Try setting Advanced Training to 1 in Plot > Research/Upgrades > Weapons. You can even unlock all special weapons by changing value to 2. You should lose SMG if you unlock all bonus weapons IIRC. EDIT: You will always lose heavy weapon if you unlock all bonuses. I got rid of SMG in old game, but can't remember how I did that. Tried this. And yes, the heavy weapon is still gone. I wonder if there is a way to remove the heavy weapon without the advance training, in case I want the Shotgun, SMG, pistol, and nothing else. So you don't want heavy weapons? In that case, why not just...not use them? This isn't like ME3 where carrying extra weapons can be detrimental.

Thanks! I want to try the other two games on insanity as well, I just need to figure out what class. Both mods use the new framework, so it might be worth trying again EDI surviving is part of Starchild-Be-Gone. I think it's relatively new, maybe released in the last couple of weeks. So you didn't play ME1&2 on Insanity? For ME1, I like Sentinel with the Bastion specilization and Singularity as the bonus power. You'll have your tech needs covered and overpowered biotics. Your defenses will be insane because you'll have a lot of points in Electronics, Barrier and Bastion (improves Barrier, IIRC). Bastion also upgrades Stasis, allowing the Sentinel to damage enemies through their own Stasis. For ME2, Soldier is the easiest class for Insanity. Use the Mattock, take the Widow as your bonus weapon for occassional usage, and dominate. Alternatively, Sentinel is not super powerful in ME2, but it is fun. It's extremely durable. The Assault Armor evolution of Tech Armor is both strong and fun. When you take enough damage, it detonates and pancakes enemies in a very wide radius. It's a fun way to play aggressively in relative safety; and it's the best lifesaver power in the series with the way it floors enemies. (It's also bugged to reset your allies' cooldowns, IIRC, making it OP-good.) You won't have the raw power of a Soldier or Vanguard, but you'll be versatile and very durable. No, just ME3 I got the single game achievement. That's two reliable votes for sentinel. I do like the idea of having my own singularity plus tech. That should offer plenty of flexibility for who I bring with me.

Have you had enough of Vanguard? I really enjoyed Sentinel. I've had enough vanguard for now. I'll likely play it again some time, but I want to play a different one for a while. I'm going to do a terrible decisions playthrough next, and was going to do soldier, but maybe I'll use this playthrough to experiment with a different class each game instead.

I've commented on how I feel that social media censorship isn't the way to combat misinformation, so we agree there. That said, you understand that YouTube or Twitter banning something is not the same as the government banning things, right? I'd be genuinely interested if you have an example of health officials actually flip-flopping on recommendations, versus changing recommendations based on new data. I have a treasure trove of stuff I could post, I guess the question is how can we determine if they changed based on new data or not? And twitter and google get government money, platform politicians and work with the government hand in hand, you dont think the government is telling these companies what is and isnt allowed? As an example, here is an article discussing the changing guidelines regarding whether covid can spread via contaminated surfaces or not: www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-00251-4. It's an interesting article, and the studies are linked as well.

I managed to change Shepard's loadout in ME3 via save editor just to drop a weapon I was carrying (because Shepard should be able to just set a weapon down), but it was fiddly as hell because there were several places where I had to change the loadout. I haven't tried in ME2.

Oh, gotcha. I don't want it to end, true. But I have a mod to eliminate starkid and keep EDI alive, so the ending itself isn't going to bother me. I think the mod keeps the geth alive as well, but since I sided with the quarians this playthrough, that's irrelevant for now. Nice, the MOD does keep the Geth alive and might have been why Bioware placed that the Geth and EDI died to the Destroy ending because it was VERY popular over the other two but anyway, have you been checking my ME Andromeda videos? No, I've only been watching Kim Ellendale's MELE playthrough and a new Life is Strange playthrough. I'm not the biggest Andromeda fan tbh, but I could check out a few of yours What is your channel?

Well whether the experts were misquoted or not (I personally feel that they've been flip flopping on masks and flattening the curve) the massive amount of censorship by social media has not helped matters and just make people suspicious of authority. I've commented on how I feel that social media censorship isn't the way to combat misinformation, so we agree there. I was petting my cat during the first cutscene with Coates and Anderson, and as a result I missed the paragon interrupt with Anderson. I'm seriously contemplating doing that fight again because there is no autosave from right before the cutscene. I want my awkward half-hug with Anderson, dammit. This is the little bastard whose fuzziness distracted me.

I agree with this, but I think that's part of the problem. As more was learned about covid and how it spreads, recommendations should (and did) change. Maybe the error (or one of many) early on was the amount of certainty some officials seemed to portray about both the importance and the futility of various safety measures. This should be used as an opportunity to educate people, however, not to silence them. Other than the transmissibility via surfaces which seems to still be under debate and dependent on the type of surface, has the advice really changed that much from the early days? Physical distancing, wash your hands really well before and after being out, avoid crowded spaces and in areas of medium and higher transmission, wear a mask. All of those things, along with other restrictions/requirements which varied from country to country, were designed to do exactly one thing. Buy time for vaccines to be developed. Anyone who thought those measures would be enough in the long term were not paying attention. The messaging was likely different in different parts of the world. Here, there was a time when they said people not in health care should not be wearing PPE. The reason for that was a PPE shortage, but it came across sometimes as, "If you aren't in health care, a mask won't help you." So then people started making cloth masks, and the data on those has been all over the place. And again, advice should change when new data comes in, but if someone is already mistrustful of authority, I can see how the changing recommendations without accompanying education on the issue would make people mistrust the recommendations even more. Then there were the promises that lockdowns would be "just two weeks," but the length of those lockdowns kept extending. Now, I know in some places your lockdowns were actual lockdowns, but here, "lockdown" in essence meant that restaurants, bars, schools, and entertainment venues were closed, but everything else was a free-for-all. When I did go out in order to drop off or pick things up at work, the streets were busier than ever. People went to the grocery store with the whole family just to have something to do. So then the "lockdowns" kept extending because covid kept spreading, because people weren't actually reducing their contact with others. Not to mention the absolute sham of contact-tracing conducted by both my employer and the state health department. Combating all this would have required an honest and united leadership, and we did not have that.

If Shepard already has 200% power cooldown on the weapon weight screen, will equipping armor with power cooldown bonuses shorten cooldowns even more? Or will those bonuses be wasted? Wearing armor with cooldown bonuses will decrease your cooldowns, even if you have +200% weapon weight. Same with intel bonuses. Sweet, thanks!

You'd need to take the overlap into account as well. That is, the percentage of people who caught covid early on, and then got the vaccine once available, or the people who had breakthrough infections. I agree this would be useful data to examine, though. Sure would be nice if we could have that conversation without the threat of censorship looming overhead... Who's threatening to censor you, though? I had a post/video removed some weeks ago that was critical of anti-vaxxers (the anti-vaxxers were calling for violence, and mods said the video was against proboards terms of service), and then wanted to post another video that was critical of anti-maskers (in a humorous way), and was told I couldn't because this thread is for discussing personal experiences with the pandemic, not for broader policy discussions. It's not as if you solely are being targeted. Did you have a post removed? Or do you mean censorship outside of this forum, such as YouTube or Twitter? In that case, well...for better or worse, we in the US have given private companies a ton of leeway to censor whatever they don't like. I think rather than remove conspiracy-laden content, they should put a warning on it like YouTube does for flat Earth videos. Removing all such content entirely from a large platform like YT causes a real danger of silencing honest discourse.
