If nothing else, I just want to make people aware of Noah. He's a great critic, and I think he deserves a larger audience. I genuinely don't understand why someone would watch an hour long video telling them how they should (or shouldn't) feel about a certain game. This is a problem with art criticism in general, of course, not this particular guy against whom I have nothing personally. I watched the video to perhaps get a different or unique perspective on the topic. Don't really see how listening to another's opinion as problematic. If you take someone else's opinion on something as "this is how I must think about it, too", then that's on you. I think the healthy attitude is to listen to another's perspective with an open mind and, at the end, you can choose to agree or disagree. You may take away something interesting from that perspective. Or not. In either case, I think it's a good idea to open your mind to other opinions, especially ones that may be opposite to your own. At the very least, you can understand their reasoning even if you ultimately don't agree. That's just my $0.02, though.

One major thing I would change is making the zones smaller. I guess driving the Nomad isn't my favorite thing and I much prefer exploring on foot like we did on Havarl. I dislike the wide open zones with blank spaces thing and it weirdly takes the fun out of exploration for me. The only time I really enjoyed the Nomad was on that destroyed planet where you did Vetra's loyalty mission. That was fun.

My Ryder had no problem with it but me personally? No. I have a hard enough time saying "Ok Google" out loud, there is no stinking way I'm going to have some AI implant in my head. No. Nonono.

Quizzy's PJs! Those would work I would seriously lol if they gave us Kelly's outfit. if it's topless lounge shorts or sweatpants for the guys, then they really need to work on that bizarre upper body proportions. The ass looks great, chest looks long and flat and weird It wouldn't look so weird if he actually had longer legs. But they gave him a long torso and short legs and it's really a bizarre look.

I let Reyes shoot Sloane in the back last night, rather than save her. I'm not use how that is goody two shoes. I'm glad they've ditched the paragon/renegade thing, and if anything Ryder is a more realistic person than Shep. I guess people just love their power fantasy. Yep and I also shot that Kett bitch at the facility instead of letting her live. I also said "fuck you we don't work with the Kett" to the Primus. I chewed out Liam after his loyalty mission and I chewed out Gil and Kallo for failing to get along. Those are just a few things I can think of off the top of my head. I mean, I wasn't allowed to be a total jerk, true, but I felt like there were plenty of times where my character got heated and wasn't a sweet little flower.

Alec is dead. Drack is more old than male. Jaal feels like he never want to talk and represts himself as different to Milky Way, but hes probably closest, just simply annoying. Bradley again. Had to google to see who he is. Is he big in a game? Reyes? Malibu Ken? Spends 2 hours in front of mirror everyday Reyes? Alright. That's it. Fight me!

I... think the male presets are mostly awful, to be honest. Both male and female presets leave much to be desired. The only one that turned out great is default Scott. For females, I think preset 5 is the best but most of the other presets are kind of meh. I don't play the male presets so I can only judge based on what I see here on the forums for the most part. So granted, they may not look as good in game. Well, I won't deny that some very talented folks have managed to make some good-looking male Ryders so I know it's not impossible. It's just not easy to do. I guess my biggest gripe is that their skin doesn't look young enough to pass as 22 in game.

I also don't think there was any agenda to purposely make women ugly or anything. It's nonsense. People like to think that Anita Sarkeesian actually has sway with game developers and I find it laughable. I don't think any game developers give a shit about her inane claptrap. Meh, that is one thing I kinda raise my eyebrow at. I don't think it is an accident the male presets came out looking so good and the female presets came out looking, well, the way they look by accident. I've always liked BW for their inclusiveness for obvious reasons but anything can be taken too far. That said, so much stupid in this thread on both sides. It is exactly times like this that I feel like... ...because humanity is obviously a lost cause. I... think the male presets are mostly awful, to be honest. Both male and female presets leave much to be desired. The only one that turned out great is default Scott. For females, I think preset 5 is the best but most of the other presets are kind of meh.

I agree that there should have been better choices on how to react but I definitely don't want to get rid of SAM. Seems like a bit of an escalation there. I actually like SAM quite a bit.

As someone who frequenly watches videos from the skeptic community, I find this whole notion of Bioware pandering to SJW's absolutely ridiculous. It's not "pandering" or "hamfisted" to include some LGBT folks in their games for christ's sake. Bioware has always been inclusive in that way and I don't see anything wrong with it. Now, if they start in with talking about 500 genders, then I'll raise my eyebrow.
I also don't think there was any agenda to purposely make women ugly or anything. It's nonsense. People like to think that Anita Sarkeesian actually has sway with game developers and I find it laughable. I don't think any game developers give a shit about her inane claptrap.

If she gets the long/messy CC hair sure, why not. She seemed like a fun character, I could always use more fun characters. Although the next time we see her she (depending on the dlc/sequel time gap) would be x months pregnant/fresh mom. While according to the internet some people would be into that, I'm not sure BW could tackle that particular kind of kink - or even should. On a serious note, I liked Jill. I don't get why people hate her. They have a deep friendship with Gil, in fact they were already a family when they came to andromeda. Now they (can) have a baby. What's wrong with that? She didn't approach him like "you are gay and disgusting, but the gene bank is a lottery so pants down and give me your seed!". They didn't conceive the child the regular way, he can still chase men after that. I can picture Gil writing 'Gil-latte' on the sampling cup or saying "Bottoms up!". The child isn't the product of romantic love but s/he is still the result of love. Besides it's good for Gil's character. He started out as a carefree, no-plans guy with no clear goals for coming to andromeda. Now he has something, a someone to look forward to. Yeah, this is kinda what I thought at first too. Still think this a little bit, actually. My opinion of the Gil/Jill situation has changed slightly in that I can see why that whole arc could be extremely annoying for a gay male player. I don't subscribe to the whole "Jill is toxic and evil and homophobic" narrative, though. I just don't think the relationship was intended to be toxic or unhealthy, to be honest. However, if I squint, I can see how it might be taken that way. I just think the writing could have been a bit a bit more clear in regards to Jill and Gil's friendship.

You don't expect barely viable colonizable planets to be a waterworld or lush grassland lanscape, do you? I think it would have been cool if there were more planets like Havarl where they were dying and you had to rescue them instead of mostly dead and barren. Then, you come back later for something else and see the plant life a bit more green, water a bit more clear, air easier to breathe, etc. I'm OK with planets like Voeld and Eos, but I'll trade in Elaaden for something a bit more visually appealing.

Excessive use of hyperboles does your "argument" no favors. I mean, really? Looting corpses is a thing to talk about now? It's a gorram time-honored tradition in RPG's. I refuse to live in a world where I can't loot what I kill. eeer... you obviously need to reread what I wrote in my post, the more the better, until you understand what exactly I was talking about when I mentioned scavengers scene. Just to make it easier for you - to put it bluntly , MEA protagonist is total crap of a character, so please you and other people need to stop making up excuses for him/her, and even worse - asking to bring Ryder into sequel. The clearer the message that Ryder is garbage of a character writing, the better chances that there will be better protagonist in then ext game, which ME fan community will only benefit from. So stop doing a disservice to everyone, yourself included. So, nobody is allowed to like Ryder as a character? I get that you don't, and that's just dandy, but telling others they can't love Ryder or think they're a good character or else they're doing a disservice to everyone is, frankly, a shitty thing to say and patently false. Kindly get off your high horse, please, and realize there are actually people in the world who don't think like you do.

And this suggestion that bioware should give up open world ish games is absurd. Bw fan: please Bioware can you stop giving us large maps with quests to do in them. Bw: you mean...o.O...you want us to stop doing games like we've always done them? Andromeda is like almost every Bioware game I've played. From KOTOR to DA I. And from reading up on them even games like BG 1 and 2 did it this way too. Only exceptions are ME 2 and 3. Only difference is the size of some of the maps. Yeah, I don't want to give up open maps entirely. I still like to explore and find cool hidden stuff. I just don't need them to be so gigantic. Lots of smaller maps are more to my liking. Big open spaces like Eladaan and The Hissing Wastes are just... too much in my opinion. Havarl was just right for me. I really loved that place.

As much as I love open world games, I feel like Bioware should reign that in a bit. Bioware excels in story and characters and I think that should always be the priority for them. I don't mind having a space to explore and find things in, but for DA and ME, I think that really should be narrowed down in scope. I rather like the size of Havarl, personally.

The problem with the CC isn't that you ant make good-looking characters. It's that you can't make them look how YOU want them to look. For me, I have this weird thing where I like to make "snow white" type characters. I did it in DAO, DA2, DAI, etc. Super fair skin, black hair, blue or brown eyes, and red lips. Exhibit A: imgur.com/a/OCCLfBut I can't do this with the MEA CC. Mostly because I just cant make a character with fair enough skin. Ain't the end of the world but kinda annoying. to be fair that's a problem with probably every CC out ther you have to allow for some limitations as games can't account for every possible look out there. I remember when I tried to make a character that looked like someone from the X factor once. Igot the face mostly right except for the eyye as there wasn't an option for the eyes that I wanted so ended up having to go with something else it's just the way of CC's unfortunately we can only use what we're given and rty to make the best of it that's the challenge. With Bioware specifically, I haven't had this problem until now. I'm aware CCs have limitations, I just have never encountered this particular limitation in a Bioware game until now. *shrug*

In the "A People Divided" mission, if you've flirted with Reyes prior, a squadmate makes a comment referencing it when you enter the Roekaar Hideout. Liam for example tells Scott to "keep it in his pants", does anyone know if the squadmates comments are different based on whether you are Scott and Sara? Just would find it weird for example if Liam told Sara to keep it in her pants Also prefer if the game acknowledges the correct gender of the PC in the romance. I'm already cringing over Vetra's Queen and Baronness comments to Scott If it's the same one I'm thinking of, I had PeeBee with me and she said something like: "You like him.." I played Sara.

Because it was easier for EA to re-use krogan assets rather than creating a new alien race. Its the same reason you are killing thousands of human "raiders" despite the fact that there are only 20,000 humans in the entire galaxy Were there really thousands of humans though? Weren't some of them Asari and Turian? I recall and endless supply of Kett and quite a few Roekaar but not too many exiles unless you're on Kadara. Edit: Or Eladaan, I suppose.

What the fuck did I just read? Who the hell claims that white people are the progenitors of humanity or human civilization? Nobody says that. Certainly not academia. Or any credible scientist. To be completely fair, that was a pretty common belief in North America and Europe until the 20th century, even among academics. Although the majority of educated Westerners, ironically enough, believed Egypt was the birthplace of civilization. Aristotle said so and people just accepted that for the next couple thousand years. It didn't hurt that Exodus makes similar claims. And ironically enough, they were all just as wrong as the Afro-supremacist crackpot being cited in this thread. The roots of civilization in the Med basin and Near East almost certainly go back to Mesopotamia, where we now know wheat was first domesticated and the first urban centers were built. The Egyptians were johny-come-latelies and copycats. The Assyrians and so-called "Marsh Arabs" are the true descendants of the first city-dwellers and scribes. Yep, I'm aware that used to be the belief but nobody today believes that unless you're like a white supremacist wackadoodle. This whole talk of "we've been lied to" threw me for a loop.

The resources would have had to come from somewhere, and the only place they would come from is the no-sex route since there is no way that would win out over the sex route if they had to choose one. Every single bi LI in MEA(other than perhaps Keri but it heavily implies it) has sex be mandatory, while the ones that have it as optional or ambiguous are only available to one sex(and even then it is mixed results)[\b] . Reyes doesn't have a sex scene, technically. I, at least, refuse to believe my Sara is getting busy in a dank cave. Yeah no.

I hate the email glitch And I'm currently doing Cora's loyalty mission and I'm so mad they didn't make such an obvious Asari fan girl bi. Like pls why you do dis? Besides aren't most guys still complaining she looks like a 40 year old + lesbian with that hair cut? On be half of crimson the "make obvious weeablu bi "petition will begin I actually was surprised that Cora was straight. I thought for sure she was going to be bi after we found out her background.

www.cdc.gov/cancer/skin/statistics/race.htmIt is not impossible to get Melanoma and then die from it if your black/brown or whatever. Yes, if you have darker skin color your significantly less likely to get it and even then die from it, but it is not impossible. Like I said. Do a bit of research. This is an UV test of different people how the UV looks like on skin. Also this is a lecture of a brother who debunk the myth of "anyone can get skin cancer from the sun" nonsense. First, we must understand what White skin really means and who White people really are. In a nutshell Whites are mutated inbred albinos. Scientifically speaking biologists say that white skin is a result of adaptation to climate, but let’s pay close attention to that for a minute. When we think of an adaptation to something, we think of acquiring physical traits and characteristics that would make us successful in surviving the environment. Let us understand what White skin means biologically and genetically. White skin does not meet the criteria for being a result of climatic adaptations. Scientists write that White skin is an adaptation to northern cold climates. The lack of melanin has proven to be non-beneficial but actually detrimental to cold climates, technically. Melanin has thermal regulating properties in that it absorbs all forms of heat and energy and can actually allow a person to warm up quicker after coming out of the cold and keeps them warmer longer while in a cold environment. The claims are that White skin was an aid in the metabolization of vitamin D, however, it has been determined that melanin is needed for the efficient metabolization of vitamin D and calcium. Since White skin reflects sunshine, a primary source of vitamin D, compensation for not getting adequate amounts from the sun because of calcium depletion from bones, therefore decreasing bone density and making Caucasians more susceptible to Osteoporosis. Whites are also the most susceptible to kidney stones composed of calcium oxylate. It is a well known fact that the sun causes skin cancer in White people more than any other people on this Earth, but what a lot of people don’t realize is that the sun also sterilizes Whites. The lack of melanin or pigment leaves Whites vulnerable to photolysis. The decomposition of folate or folic acid in the blood levels is critical for cell replication and reproduction. This is the real reason behind the low Caucasian birthrates. The experienced problems with fertility are not behavioral but biological one that cannot seem to be controlled. The foliate levels plummet by up to 50% when exposed to solar radiation, and even in the radiation in tanning salons. The genetically deficient genes give ABSOLUTELY NO benefit in nature, in tropical, temperament climates OR northern cold climates. Everything we have been led to believe is a myth. It has become so dogmatic that many people subconsciously try to refute this instinctively because it does not coincide with the indoctrination that permeates thought processes so deeply. Since Caucasians cannot reproduce genetic material (melanin), they could not have spawned humanity. Because the sun sterilizes and is sending Whites on a course toward extinction, they will not survive independently for very long without people of color depositing their genetic material to make their cell replication and reproduction more feasible. Caucasians are becoming extinct in Europe just like everywhere else on the planet showing NON-ADAPTATION. White gene DNA cannot be traced back as far as their genetic parents, BLACK AFRICANS! The result is sufficient evidence for their not being the progenitors of humanity or civilization. The deficient genes simply will not last that long in the presence of a majority black/brown people. Their birthrates globally are below replacement levels, and even if they didn’t have to worry about being bred out of existence by black/brown genes, their numbers would still dwindle because of victimization by photolysis. Read more: egyptsearchreloaded.proboards.com/thread/1981/story-origins-tamahu-white-people#ixzz4eG0PC93FWhat the fuck did I just read? Who the hell claims that white people are the progenitors of humanity or human civilization? Nobody says that. Certainly not academia. Or any credible scientist.
