I reinstalled Anthem on my new machine to give it a 2nd shot. I've been playing it all day and I'm actually having a lot of fun going through the campaign missions for the first time. I do have three main criticisms: (1) with so few players I'm doing everything solo, (2) for how good my new machine is, the graphics still seem pretty un-optimized/underperforming compared to something like Destiny 2, and (3) there's a little too much walking around talking to people between missions. That last one could be on me though, I found the non-mission stuff in Mass Effect and Destiny 2 to also drag on just a little more than needed. Speaking of Destiny 2, it really feels like Anthem's mission statement was "let's make a Destiny 2 clone". I guess it probably sounds like I'm complaining a lot but just like with Mass Effect, I'm still having fun despite the flaws.
I just found out about the pico-8 a couple weeks ago and I've been checking out the different carts available. It's neat being able to get in a quick retro gaming session anywhere I have browser access.
Hard to say for sure but it looks like maybe someone was sticking projectiles to the reactor door, in my experience that can reliably get it stuck if it's done while the door is opening back up
I caved to the current Steam sale. Six games from my wish list to add to the pile of stuff I'll most likely ignore while playing Warframe and ME3MP. Edit: Good deal though!
I ran into him again the other day when he dropped into my GiP. Didn't say a word and he even stuck around for a 2nd match. Would've been a 3rd but I had to go feed my kids. He's a mercurial fellow.
Bumped into the infamous dispenseroflove just now in some random pub. They let off the longest, most f-bomb laden tirade I've ever heard. I assume they didn't like me using the chakram launcher but it was hard to tell because their mic sucks. They also tried to vote kick me immediately after the match but ended up leaving themselves. On the upside, we were both cabal vanguards, how often do you see that happen?
Anyone play Gris before? About a week ago I got a new phone, a wireless controller, and a charging dock with video out, and I've been enjoying some casual couch gaming that way. I just finished Gris over the last few days, and I really enjoyed it. I really like the blend of slow paced storytelling, amazing visuals, technical difficulty, and mental challenge. It's on Steam and mobile, but the mobile version is only about a third of the price of the Steam version.
Can't remember if they're a regular here or not but I just dropped into a gold Geth London pub match that had slaughterback1 in it right as the extraction wave started. Easiest money I've ever made, that I didn't actually need.
Not sure if this is related or not, but apparently there's another weird bug with electrical hammer, where putting points into it results in less points available for the other skill trees
Way back when, I did an experiment to see how far I could get with a copy of the 10-hour trial edition of MEAMP. I found that as long as you know your game mechanics, it definitely felt more forgiving of being under-geared than ME3MP is. Probably partly due to the difference in armor DR, and partly due to the ease of mobility and repositioning. I was wrecking gold all day long with a combination of power spam and a mid-level charger with priming ammo.
Anyone else catch Tennocon today? Besides the New War stuff coming this year, they showed a working dev build with full cross play and cross save between all platforms, including Warframe on mobile. No ETA yet but it's still pretty huge news.
Cross play, what about cross transfer? Some of us have been waiting to move from 1 platform to another for ages. My problem with warframe is that its become more and more of a fashion frame simulator, a lot of the regular content is "new" weapons and skins. Obviously its lucrative but its not great for veteran players who want more consistent/regular story content like they used to do
I believe they said that both cross play and cross save are coming. The fine details aren't there yet, but the way they presented it, you'll be able to use your account on all platforms.

Edit: This probably sounds extra weird, but I bought Wet Girl exclusively because the 2 music tracks are amazing, and normally cost $49 dollars each from a song licensing website.
The game's coded in Unity, so (don't tell the dev this but) I was able to install the game and use a resource extractor to rip the non-audio-watermarked versions.
Edit: I paid $3.14 for those six games lol. I also went full memes and bought Garfield Kart the other day.
I haven't installed these yet, but uh... here's the result of last night's drunken cheap-game-buying spree. I think I paid about five bucks for all these together.
Well, I went on another late-night binge of cheap, questionable Steam purchases. And I wasn't even drunk this time!
