I don’t think that’s likely either. I was just thinking of other races we know lived underground. Well, we also know about this weird encounter of one of Renn's people (one about hairless children chasing nugs, golden longboat and huge skeleton on a throne), we still don't know whether Sandal is just lyrium-addled, we now know of activity of elves in Deep Roads as well as the whole 'dwarves can't be taller without the Titan' (OGB comment) and were probably significantly different when they were still closely connected (Valta's journal makes mention of her changing). There are also these ominous statues that we see both in Primeval Thaig and then Heidrun Thaig - and one of them shows up in the Fade in DAI and is called "Dumat's Claws", which I suspect may be connected to something dark and primordial. The only thing this calls to mind are the journals you find during the Decent dlc, and the creatures that attacked the dwarves there. As for the thaig, two of them are mentioned as existing before the blight. One belonged to a family who were the sole suppliers of lyrium that just shut their doors and vanished. The other being the one you mentioned, containing temples and large statues as well as creatures never seen before. To me it sounds like the Decent as well and the area surrounding the titans heart or close to it (there were no darkspawn where he found the idol and the idol itself was of dwarven make). I dont take the line about things only magic could have made too literally. The dwarves don’t remember being connected to the titans and theres no telling what magic like things they could create back then. Any ‘modern’ dwarf would attribute fantastical things to actual magic. I don’t rule out that it could have been something else though. It’s fun to think about.

Knowing what we know now, I think Solas was trying to offer a theory that would seem plausible but still vague enough that he didn't give too much about himself away. Also, at this time our characters don't know that there's any connection between red lyrium and the blight. We get an idea later on when Corypheus attacks Haven that somehow Corypheus is using red lyrium but I don't think there's any actual confirmation until we talk with Bianca. Solas probably knows but as I said he can't really come out and say that without a lot of questions about how he knows. What I find interesting is that red lyrium wasn't a thing until Hawke brought the idol up from the Deep Roads (I had to stop myself from typing Underdark lol). What I also find interesting is that unlike blue lyrium, red lyrium can be grown from pretty much any living creature although I imagine it's the Blight that enables it to do that. I generally agree that he's tried to keep things vague or make it seem more like 'oh, I'm just guessing *hard wink*' though it's still interesting that he "loudly muses" whether magic may have corrupted the lyrium, given that lyrium is pretty much literally magic. He later call lyrium 'the source of all magic, save that which mages bring themselves'. So red lyrium is... er... an excess of magic? Perhaps what he means by this is that there's some sort of imbalance - that the blast of magic that ripped the Temple Of Sacred Ashes had enough force to shake up some sort of delicate internal structure that has left it wide open to either corruption or a positive feedback loop of doom. Or perhaps it's a fact that large quantities of lyrium got exposed from underground? I don't really recall any significant deposits of normal lyrium anywhere close to the surface and the one dwarves mine and bring on the top has either already been processed or extracted, and thus separated, from its vein. Perhaps this is also why Solas was in such a panic and haste to bury that ancient lyrium mine from Trespasser? Perhaps exposure of large quantities of lyrium, still attached to its source, could result with Titans (and whatever else is buried with them) waking up and potentially breaking their binds? But Evanuris got too greedy and wanted to mine more lyrium, thus exposing more of it to air/Fade, and thought less and less of risks that come with it? Anyhoo, I've always found the lack of lyrium and continuous escalation of events (and past increasingly coming to haunt the present) as a sort of confirmation that things are coming to a head, and not just necessarily in strictly narrative sense. I still maintain that Solas acts as if he's running out of time before *something* happens, which is why he seemed to have hastened his awakening (despite waking from Uthenera still weak) and gave Corypheus the orb. Not a thing on the surface no, but codex entries about two forgotten thaigs in DA2, found in the Primevil thaig, mention a staff made of unknown material that was sealed, as well a second idol with no hints of what they did with it. It was found on a blighted scavenger and they couldn’t retrace his steps because of the darkspawn. We learn from Valta that the Shaperate strikes things from the memories they don’t like so them erasing things about red lyrium wouldn’t surprise me. And when Hawke touches the idol to pick it up there seems to be a barrier or sorts, weakened by time maybe. There is also the profane codex stating that they were forgotten, left trapped underground. They cried out for justice but were ignored, forced to eat from the gods and trapped in silence for aeons. Makes them sound like elves to me, since the titans would have spoken to them if they were dwarves. I'm not entirely sure they would - after all, look what happened to Sha-Brytol. They have literally lived inside a Titan (potentially ever since their ancestors have discovered it, which must've been a very long time ago) and revered it as some sort of divinity, yet the Titan didn't care about them. It only really cared about Valta, who herself had a strong Stone sense and was established as a character with strong will and solid moral backbone. She has also managed to reach its heart close enough to establish a connection. That doesn't mean that those living in Primeval thaig weren't elves (or distinction between races may not have mattered as much at the time?), I just don't think that 'they couldn't be dwarves, otherwise Titans would reach to them' can establish that. Maybe that was because they injected the lyrium and Valta didn’t? Maybe the titans don’t approve of it. I wouldnt if it was my ‘blood’. lol And I didn’t mean that elves lived there, just that they were trapped when Solas separated the fade. They were starving and had to eat lyrium to survive, or so the codex implies. Ancient elven miners perhaps, bringing lyrium to the surface?

A question for those better with lore and overall memory: replaying the game yet again and something Solas says at the beginning has been bothering me. He says that magic could have drawn on lyrium beneath the temple, corrupting it. I figure this is referring to Corypheus and him tainting it with the blight. And I’ve also seen theories of there being a blighted Titan but...couldn’t this mean that the ancient elves/Gods contracted the blight somehow and when using the Titans /they/ corrupted them? In doing so causing the Titans to become angry (earthquakes and such) and that’s why they had to be killed/sealed? Not to mention the red lyrium found in the fade where the elven gods are sealed. Or maybe the elves were the first to corrupt the lyrium idol? If it was a key between the dwarves and the Titans? In the mural for the DA4 teaser it seems that Solas is opposing his desires as Fen’harel to seal the idol away. Or keep it sealed if there are more than one. Sorry if this has been brought up before. I had a crush on Cullen since DA:O and was thrilled to hear he'd be a romance in Inquisition. Made a pretty mage (fav class) and eagerly started playing.
Then Solas chuckled. Then kept talking. That voice just...I didn't get past the Hinterlands before I started over and my human got abandoned then later deleted. 9 playthroughs later and it's still Solas.
Also rolled a male Inky for the first time in a Bioware game just for Dorian. I hate playing as a guy if I have a choice so the fact that I enjoyed it immensely is quite a feat. Can't wait to hear what becomes of both my pairs in the future.

In the prima guide there are 200 secondary ops listed if that helps any. That incudes Allies, Additional tasks and Heleus assignments that become listed in completed missions.

If i remember correctly she's on the north east side of the map. Not at home atm or I'd check. Jaal convinces her to join. I wanna say near that Monolith. As for the sniper thing and mines, there were sooooo many over a wide area. Took me forever. Appreciate that. I'll hop over to Kadara again and see if I can pinpoint her location. I would kindly ask when you do arrive home, if you could maybe check and verify that for me, that would greatly appreciated. The forward station south of the outpost. Fast travel to it and to the right-ish you'll see a tall red mushroom tree thing. Follow the dirt road up a hill and you'll see her barricade at the bottom once you round a slight corner coming down.

My thing is I'm 35 so playing with characters so young is a bit off putting. Just a bit though. I keep in mind that they're still learning and Liam is no execption. He wants to help but seems to expect results right then. Life doesn't work that way. A smidge of Garrus in him in that regard. I just couldn't follow half of what he said. lol He didn't really click with me but I don't dislike him.

Okay, so I found the resistance fighters to recruit on Voeld and Elaaden, but not Kadara. I do remember a female voice over my intercom saying something like "Don't come any further," and finding her barricaded up; however, I don't recall where exactly that was. That was many, many missions ago and my memory sucks lol. Also, does hidden caches count towards completion? Because I've gotten all but one; the bugged cache in New Tuchanka. Oh, and those mines at the Remnant site on Voeld (Strange Beacon) don't ping, and are unscannable. I've driven around that site and area for over an hour with the text "Sweep minefield to escape" still showing. So as far as I'm concerned, it's now bugged and can't be completed unless Bioware patches that quest. If i remember correctly she's on the north east side of the map. Not at home atm or I'd check. Jaal convinces her to join. I wanna say near that Monolith. As for the sniper thing and mines, there were sooooo many over a wide area. Took me forever.

I can't count how many times I just wanted to hop on board to check an e-mail and had to leave the planet, run to my console, and then fly back to the planet. Good thing fuel isn't scarce. And that far into the future and they don't have portable e-mail reading capabilities? They could have had it pop up like the scanning screen. Ryder should be able to read email via the Omni Tool, or at least the Forward Stations, since they have a terminal... And sometimes you get a Research Station on them and sometimes not. Maybe SAM implant could forward the email or even recite it? But then again, I thought SAM would be able to solve those Sudoku puzzles too. Apparently there some severe limitations to AI implants. A beep to let you know via omni tool would have been fine. Forward stations too. Plus I can't help but laugh that all of these people keep sending e-mails that are never replied to. Shepard had the same syndrome. Don't send a quick response, instead I'm gonna fly to the system you're in and give you my answer in person. Some of the smaller missions could have done that instead of having me run back and forth ten times. And I'm just nitpicking. Three playthroughs in and I can't help but wish for things that make it easier on me.

Strike console is bugged all to heck for me. If I complete a mission, the exp pop up screen won't go away. I can click R1 and still cycle the options but the team option won't let me pick new missions with the screen still there. Have to use the app or do it through MP and that works fine.
Also leveled my strike team to 20 through the app and never recieved the trophy.

I get slow motion when I exit the research console on the Tempest. For some reason running into the loadout room on the bridge fixes it. PS4
The only planet I've had the issue on is Kadara, after the patch.

I think one of my favorite things is the fact that pretty much everyone you talk to on Kadara is told to treat you with respect. Don't know if it's to that same degree if you don't romance him but it makes the romance sweeter.
I'd like him to come back as a companion and have to explore the corruption in the collective. Like the ones in the holding cell beating the prisoners, "What the boss doesn't know won't hurt him." Made me think of Inquisition and Trespasser. Reyes will have to deal with that at some point or risk losing complete control. Would give us a chance to really explore where he draws the line.

I didn't realize there's supposed to be dynamic stuff going on in Vortex. I've had a bald human woman with her omni tool on just staring at nothing. Same for me the entire game. Ps4.

Wanted to add my voice and support for this amazing character/romance. Treasure every second with him. Actually romanced Jaal on my first pt but the second Reyes spoke I knew I'd made a huge mistake. I love in game relationships where it's clear that the love is there but something can get in the way. Jaal's was too sweet for me. Such a nerd but did not fit with my Ryder at all. Reyes is now my only romance. Really hope to see more of him in the future.
A question though, is there a noticable difference if you don't take the kiss interrupt during the whiskey taking scene? I can never bring myself to not take it. lol

I personally loved the game and wish I could tell them so. I've started my third playthrough even with the issues and don't regret paying full price. Plan on buying it a second time on disc. That article doesn't speak for everyone. They seem to genuinely care about fixing it, to me that's all that matters. You can. It's called twitter I hate it and Facebook equally. Besides, not enough room with that character limit.

I'm currently at Kadara's vault and can't interact with the console to activate it. Cora and Peebee wont holster their weapons even with no enemies. I love this game to pieces but it does get annoying at times. Glad a patch is on the way to help things. This also happened to me and I had to reload a save and do that fight over again. It worked after I reloaded a save. Yeah, did the same after dying and jumping out of bounds didnt work. They kept acting like there was an enemy stuck in the floor. lol

I only just started with Jaal's loyalty questline, but he's such a sweetheart, holding that dying woman's hand like that. Not that I hadn't known that he was sweet, but I'm really loving him more and more. And OT, but I think my pimped-out Widow sniper rifle that I lovingly crafted for my infiltrator is terribly bugged it has almost double the damage of my old one, in stats, but if my old one could one-hit kill some enemies with headshots, this one looks like it doesn't even shave off 5% of HP from generic enemies. With headshots too. My crappy starter pistol feels infinitely more powerful right now. Mine did this as well and I panicked. lol Fixed itself by the next fight though without me switching it out. Might can try that though if it doesn't start working for you. Or maybe even a fast travel. Can't remember what I did.

This conversation we had was an expression (without aggression) of our opinions. For that we get "fuck off". Yeah I know. But we have a nice private chat where we can speak more freely if you want to vent. Until things calm down and spoilers can be removed from tags and we can talk about him game-wise. May I be added to the chat, please?

I found a bug. I was checking my EMAILs, one was from Gil; he was talking about a poker game, and how Peebee wrangled poor Jaal into it. Problem is, I never met Jaal yet. I remember this happened alot in 2 and 3. I got messages from or about people I had yet to meet. I got that too! I also got another one from Jaal calling my Ryder 'dearest' after I flirted with him once. Don't know if that one was bug but I just thought was odd haha. I didn't see that one as a bug. Could be I guess but he does ask if that's the approriate term for people who like flirting. I took it to mean more that he really just doesn't know human customs and the fact that he is so open with his feelings. My worst bug was talking to Drack and having him clone himself mid conversation. Ended up with two in the kitchen area. No complaints though cuz he's awesome.

Does anyone know what the icon for two people standing next to each other in the dialogue means? Sara had it with Jaal but not the Scott playthrough I saw. I'm guessing a friendship thing but that's odd that Scott wouldn't have the same? Her personality based on her background. Ah, okay. Thank you! Just seemed odd since she was asking to spend time alone with him to watch him work. I took it as a subtle flirt.
