She is in the TV series "The Expanse" too! I love her too! And that show ''The Expanse'' is the best show to date in my opinion. SO GLAD TO FIND ANOTHER THE EXPANSE FAN!!!! It helped me with the Andromeda waiting. Those Mass Effect vibes it gives me time to time... Raan is a great Udina gray villain If we can go Afro, I want my Ryder to look like my favourite character Also, Andromeda should play with non gravity moments ...and gravity-zero sex

And here this one was hoping Spiderman wouldn't address her again Back to the topic: Aria wasn't a romanceable character. If Sloane Kelly is the New Aria, then we don't have a precedent for a romanceable No-Aria I forgive you for you know not what you do. And Aria's kiss made her romanceable in some people's book, just as Samara was romanceable for the same reason in some people's book. Just sayin'. But shouldn't we be talking about butterfaces? Let's get back to that, woman who thinks she's qualified to speak on behalf of hetero men without all the fallout that would occur in the opposite scenario. Thanks, Jesus. In Aria regard, if you consider a kiss she gives you in a moment with no consequences whatsover a romance, well... I... don't know how to tell you but... that is not a romance. That's barely a nod to the players. Samara has special romance content in Citadel DLC and its roots comes from ME2 rejecting romance. It's well established as a romance option in ME3 (even when some people don't think so if you don't obtain a trophy for that). Aria is just a kiss and the kiss is simply not mentioned again. I'm so qualified to speak on behalf of hetero men the same way you are so qualified to speak on behalf of Deadpool (he is funny Goddamit!! TRY TO BE FUNNY! I DARE YOU! COME ON! I BELIEVE IN YOU SON!!!)

Raan had the most soothing cigarette voice ever. Raan's voice actor popped up in the newest Star Trek film and I was like AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH *points* I want her to be my Grandma, tell me about the spirit of Christmas in front of the fire and all that. She is in the TV series "The Expanse" too!

"female love interests are mostly talked about, which get the most of fanfiction and attention." One name: SOLAS (176 pages in this forum) [look at this forum, look at DevianArt... female love interests are not necessarily the mostly talked about] "Short hair isn't what majority of men like, you need to understand that." That's your personal opinion easily to refute: ASARI (hairless) "It's clear that feminist movement shifted to a wrong direction somewhere along the road." This quote comes from 1910 1962 1975 1987 1995 2016 (basically it's the typical antifeminist narrative SINCE ALWAYS ) I don't see how Solas is of any relevancy here when we're talking about female LIs for straight males. You should also know that ROs for females have usually more "traffic" since they're much more likely to discuss them and fangirl over them than men who usually experiance romance in-game, MAYBE leave a comment or two on what how it was and what they think about it and leave it at that (with Tali being an exception for some reason, her threads were ridiculously large). As for asari, they're not human so it's hardly a fair comparison. I'd argue they would look stupid if they had any sort hair because of how different they are. And it's not just my opinion that majority of men don't like short hair. It's a fact. There's a reason why most young women wear their hair at least at chin length. It's what most males are attracted to. As for that anti-femminist narrative, don't you think that if it's been used for so long and successfully, if I might say so, that there might be at least some truth to it? Just a thought you should take. Solas example was a prove of what you said was inaccurate. Then you have changed your narrative and you told me we girl talk too much about love interests fangirling. Then you say Tali is an exception. I don't know what to say because it seems whatever I tell you, you will say I'm wrong because it doesn't adjust of what you expected. I think you are the first person who says the Asari are too different to be mistaken for a human. Now I'm impressed. By the way, Jack was another interesting love interest. She was beautiful and bald. And when I say beautiful, I refer to all her precious face. Yeah, of course! Anti-femminist narrative it's been used for so long because it's right! As slavery! As murder! As Oppression? As MagevsTemplars!

This quote comes from 1910 1962 1975 1987 1995 2016 (basically it's the typical antifeminist narrative SINCE ALWAYS ) Doesn't mean it never rang true... and it just as often came from actual feminists then anti feminists... just saying. On short vs. long hair: Again, I have to point to typical human behavior, and what generally is seen as desired feminine traits: Long, thick hair = indicator for good genes. On fan art... DeviantArt? Why not tumblr? Well, you know... long hair was an indicator of nobility in the Middle Ages so men from the aristocracy had long hair. Same with Ancient Spartans. Romans were against it but then in the II century AD you have Marcus Aurelius and his long hair... About women: in the 20s short hair was fashionable, in Ancient Egypt all wealthy people tend to wore wigs the same as pre revolutionary France... When you call it "biology" I only see how cultural contexts, space and time determines the attractive traits of each gender. DevianArt, Tumblr, Ao3, FF.net, google images... those are my evidence, where are yours? Actually, self-criticism is very a healthy approach for any social or political movement. In fact, without self-criticism, feminism wouldn't have opened about the struggles of LGTB, women of colour, etc. However, I was referring about this especific kind of: Those feminist of the former century were nuts! WANTING TO VOTE! Women went too far

Yeees, but please longer hair available to both Sara and Scott. I like men with longer hair and absolutely prefer to play as one. ^^ Fair enough personally I prefer shorter hair for men but longer for women but that's just me. We can agree what we need is more bald options for both ... ...now I am the one with the @kappanekko 's Inquisitor PTSD

readher has a narrative in mind that he wants fulfilled. He wants parkour type female li with flowing locks that is half a step behind his hero, and is nice to him. He misconstrues feminism as a variety of phobias about gender roles, that, granted are often taken out of proportion on the net. But what is not? I would only say that in my view, a feminist does not begrudge other woman a superlative quality such as beauty, and any way to self-fulfill, such as a relationship with a man or a woman. The women that are portrayed as rejecting men is not a narrative that one subscribe lightly to, no less so than despising women or being entirely misanthropic. If he did not try to validate his opinion by claiming it represents that of a majority, and toned down the rhetoric some, it would be no different than really what most folks do like -a cool love interest that is visually appealing to them personally. No big deal, and understandable. I validate my opinion by claiming it represents majority because it's true. Look which female love interests are mostly talked about, which get the most of fanfiction and attention. They all fall under universally attractive categories I listed. I have no idea what parkour type female is. As for flowing locks, I prefer ponytails or buns since it's a military setting so it's only fitting. Flowing locks should be left for off-duty. Short hair isn't what majority of men like, you need to understand that. It's a fact and that I'm sure even men who like short-haired women will concede. And the LI can be ahead of my hero for what I care, not sure how it's any relevant (aside from the fact she'd be the one to get shat on should fraternization be discovered). Your LI being nice to you is something you'd expect from someone you're romacing though, no? So I don't see how it's anything special to demand. Would you be romantically involved with someone who isn't nice to you? I doubt it. If my actions as a player anger her, then fine, she obviously has her own values. If she's outright hostile to me for no reason I have no reason to romance her at all though, just like in real life. Whatever feminist say nowdays I won't be able to take seriously, because of ridiculous problems they have. Oh no, you can also play as Corvo in Dishonored 2 as opposed to only Amy, clearly they couldn't go full-on with feminism because they're afraid. These are actual words feminist says and it's laughable to say the least. It's clear that feminist movement shifted to a wrong direction somewhere along the road. Few decades ago they were fighting against abortion seeing it as a tool of control and now they're defending it to death. Such a radical shift in one movement isn't normal. "female love interests are mostly talked about, which get the most of fanfiction and attention." One name: SOLAS (176 pages in this forum) [look at this forum, look at DevianArt... female love interests are not necessarily the mostly talked about] "Short hair isn't what majority of men like, you need to understand that." OMFG
First: you can be HETERO and find other men attractive. Finding someone attractive is NOT ONLY a sexual thing, you know? Call it charismatic, call it good looking. Second: there is nothing wrong with being gay. If I would want to insult you I WOULD HAVE NEVER called you gay BECAUSE THAT IS NOT AN INSULT. If you think homosexuality is an insult, well, work with those issues. Third: SARA AND SCOTT ARE FREAKING HOT. BOTH. DEAL. WITH. IT. Sounds like you're being obnoxious and offensive to me personally. Don't try to imply that it's okay for me to be attracted to guys as if that's the case with me. It's not. Maybe in your world, but I'm happy being straight. And don't tell me that as a straight guy that being called gay isn't an insult. Calling anyone gay or the "f" word in a derogatory way is a serious insult, no matter what their sexual preference is. So I'm going to flag you now. If the mods want to deal with you, they can. If the don't, that's their decision and I'll abide by it. But don't bother replying to me anymore, I'm done with you. My boyfriend is hetero and he can tell when a guy is attractive or not. He doesn't feel less a man for that, maybe because he knows who is he and what he likes. I'm nearly to flag YOU for implying being gay is a freaking derogatory term, but I'm gonna let it pass because it's evident this is a very sensible subject for you. Whatever Don't worry, I'm done with you too. But, by the way, Deadpool's character is not exactly the epitome of heteronormativity. I hope that doesn't break your heart

You know I had to make this thread. Will we go NEGAN and kill other Pathfinders? Pathfinder is this game's Spectre. Hunting Tela the Stocky Asorry was one of the best missions ever. Instead of being killed for betrayal we put down other Pathfinders due to fundamental differences on how to go about things in the new galaxy. Negan? in a Thread? AGAIN? On topic: This is a serious case of going rogue for the sake of it. I'll explain myself better: even with the most renegade of all Shepards, you didn't have total liberty to do whatever you want. You have a mission. You couldn't simply kill the council before the ME1 ending. If the plot offers the possibility Ryder solves a problem killing other Pathfinders (or not) would be cool, but I don't see that fit in the narrative. Off topic: this is the thread you are looking for, RageUnderFire bsn.boards.net/thread/1114/walking-dead-series-premiere-23rd

Well, OBVIOUSLY my opinion is "not quite line up with other's opinion of Sara" given the fact that YOU have been stating over and over that YOU don't find her hot as hell. That's why I said it was my opinion. I was acknowledging yours And you clearly stated you find Bro Ryder attractive, you and other guys, that's why I said "we can agree on that". It wasn't a flip of mind. I can have those in my own language, but in English I tend focus in why I say things and how am I able to say it. There is not an OBJECTIVE WAY to analyze "attractiveness" so stop trying to make it like the word of the God(dess?) There is conventional attractive people and not conventional attractive people. It's OK you are asking for the former if that is what you want, but then what we are gonna get is not up to us, it's up to the devs. I clearly stated that I find Ryder attractive, me and other guys? No, I don't find him attractive, and other hetero guys don't find him attractive. We are straight, not gay or bi. We can tell he's better looking for a guy than Sara is for a gal, though. Um, I think I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that English isn't your first language, as opposed to you suggesting that I find him attractive as in you're implying that I'm gay. I suggest that you never say a man is attracted to another man unless you're calling him gay. If you do that, there are very specific consequences on this site for people who make slurs about someone's sexuality. Otherwise, it's evident that there's a significant disparity in the level of physical appearance between the two Ryders. I suppose if you want to think that Sara has been designed to be as goodlooking for a woman as Scott is for a man, then, hey, I'm not your optometrist. You may proceed to say that up is down and down up, or that good is evil and evil good. I won't stand in your way by arguing with you about it because it would be profitless. Let's agree to disagree and leave it at that.
OMFG

Take any movie. Take any comic. Take any videogame. You will find attractive men. Average men. Old men. Young men. Men with glasses. Muscle men. Skinny but pretty intelligent men. Gross men. A good-looking man who is the protagonist. Or maybe he looks like a normal guy but he is different, he has something special. Maybe he doesn't know that yet, but probably he will find out. The same movie has a hot girl who is the love interest of the protagonist. Maybe there is another one who is average good looking. Maybe there is no more women in the movie because it's very distracting (they are defined by their sex and sex appeal rather than by a narrative purpose). Also, it's very funny you mention the "Strong Independent Woman, I don't Need a Man" as a feminist thing when feminist DESPISE that poor narrative (this maybe interests you: www.overthinkingit.com/2008/08/18/why-strong-female-characters-are-bad-for-women/ ) dalinne, you da best.

Everything else aside, I'm curious as to what you think this mysterious cabal of liberal feminists is trying to accomplish by making a video game that contains at least two characters you can't jerk off to. Has it occurred to you that maybe Bioware has realized that they're the only adult RPG studio with a significant audience of not-straights and not-males? Black Isle's been dissolved, or the next best thing to it. Obsidian never really got their feet off the ground and they're starting to circle the drain. FromSoftware (besides being eastern RPGs - a big difference to some people) doesn't do anything to appeal to either sex; I can't speak for all women, but I'm there for badassery and mind-screwy lore. Same with Bethesda (and I think everyone can agree from Fallout 4 that Bethesda shouldn't be going anywhere near romance). And there are a lot of female gamers who I don't think are ever going to forgive CD Projekt RED for Witcher 1's sex cards. Unless you think smart niche marketing is a conspiracy, Bioware isn't screwing over the straight male gamer. They're making things that can appeal to everyone, and if certain people are shallow enough to pass it up based on the existence of female characters who don't have the physical and mental traits of a Barbie doll, that's an acceptable trade off. What you fail to understand though, is that males never have any problem with guys having muscles they'll probably never even see in ther lifetime, let alone achieve themselves. Neither do they have a problem with very handsome faces. Various games from various genres had such characters since late 90s and no one cried because of this. It is only lately when it comes to females that the argument "not every female is a model" or "beauty is subjective" or "not all women need to look like barbies" came into play. Games are meant to be jump away from reality. If I am to romance women in games, I want them to be attractive. I honestly see more attractive women during one day at my university than I've seen during my whole DA:I playthrough (and I'm studying IT mind you, not a lot of females here). It literally serves no purpose. To whom making females unattractive appeal to? Straight women won't romance them anyways, and I can't imagine lesbians being happy that women are unattractive. So please, tell me, what purpose does making female characters unattractive serves? No one wants to romance someone with mental traits of a barbie doll. There's a reason why Lara Croft's character is very popular amongst men. She was strong, capable, could take care of herself but at the same time was attractive (both in games, relative to graphic capabilities of course and in movies) and didn't shoo away every men because "muh strong independent woman, I don't need a man". I can't imagine many people want to romance a plastic doll either, but you're of course jumping to extremes as anyone who lacks arguments. No one asks BioWare to make females look like from porn-like Skyrim mods. They can do attractive and fairly realistic (considering it's a game) female characters just fine, as history proves. It is only as of late that they decide against doing so. I think that's not completely fair because: 1) Personally, I think Sara is hot since the first moment I saw her. I guess the appreciation of her looks varies from one person to another. However, if you don't like her looks, you can CUSTOMIZE HER whether you play her, whether she is your NPC sister (it's something everybody is pointing out). 2) Scott is hot, we can agree on that. And HE. IS. YOUR. BROTHER. Why on Earth I want to feel sexually attracted to my brother??? And if you play him as the PC, you can customize him in order to make him less like a model (I will certainly customize him because everytime I see the character makes me feel conflicted as fuck ). 3) Everybody has said it before: we've barely seen people from this game. Relax. You're, of course, right about being able to customize each Ryder. However, your own statements confirm that there's a disparity in their appearances. "Scott is hot," you say, and you didn't qualify that at all. You assumed no need to do so: "We can agree on that." However, you clearly qualified your statement about Sara: "Personally, I think Sara is hot." You revealed that your opinion may not quite line up with others' opinion of her. So my point? This disparity in their appearances is inherently unfair and hypocritical. One is clearly better looking than the other. This is simply more evidence to my argument that Bioware is on a social agenda at the behest of liberal, progressive feminists, in part, to help themselves and hurt the opponents they've chosen to declare war upon. So be it. But own it. And own and accept that by catering to this group you're screwing over another group, hetero males. Worse yet, keeping males beautiful but uglying down females is a contradiction. "Good looking love interests for me, but not for thee," is what is virtually being announced on a megaphone. Furthermore, this has been a worrying trend that many players noticed actually started in Dragon Age: Inquisition. So far, there has been no evidence to contradict that male hetero players have been intentionally screwed over yet again, while female and gay players have been rewarded or have been allowed to keep their rewards. Yes, it matters, especially since romance is a key part of these games that people enjoy. Guessing games I'm hoping that we get more male squaddies than romances than it seems at the moment, it'd be suck if straight bro!Ryder had once again more options. I'm expecting Vetra to be LI, I'm quite convinced really. I'm also convinced that she will be option for sis!Ryder, but idk if she's lesbian or bi. Liam and Cora are pretty surely LI's and straight if not bi. Human LI's are must in the series and important one's (squaddies) as well. Peebee actually might not be LI. Liara was so locked on being Shepard's LI that it would be twist to have Asari as non-romantical character instead. Maybe she's too job-oriented to think of dating. .. or she's pansexual and available for both. I don't think Drack will be LI. I think it'd go too much in weird territory romance-wise. Though Turian's are pretty weird too when you thin kf of it so.. we will see. If he's LI I think he will be available to bro!ryder or both. Altough I wouldn't mind a Krogan love interest, I don't see Drack being one. He looks way older than Wrex (who was like a middleaged Krogan) and very generic Krogan as far as we have seen him be. Things can change, but I don't see him being a love interest. If there is a Krogan love interest, I see NPC Krogan Charr style or very polite Krogan from Illium. I hope Vetra is bisexual as well as Liam and Cora, but we don't even know if Vetra is romanceable in that regard... Until I know more about Liam's Voice Actor (my weakness, the reason why I felt in love with characters in the first place), Reyes is the one who I am more attracted to.

You know, I'd love it if we were able to romance a fellow Pathfinder. We know there's a Pathfinder HQ on the Nexus that Ryder will have to go to during his/her journey. This is where the 2nd briefing said we will be able to converge with the other Pathfinders on our findings and share information. It sounds like we'll be meeting with them quite a bit during the story, they might even be the Mass Effect equivalent of Inquisition's advisors. So crazy thought, what if Ryder had a fraternization-type relationship with one of them? Oh my, think of the drama ! You're all supposed be professional with each other and prioritize your path-finding duties but a then fellow Pathfinder starts to get the hots for our new protagonist. Reluctantly of course . It results in a secret love-affair where they have to continue to act professional in front of others. Not only that but their responsibilities to their respective races may also challenge their relationship. The more I thought about it the more I loved the idea. Please, continue

Only 7? Hmm. If it's true, and there's only 1 human male... I'm worried for the first time. Thanks op Why? the humans get 2 (3 with yourself) squad members and the other races only get 1. That seems fair(ish). Or are you referring to romance options? In that case, I'm pretty certain that someone said that there was going to be Li outside the squad. That is correct: devs confirmed there are romance options in your squad, among your crewmembers and outside the Tempest too. Don't worry, Kian, you will find your human Likho love interest somewhere

Don't worry, OP, I'm with ya. I hate to say it, but hope to the goddess that Cora is the space babe we're looking for. Otherwise, we're all out of moves, and it's going to be a very dry game. And we don't want to wake up next to Javik, either. So hopefully Bioware doesn't punk anyone with a romanceless Ryder who rejects the makeupless Lena Dunham and Amy Schumer types infecting Bioware's games while reserving good looks ( why is Scott model-looking for a guy while Sara looks like someone hit her in the face with a shovel?) for themselves hypocritically. Relax.

I'm not a native speaker myself and I had your explanation sounded as clear as it may be with such an odd and complicated topic. It looks like our vision on this is pretty similar, though instead of "there are still things I'll never do, simply because I can never imagine doing it myself" I'd say "there are still things I'll never do, simply because I believe they are wrong or stupid". After all, I can't imagine myself even going to military, not to mention saving all our galaxy, but my Shep does it easily . So, well, romancing someone you're not attracted to in real life is definitely weird. But after this discussion I more than ever want to try. You know, like a mental experiment or something The "there are still things I'll never do, simply because I can never imagine doing it myself" part was meant to be more about moral actions. What I mean is, when playing RPGs I often tend to go for evil characters, but I can never bring myself to support slavery in any form, even if there are arguably worse things I do than slavery. I can't even imagine keeping the collar on Vette in SWTOR for example. Sending Imperial Death Squads to leave no civilian witnesses during Imperial Agent storyline though? I do that on all my toons. It's weird, but that's how it works for me. Slavery, taking advantage of someone (as in rape), cheating on someone (as in having sex with someone else while in relationship, not playing trickster of sorts) - these are things I won't do no matter what kind of character I play. But it's OK, that's what a RPG stands for, right? For me romance a woman playing as a man is not such a big deal (I'm very used to it in fact, there are plenty games with male protagonists . Sometimes it's like "meh, he is into her, whatever" and other times I feel like cheerleading like "kiss Catwoman, for godsake, SHE'S CATWOMAN!!!!!". Characters don't tend to be selfinserts of myself, but I share plenty of interests with them in order to feel attach to them. That's why I can relate about your struggle with morals completely. Even with my most Renegade Shepards there are moments I simply couldn't do a renegade action (i.e: shoot Wrex, shoot Mordin, let the fucking sick Batarian die in Omega...). Some actions would have been a dealbreaker for me. In the moment you cannot stand your character, something went wrong in the gameplay. So, whether because you don't feel comfortable with some romances, whether you don't feel comfortable with some actions or decisions, I think that is ok. The important part is having fun. And maybe later with replays you can try something different or just repeting again if you have so much fun

I don't think there's been anything bland about Bioware characters lately - quite the opposite in fact. I think they've been very diverse in terms of appearance and this seems to be where some people have a problem, because they want all characters to conform to some sort of uniform or conventional 'beauty'. I don't think there have been any ugly characters in the last couple of games. I understand why Cassandra might not be to everyone's tastes, but that doesn't mean she isn't attractive. Same with Josephine, Sera etc. SisRyder is pretty in a kind of cute girl-next-door way. Regarding your point about realism - it was only less than 100 years ago that women didn't even have the right to vote. We've come a very long way since then, so is it really so inconceivable that in another 150+ years, we might have come even further and women become much more represented among leadership/sciences/exploration etc? Especially in the Mass Effect universe, where things like cybernetics, biotics, implants etc can go a significant way in reducing the physical differences between genders. I don't think a shift like that precludes it being hard sci-fi. Well, there is law and there is biological paradigms... woman are - by nature - less daring then men. It's simply not in their genetic program. I don't wanna get full on biologic-determinism on you here, but there is only so much society and culture can do. So, no, I doubt we ever will see an equal number of male and female soldiers, explorers and general risk takers in human society... well, outside of some form of virus or other disaster killing off 90% of all males in one fell swoop, and even then humanity could just as well die out all together. True, they are visually diverse alright, but since Miranda, hardly any of them have been conventionally attractive... "girl next door" might be fine if you do reality TV, but it doesn't quite cut it when you do mainstream action entertainment. Oh, I missed that old fashioned sexism...

Went back and watched the vid again. Mystery Reyes has a sexy voice. "We'll bang, ok?" What?! I'm shallow Though to be fair, I will indeed "romance" all the available m/m characters... well the humans anyway... keep the scary krogan away from me please Your lack of Krogan love makes Grunt sad I agree with the sexy voice of Reyes Soooo... Reyes could be: A) A new Spanish/Latino character A quarian C) Liam (yes, that's me, I WILL INSIST UNTIL THE DAY I DIE HE IS REVEALED) In addition, Reyes is: -sexy NPC you can find in the Crime Planet
-sexy crewmember in the Tempest
-sexy a squadmate

I thought it was like your progress in the main plot Pretty sure it's about the fact that Nexus isn't fully built when we arrive. What we do for it and what it gives is another question though. Precisely! That's what I meant. Like the Crucible in ME3. It's not about the points and the level up you make (as in DAI) but the big quest you complete related to the main plot (ME: Sur'Kesh, Tuchanka, Rannoch, etc.)
