What sort of stories involving Spirits/Demons would you like to see in future games? Some of my suggestions: 1. Command Abomination
At some point in the game the PC visits the fade and receives an offer from a Spirit of Command. In exchange for allowing it to possess you, but not control you (think Wynne), it will give you it's powers of command to aid in your pc main quest as it wants to experience commanding the physical world through you. It will not attack you if you reject the offer. In game effects of accepting include: - Special persuade dialogue options related to command/leadership
- Able to get more people to side with you (larger amount of troops if you have an army for example)
- One major pc will not trust you because you are possessed.
So a possessed pc may have greater forces but not be able to get a powerful and useful individual on side. A pc who rejected the offer would have less forces but can get that indivdual. 2. School of ArtThe pc is sent to an art school to find the quest-givers missing son/daughter/lover whatever. The building is full of demons that the pc must defeat or bypass, due to that nature of the place it is primarily filled with Desire, Purpose, Envy, Passion etc. The pc can talk to several spirits including: - Muse, a passion/purpose spirit who is possessing/partnered with a willing painter. They will offer to help the pc and had already been coexisting peacefully before the school fell into chaos.
- Obsession, a desire demon responsible for a lot of the death by driving students/teachers to pursue what they desire till death (eg. painting until they starve)
- and Jealousy an envy demon who started the mess by possessing the npc you were sent to recover.
There are multiple ways of dealing with each of these characters, violent and nonviolent (eg. Obsession might offer the location of the person your looking for in exchange for you leaving them alone, you could reject Muse's offer of help and attack them etc.), but there are other demons in the school who'll just attack you on sight.
What sort of spirit storylines would you like to see?

I remember reading that sometimes when you have a really high fever, you experience really weird dreams.
I wonder if that's true in Thedas? And I wonder what sorts of spirits handle that?

I want to see demons who are good people or at least morally gray. It would be also interesting to romance a female spirit, which would be mage gated.

Would be interesting to meet more undercover shades, like Cole or Lord Woolsley. I'm half-convinced that most of Kirkwall's residents stumbled across the thin Veil, which is why they have such terrible manners. I'd love to play as a shade at some point, but not sure other players would go for that.
If we can peek at Nevarra, seeing a necropolis might be fun. I'd be interested to see what the spirits think of that whole arrangement.
We're due to meet the Formless One in this game, aren't we? I want to meet the Formless One. I'd also like to meet Xebenkeck again, ideally under more peaceful circumstances than "hi I just wrecked your library", but I suspect we aren't going to see previous Forbidden Ones until the we've seen them all individually.
Also, if the Horned Knight could show up in game I might die of happiness. I know he's doing his thing in the woods of Serault, but he's my favorite character from Last Court. I want to catch up with that weird, passive aggressive gift-giving bastard. And accept all his gifts. Chantry Greatly Disapproves
Kal-Sharok is close to Tevinter, isn't it? The profane have been interesting so far, I'd like to meet more. The connection between the Fade and the Stone seems important.
Spirits who have seen the northern continent. Okay, anyone who's seen the northern continent, but the Fade seems like one of the possible routes. I assume the Fade is shared between the continents? On a similar vein, spirits with any info about the Void.

I just want to see demons as clever opponents. Especially demons of Pride and Desire. Their strengths aren't just in physical power, but in being able to lure people into acting against their own interests. They are manipulators, seducers, and tempters.
Also, I'd like to see abominations and the truly great threat we keep being told they are, but rarely actually see. Something with the powers of both a mage and a demon.
That's one thing I thought was really missing in DAI's stories. All these rifts in the Fade, all these demons running around loose, but rarely do we see them as anything but cannon fodder before closing a rift. Even Pride demons were just extra-strong rift guardians.

Honestly? Male Desire demons. Topless. With suggestive trousers. If dudes can their eye candy, why can't we have some too? But on another note I would prefer something along the line of Iakus and Iddy. I want to see demons/spirits as tempters, but not just for the sake of being good/evil. If I could find a pride demon who encouraged the skill within soldiers, or a desire demon who has taken an interest in a Chantry orphanage, I would be happy. I'm not saying they have to be good, but I do want more than demons='bwahahaha monsters' when it comes to spirit encounters.

I don't mind demons being "bwahahahaha monsters" Or at least being so alien that all but the strongest minds cause Sanity Slippage for their "masters". But it can be done in such a way that they are more than just muscle who desire blood and death. I'd like to see demons acting with such subtlety that it's not immediately obvious that there's anything supernatural going on. Where they offer something that's genuinely tempting in exchange for a little moral compromise. I'd like to see a mage who's an abomination and doesn't even realize it.

Honestly? Male Desire demons. It's only fair! I'd love to see more neutral-looking desire/purpose spirits, too, since only a small fraction of them actually specialize in sex. Although, come to think of it, Command might have been a desire/purpose spirit.

I want to see more unique demons, like the Baroness or the Nightmare.
And desire demons, as well. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) —male or female, I don't care.

I mean, seeing the Nightmare again would also be really cool. It had such an interesting character motivation that barely got touched. A lot of the memories trapped in the Fade seemed like legitimately traumatic ones. While the whole "enslaving the wardens so Corypheus could raise a demon army" thing was... not ideal, it seemed like it was still helping people, on the side. Its schedule for the day was probably something like 08:00 - strengthen the false Calling 09:00 - fill the warden-commander with doubt 10:00 - work on evil laugh 11:00 - plot with Corypheus 12:00 - soothe Billy and Lydia of their PTSD 13:00 - workshop taunts for Hawke and Loghain 14:00 - help Florian forget his father's death by darkspawn 15:00 - send demons to Adamant

I want to see the Remorse demon to round off the known demons in the game but I also want all the demons to return like desire and sloth. While demons like Sloth and Hunger I want to have updated forms so they dont look alike or look like shades.
I also want more Spirits in game with unique appearances. Being in a place where mages rule it would be cool to see more interactions with the good Spirits while also giving them unique appearances themselves

I don't agree with making them grey. Often grey ends up meaning bland. I want them single-minded and charismatic.
It would be nice to see Qunari killing or lobotomizing innocent people they think are possessed or dealing with demons. Like real life witch hunts. Humans in chains with their mouth sewn shut Qunari-style (maybe former Tevinter citizens).
Tevinters could take advantage of good spirits, thus corrupting them. For example, a Tevinter could send slaves to the fade every night to be brain-washed by spirits of faith to ensure obedience.
Seconding what iakus said concerning abominations. Fewer and stronger. Uldred-level entities. No more mages becoming abominations when someone looks at them funny.

For example, a Tevinter could send slaves to the fade every night to be brain-washed by spirits of faith to ensure obedience. Seconding what iakus said concerning abominations. Fewer and stronger. Uldred-level entities. No more mages becoming abominations when someone looks at them funny. They ARE single-minded, their purpose could be gray, and their purpose determines them. Not mentioned, that the "white" purpose can get dirty, from the tool, and/or the judgment of people (depend on the aspect). For example Justice. How single-minded he is, but the border between justice and vengeance mostly blurred enough (an execution: justice or revenge?), and if I want to enforce the justice for a group of people, I can hurt people, who have contrary/neutral interests. In the case of Justice: when he tried to give justice to the mages, he did hurt many people: templars, guards, civilians, and yes, mages too. So: the unjust was clear, his goal was clearly "white", but the final conclusion could be controversial, always depends on who's the judge.

I am really hoping we get to go to Rivain at some point or at least have more significant involvement of the Rivaini. I want to see the seers who speak with spirits and call on them regularly. It would also be interesting if some major NPC or leader from Rivain turns out to be an abomination but friendly, so the PC has to decide whether to force the mage to relinquish the spirit or risk losing allies.
I also want to know if the DA2 subplot of putting demons into non-mages will ever go anywhere or if that was a one time thing.

Yeah, saarebas are considered corrupted as soon as they leave their karataam, so I don't see them taking chances with outsiders. But it's possible to see sarebaas from non-qunari, as long as they're raised in the Qun before their magic manifested.
