Keep it small to midsized. Nothing bigger than the SR2 was.

Bring in someone that understands what Mass Effect sounds like. MEA's score was too generic.

What is with this poll? I like Varric but I don't want to pic the one pro Varric option because of the way it is worded.

BSN gotta be the only site who's grown tired of Varric. Everywhere else people are happy to see him! BSN would complain about the sun rising every morning.

Well at the rate they have been moving since they released their last DAI DLC over seven years ago. If we are lucky we might see anything post DAD by the time we get in the old folks home...maybe

One thing I want the devs to strive for is for Dragon Age to maintain it's own identity. Don't worry about being more like Witcher, Elder Scrolls, Dark Souls, or whatever other fantasy franchises are out there. Not saying not to take some inspiration from the competition but at the end of the day Dragon Age needs to be Dragon Age.

How was it teased throughout the game? Come on. One of the major story arcs is about the Arks. So its only self-evident that the last missing Ark will be featured more in a DLC than Andromeda 2. So what? The Shadow Broker was also only mentioned by Liara in ME 2 and retake Omega only in a few Aria lines. A teaser for the book? Please this was only a prequel to coming events which will of course only happen ingame. It wasn't just the quarian ark but Helen Ryder and the Jien Garson murder were both unfinished plot threads we never got any closure on. We spent the game unlocking memories for a "to be continued..." for something that never continued. Those should have come to a conclusion in the game and they never did. Exactly i could pick some other unused theme as thread title. It doesn´t matter but i chose the Quarian Ark because regardless what Hanako thinks it was the most speculated story for a Andromeda 1 DLC.
So again can we focus more on DAD and its coming DLCs than debating what DLCs could have been made for Andromeda? I agree, at the end of the day DAD needs to be a fully fleshed out experience that leaves us feeling satisfied once we dealt with old baldy one way or the other. Let any DLC be dessert after we have finished the main course.

I agree 100 percent with the OP. I like DLCs and expansions well enough but the main game should still feel like a complete experience without them. It left a very sore taste in my mouth when MEA was put out to pasture without any singleplayer DLC that was teased throughout the course of the game. Both ME and DA have been guilty of teasing DLC in their vanilla games but up until MEA bioware would deliver. With DAD leave nothing up to chance. Wrap up the story you want to tell at launch. Additional DLC afterwards is fine and even welcome but the game should feel complete without it. How was it teased throughout the game? The Quarian Ark was mentioned twice: once by Tann who said they’ll be here eventually since they were part of the second wave, and after that only the postgame garbled message and conversation about it which very much was more a teaser for the book since the person said “they’ll have to rely on their Pathfinder” which is what the book did. A book should never take the place of what should have been in game dlc especially for content that teased in game. Books are fine for adding more context to what we already know but they should not replace in game content. It wasn't just the quarian ark but Helen Ryder and the Jien Garson murder were both unfinished plot threads we never got any closure on. We spent the game unlocking memories for a "to be continued..." for something that never continued. Those should have come to a conclusion in the game and they never did.

For me it is better than DA2 but not quite as good as origins. I would say that is the general consensus of DAI. That said I tend to play DAI the most of the bunch. I would love it if the older games got the MELE treatment with remaster. When it is at it's best DAI is about as good as anything bioware has made but I miss the more linear pacing that origins had and the darker atmosphere it had.

Been in a big fantasy mood lately but I keep hopping in between games. Been starting up Skyrim playthroughs but start screwing around with mods and starting over, started an inquisition, a little more TES with some Oblivion, started a witcher 3 playthrough but still running around White Orchard, and on top of all that thinking about going back into DAO.

What feats have the Hero have proven that would make him/her unbeatable? The main thing that pops in my head is the Cauthrien fight. Generally, the protag you're roleplaying in a video game progress the story by killing every enemies he's facing and when he dies, he just respawns to fight the same enemy(ies) to keep progressing in the story. When the Warden fights Cauthrien, it's a fight that the protag isn't supposed to win (he gets knocked out and ends up in jail). The fact that there's a possibility where the Warden can end up beating her and break the story, makes him better/stronger/insert another adjective than the general protagonist like the Dragonborn, Hawke, the Inquisitor, etc. (in my perspective anyway). Plus, winning against an npc that could have solo the Blight is nothing to scoff at. Beating a run of the mill soldier is nothing to brag about. You are confusing game mechanics with lore. The Warden does have an impressive resume but they are still no different than any of the other schmucks that survived the joining. The DB and the inquisitor have access to other worldly abilities and take on other worldly foes.

What draconic gear is default? I remember getting some half baked incomplete armor at the beginning of the game as default starting gear after the prologue. There is some optional dragon themed dlc weapons and armor you can equip that is available after the prologue. But that isn't default gear.

I think you are looking into it too deep. We can also wear avar and qunari stuff, it doesn't mean we have started following the Qun or Avarr customs. If it helps think of the draconic stuff as trophies since you can kill several high dragons in the game if you want.

ME5? Does that mean ME4 already released? I know about the trilogy and MEA. Old and gray? What is considered old? I've seen people in their 30's with gray hair. ME5 is just my lazy way of saying the next Mass Effect game and that it will be the 5th game in the series. Not that it will literally be called Mass Effect 5.

If any of those things happen before DA4 - especially ME5 - I will throw a shit fit for the ages. Of those on the list ME5 is the one I don't mind waiting for since I think they need to get their house in order before releasing the next ME and MEA isn't that old. But with the other ones on the list it is like all the publishers and devs collectively decided to twiddle on their thumbs for a decade as they chased market trends and games as service crap for a decade leaving singleplayer fans of some beloved franchises out in the cold.
