Hi Guys, Just curious if anyone else is a huge fan of the tavern songs from the game and knows of any fanmade ones. I found this fanmade one and love it. I wish Bioware had made tavern songs for all of the main characters (not just select ones). Anyway, share which ones are your favorites. Edit: I realized I forgot to add the songs from DLC's. Sorry guys! :gasp:

I love a good cocktail. I had a spring BBQ this past weekend and made some Spiked Ice Tea. It was hit! For your pitcher: 1 Gallon black tea brewed 1 Orange (peeled and sliced) 1 Lemon(peeled and sliced) 5 Cups spiced rum 1 Cup lemon juice Orange & Lemon rounds to float in cocktail Ice Stir & pour!

I always thought there was more to what was going on when we're introduced. Playing as a Female Cousland, I was able to flirt with him, but a lot of the dialogue was driven by her instead of him. It made me wonder if he likes strong women who say what they want. Isolde is one of these, even if it is somewhat annoyingly done (TEEEEGHAAAAAN). However he was able to put her in her place when it came to the issues at the castle and she listened, when she was not wanting to listen to anyone else. So yeah, I think they're a couple.

Since it fell 2k years ago, is there a possible connection between that and the start of darkspawn? Not blight since it would take a while for them to dig for the archdemon?
Also, The ink used in the blood writing (tattoo) is considered sacred, anyone know why?
(I ask lots of questions IRL, so if I'm asking too many, let me know!)

So I'm finally doing a playthrough as a mage EF, and trying to romance Solas but heres where my character is coming from: She is genuinely curious about other races outside of her clan. She believes that the maker is above the old gods and is the creator to end all be all. She wants to learn more to be diplomatic to ensure her people's culture is preserved. Now going at it from that viewpoint. Upon going and interacting with Solas, she wants to learn more about the elves, which makes sense and he has a lot of information, but when you ask him to help your people he gets pissed. Seriously? ISN'T THAT THE REASON FOR EVERYTHING YOU ARE DOING EGGBOY? UGH. ahem. I understand that each clan has grown apart and clung to different things, but I felt there needed to be an elven conclave to have elders and keepers along with Solas to explain what the past was, what to preserve and how to move forward as a culture or race. Trying for something like that would have been a better approach personally but considering how independent other clans can be it might not have worked. Also I feel like for Sera, she would be disinterested in it because she doesn't think it needs to be preserved. for her people are people and money talks. Other than rumors, I haven't ran into anything yet that would be discriminating. I felt it more in DAO, especially as a city elf. personally I think that elves shouldn't be subjected to the alienages and that if a man were to be poor that they would enlist themselves to serve a house or the army.
To be honest, I get that Tevinter enslaved them initially but why? I'm a bit fuzzy on the lore of it.

I really like him and my HF mage as both of them are removed from society somewhat. I have a head cannon that they end up in the countryside near denerim and the old warden keep from DAO and have an orphanage. She can heal those who need it and teach those with magic abilities before they go to the circle or chantry. While he helps build toys for them and other kids in the area while ensuring that the kids get structure and honor. I think it would help him realize he is more than his past by giving to the future.
Personally when I first met Blackwell, I thought he was really interesting and wanted to know more, but when I added him to my party I though he was going to end up with Cass because she was all over him in terms of honor and doing the right thing. Then I was confused because he gave Josephine flowers. I thought the man couldn't handle smutty books. I ended up with Cullen. My second play through I ended up with blackwell.

hmm DA confessions... I was hoping at the end of DAO to be able to help impact Denerim on a political level since cousland was so involved in the politics as queen. I'm glad they made up for the lack of intrigue in DAI. I really wish Alistair was less whiny in the fade. I understand he doesn't know whats going on but they 'heeeeeeey' when he leaves is really childish. I love his humor but it wasn't funny and it showed he was raised by dogs. I did the templar storyline in DAI once because I wanted to see if Cullen would join and end up in the fade. he didn't and I was sad. I wanted to see his torment and see more of his character growth though this setback of being in a place that was worse than the blood mages (if a demon had gotten to him, etc.). I was hoping that it would lead to him discussing the hopes of helping others that need help just like he did with his past/lyrium addiction with his inquisitor, but no...so I replayed it and went with the mages instead... I've tried replaying DAO since DAI to romance Alistair and I can't. I don't know if I can move on from Cullen. *dramatic sigh* I never use Solas, Cole or Vivienne. There, I said it.

I found this to be an interesting read: dragonage.answers.wikia.com/wiki/What%27s_the_weakest_to_strongest_nations_in_thedas
I think people are lead to believe that after the last march, Tvinter went from a global view to a more isolated one (like opposite of america going from an isolated country before WWII to an international superpower). I think the country wanted nothing more to do with anyone else and as the years passed it seemed like every country has been ignoring each other, unless you deal with grey wardens, or trade merchants. I know that each country has its own forces for sure, but in terms of sharing them under a common banner....its difficult to say. I think Tvinter is stuck on power and has limited that power craze to be internal to its nation. (Dorian pointed out that they want to create the perfect mage with looks, power, prestige, etc.) Also remember that the venatori is only a segment of his army as they had templars and demons too thanks to red lyrium. Those templars came from all over Thedas.
Didn't figure Orlais to be such a military threat. They seemed like a bunch of dandies who is more concerned with their looks and status than to be taken seriously as a military threat. I would agree but they still do some damage, and also have a Navy that was mentioned in the books. I mean Cailen was asking for a back up army from them so he must have respected their forces or their queen...I also think that the templars were a bigger force that their chevaliers, especially after the civil war.

Today is a better day than yesterday where I found myself at the unemployment office, desperately trying not to listen to other people's remarks on how they deserve much more payment than anyone else when the fact is we all need financial support. I've sat down and mapped out my finances, daily tasks and goals and grocery lists for the next week. I've also cleaned the living room and kitchen and bathroom. Now I'm sitting down to think about career paths and personal values. Shits about to get real.

I liked the balance of DAI's battle system that gave users the option of planning tactics or just running in there and button mashing (I like to mash). I think the tact planning method is a homage to turn based system in dungeons and dragons or pathfinder as you plan for each item with each character. If it were to change, I think Bioware would lose fans as its had the options for the last 3 games.

The Ancient Rome is many-sided. And Tevene is similar than Latin. Latin is lingua franca and Bysantium is even more multi-faceted, and more associated with magic, intrigue, secrecy, decadency and cultural refinement. The Tevinter of the time of conquest and domination is very much like Roman Empire, but what remains is more similar imo to Bysantium. Anyways, it's likely going to be a mix of both anyway, just like all other cultures. I was thinking that Tvinter was going to be more Ancient Roman Empire mixed with the Moors or Indian Empire influence. Arch-ways, white stone and intricate robes are making me think that. I'm also excited for the grand buildings that will be there for libraries.

I keep getting both ENTJ and ENFJ. I took a couple of questionnaires and found I'm 50/50 when it comes to T/F
ENTJ PERSONALITY (“THE COMMANDER”) ENTJs are natural-born leaders. People with this personality type embody the gifts of charisma and confidence, and project authority in a way that draws crowds together behind a common goal. But unlike their Feeling (F) counterpart, ENTJs are characterized by an often ruthless level of rationality, using their drive, determination and sharp minds to achieve whatever end they’ve set for themselves. Perhaps it is best that they make up only three percent of the population, lest they overwhelm the more timid and sensitive personality types that make up much of the rest of the world – but we have ENTJs to thank for many of the businesses and institutions we take for granted every day.
ENFJ PERSONALITY (“THE PROTAGONIST”) ENFJs are natural-born leaders, full of passion and charisma. Forming around two percent of the population, they are oftentimes our politicians, our coaches and our teachers, reaching out and inspiring others to achieve and to do good in the world. With a natural confidence that begets influence, ENFJs take a great deal of pride and joy in guiding others to work together to improve themselves and their community.
After reading both of these answers, all I can think of is, I typically will be ENFJ with friends because I don't have to make decisions around them that will impact them directly, once a problem needs to be solved or decision made, ENTJ comes out to play. It makes sense why I can be so cut-throat when it comes to hard decisions.

I prefer Wynne and Alistair in my group. I enjoy the banter between all of us, especially with Wynne genuinely concerned for my character's relationship with Alistair. I like what she has to say and as someone who had a spunky grandma who passed away last year it's nice to have that perspective. She also teases Alistair excessively but he turns around and asks her to mend his shirt. Good times.
I also have her as my healer so while Alistair kicks butt, she heals ours and then proceeds to walking bomb other opponents. Great combo.

For DAI, I would... Kiss: Varric (Because he can be sweet and sassy) Marry: Cullen (So I can have fun on the war table and spend my days with a farm full of Mabari and recovering Templars) Fuck: Iron Bull (Yeah I wanna ride the bull) Kill: Solas (I tried to like the egg head but he was just so annoying. I punched him.)
