season, but for me, after seeing what he did, I would ban him from playing again. The other thing is could he be charged with intent to injure/maim a person for using the helmet as weapon?

I don't put the full blame on Garret...Rudolph was clearly tugging at Garrets helmet first and Garret's neck was turned in an awkward position by Rudolph when they was on the ground. He could've injured Garret's neck/spine from that position (he grabbed his helmet with both hands and twisted his head)....everybody is jumping down Garret's neck...i stopped the film frame by frame when they was on the ground and Garret's was probably fueled by anger thinking this guy was trying to injure him.
Furthermore after Garret ripped off his helmet, Rudolph is seen being the aggressor and pressing towards Garret...now i don't feel criminal charges should be employed since i feel at this point adrenaline is acting on the parts of both players, but Garret should have tossed the helmet or dropped it at the very least...i think it was just a reaction to Rudolph approaching him...nothing here was intentional...it was just a fight between two players that got out of hand.
I don't want to make light of the scenario, because if Garret hits Rudolph at another angle or with the crown of the helmet?...Garret could be facing manslaughter charges if he would have died from that blow.....i don't like how everybody is giving Rudolph a pass here tho....dude was clearly being the aggressor after two Steeler players was holding Garret back...Garret was actually back-peddling to avoid the conflict....at that point imo Rudolph was already vertical and probably should have stopped there...nobody was holding him back and again he went towards Garret to escalate the situation.
Ugly scenario all around tho and cooler heads need to prevail in these situations...Browns had the game won so there was no need for Garret to be so overly aggressive in his initial takedown of Rudolph.

I imagine miles suspension will carry over Into next year (as it should). Rudolph wasn't innocence but he wasn't the one swinging an object at an exposed skull.
While pouncey didn't "need" to throw the punches and kicks that he did, I can't fault team mates instinctively going after someone trying to hurt their guys like that (hell I probably would've been ready to fight too). So while I myself wouldn't have given pouncey a suspension, I get the league has to for reasons. Not a good image on a national televised game.

The fight happened so fast. I was gapping at the screen and I could hardly believe what I was seeing. By the time players have reached the NFL, you would expect them to have become disciplined enough not to completely lose control like this. Fights are one thing but this clearly crossed a line. Myles Garrett could have severely injured or even killed Mason Rudolph. There was a lot of blame to go around, but nothing to excuse what Myles Garrett did, IMHO. Myles Garrett suspended for Steelers vs. Browns fight: Helmet swing, fallout, player reactions, more to knowwww.cbssports.com/nfl/news/myles-garrett-suspended-for-steelers-vs-browns-fight-helmet-swing-fallout-player-reactions-more-to-know/

frosted, I'm expecting Russell Wilson to clown my Eagles' defense this upcoming Sunday. Injuries or no, 5-5 is a disappointing record, with 5-6 looming. A lot of guys have underperformed for an offense that was supposed to be explosive. A once dominant O-Line is showing age. Half the skill players can't catch. (NFL's highest drop-rate.) Some guys are getting old. I feel like the Eagles need to restock. I know they want to "win now", but I don't think they're good enough to do so with this roster. They need to add younger talent in numerous position groups. They're a talented team, but probably not as much so as the front office would like to believe. Recognizing the real deal now might encourage fewer over-the-hill FA acquisitions and better drafting.

If I've learned anything about football, it's to be wary of assuming anything. My Seahawks are sitting at 8-2, but we've had some REALLY close calls. I'm optimistic, though. The Eagles will rebuild and be great again. I couldn't understand why they didn't try harder to retain more of their 2018 team. They were awesome!

Does anyone have any idea what's going on with the Atlanta Falcons? They're only sitting at 3-7 but they've beaten 2 decent teams in a row. After a series of losses, they beat the Saints 2 weeks ago and then they beat the Panthers last week. Kyle Allen's Panthers, who have done fairly well. I don't track the Falcons. What's up?

I give up on the Lions this year. Spent all of that money on the defense and they're almost the worse defense in the league!!!!!! At least the offense is holding up their end, even with a backup quarter back. I hate the home team, which is why I usually have favorites in other divisions.

Only the Lions can make poor teams looks good. Hmmm idk, the Redskins didn't exactly beat them by much, heck our qb was taking selfies with the fans on the kneel down play so they had to put keenum out there to kneel it 😂, Haskins needs to work on being more focused on the game and I really don't like him do far based off everything I've seen, he really needs years of work before I can even feel ok with him even starting Honestly.

lol Packer fans are unironically talking about firing LaFleur and/or Pettine and/or Gutekunst (GM) and/or Murphy (President).
Spoilt fanbase.
Yeah, that game and our effort on offense were disappointing, but I am not gonna get apocalyptic about it lol. 8-3, just gotta play good football from here on out.

So called fans talking about firing coaches who have only been on the team for a short period of time are morons. LaFleur wasn't playing quarterback and only produced 8 points for the entire game. Same goes with these idiots saying fire Patricia from the Lions. Its only his second year, it takes time to build a team back up. He's trying to bring the New England philosophy to the team and it looks like there is still resistance from some of the players. These lazy millionaires need to give it their 100%.
As much as I despise the Patriots, I still respect Belichik's coaching style. He demands 100% from his people. If you don't give it to him, you won't be a Patriot. That's why they are contenders year after year.
