Oh I overlooked that. When was that? The only one I rememember right now is from Asunder (Evangeline). But I'm pretty sure I saw it mentioned somewhere else as well. Ah yes, that's true. And I don't remember/can't be bothered to look up whether anyone in Rivaini and Avvar cultures have friendly spirit possession for any non-mages or not. I think both cultures are friendly towards spirits but don't recall if anyone other than magical leadership actively engages with spirits.

Well, first and foremost, bring back Desire Demons. I felt they were a very glaring omission. And Imshael does not count.
Fear Demons, in my opinion, are the coolest design for demons that Bioware has come up with so I'd like to see them return if only for the look. By contrast I never want to see terror or despair demons again - terror demons are impossible to take seriously, they're silly not scary. And despair demons are just a lazy design.

I think possession of non-mages is supposed to be pretty rare. It's that strong link to the Fade that puts mages at risk

I think possession of non-mages is supposed to be pretty rare. It's that strong link to the Fade that puts mages at risk I get the impression that spirits go for mages because they're easier to find. If I'm a spirit on the flip side of the Veil, I'm seeing a deeply confusing landscape. If I try to possess "mysterious blob of matter that doesn't appear in the Fade", I'm liable to end up accidentally possessing a tree (sylvans), some rocks (profane), or maybe a corpse (revenants and emissaries). If by some miracle I manage to land in a person, medieval societies have like a 10:1 ratio of "peasants" to "someone who can actually help me experience the world". Homing in on mages increases the chance of possessing something (1) living and (2) interesting. It seems like super powerful spirits have an easier time distinguishing things outside the Fade, so they don't have to make a beeline for mages. Hakkon can identify dragons (or maybe his worshippers help him). I assume that spirits would much rather possess dragons than random mages - I certainly would! It's also possible there's some confirmation bias on the part of the Chantry. If someone ends up possessed, Andrastians will just assume they were a mage. It's not like they can confirm, because abominations are killed on discovery, and the spirit is going to give them magic-ish powers anyway.
