An unexpected intel grabbing opportunity presented itself, so LightningPoodle Ahriman mattig89ch Ms. Noxxy Dr. Vanity and Vortex13 ran after it...  Guise...Guise...srsly...if your just gonna group up like this, your gonna make it way to easy for Vortex to nuke your asses....  Mattig hax some brains and weakens the enemy....  Guise....I thought we talked about this? 3 in a row? perfect for Poodles special trench gun shot with his shotty...3 up, 3 down, 1 shot...  Noxxy just...fucks that guy right in the face with her shotty at point blank...  Mattig drops some dude trynna flank us...  The Dr helps with that too...  Shieldbearer? No shinobis on the squad? Thats alright, crusader has special ammo just for that occassion...  You cant NOT shoot the splodey gas pumps, eh Noxx?  Poodle takes a bit up close...  Crusader nabs the last guy hiding in the woods...  Mattig nabs the intel and a little bonus...   |

Early on, Shimmers missed a shot and hit the vehicle that contained the objective and blew it up. At this point, the crew is very senior and quite powerful, and we have high level gear. We got ahead of the curve, and the aliens havent made a sizeable jump in their levels since the mutons. Once we hit the blacksite coming up soon as we get most everyone out of med bay or training where they are now, we should see a big jump in enemy strength. We do have one more tier of weapons for our crew to come as well. |

We do have one more tier of weapons for our crew to come as well. Can you win the whole game losing like lets say half of the missions? Or do you have to win almost every game? |

Yes, you can, so long as you succeed the main mission. There is also this project the aliens are working, the avatar project, and you are fighting against that. Each region freed, and each research project location you take down lowers the progress on it. Conversely, they make breakthroughs at times that increase the types and variations and strengths of the enemies. Its a balancing act most of the time, and you cant run every mission either. As it stands, I skip most of the missions that dont offer a lead or progress towards liberation cause theres just too many.

In that case, here's a character I've considered my avatar at times (I didn't really get into the Commander): Name: Merle Falkenberg Nick: Countess Sex: female Nationality: German Class: Sharpshooter Colors: Black and black Attitude: Laid back Here two screenshots:  The armor is the Wraith Suit, and her eye color is green. Also note the hard-to-see black headband.  I guess you won't be able to replicate the "Implacable" attribute she got by random chance (you'd only see it when the list is scrolling up), but the rest is pretty straightforward. As for the zoom-in, I'm familiar with that from XCOM:EU/EW, but I don't recall having ever seen it in XCOM 2. I'll have to check if I find the option. |

This is one of the big ones. Raiding an advent blacksite for material related to their mysterious avatar project. Serza takes Urdnot Lycan LightningPoodle @cristina Voluptuous Volus Vortex13 Dr. Vanity Ahriman to get the stuffs we need.  Lycan starts out by firebombing a bunch of assholes...  Crusader perforates that advent...and reveals the chryssalids roaming the area...  The Doc surgically removes that mec from the field...  Vortex laughs maniacally as he drops a big-bad-boom...  The big bugs can burrow below ground and pop right up by you...poodle got himself a lil buggly infection....  Only good bug....  Skeet shooting....  Nothing like a little plasma to the face to show someone you care....  Just shove that fucker through the wall...  Lycan drops another nade on the control room...  Credit Chit nabs this dudes brain and turns him on his friends....  Shes been laying in wait...and now Cristina rushes and dismembers well...everyone else left...  And grabs the Vial of Goo (TM)  And one more for good measure....   I think its a toss up at this point as for whos the scariest on the squad. Harlequin or Cristina? |

Alright ladies and gentlemen. This mission might as well have been operation clusterfuck. Major story mission to secure an alien psionic gateway. I took Otter mattig89ch laughingman Ahriman LightningPoodle @vella Heimdall Urdnot Lycan and Trilobite DerbyAll outfitted with our new top tier weapons. Coil guns for the troops, elerium cannon for Heimdall. Prepare yourselves, comrades. This mission was brutal, long and features our first loss of a BSN squadmate... will be broken down to multiple posts, bare with me.  The mission featured a ton of enemies and multiple objectives. One of the objectives was to use my skulljack on a codex enemy. Just after landing, we spot one and I rush to it and stab its brain....  This...was the first sign that this might go sideways. I present you with the Berzerker Queen. The second of the alien rulers. Remember the Snake King from before? Yeah...super powered Berzerker with giant gauntlets, self healing, and psi powers. Amidst two dozen other enemis that came at us at the same time...  And the second indication that things would be totally fucked...I present you the enemies Avatar. That whole avatar project thing? Yeah...has all of the psi powers to levels beyond anything anyone else can get, plus has the ruler alien bonuses of free moves whenever you move....  Also...chrysalliids...everywhere. Me doing my best to handle some chrysallids and keep the Berzerker Queen occupied....  The Avatar mind controlled Crusader....  Harlequin let loose his own mega psi blast on the Avatar, and then turned around and freed Crusader from its control...  Poodle lets loose with a double shot of shotty at point blank on the Queen....  So many enemies swarming, Lycan drops a plasma grenade right in the middle of them...  Heimdall follows suit and drops one of his bombs in a group as well....  I took some heavy damage, and got Chrysallid poisoned and then stunned from trying to tank the Queen and that group so...Otter saving my ass....  Mattig makes a nice long shot and takes an Advent rocketteer out...  Vella neutralizes a heavy mec  |

Part 2 Derby uses her fancy pistol skillz and shoots at everyfuckingbody!
She dropped a few and softened up a large number of the others. I wish I could show them all but here you go...  Throwing my axe at that muton cause you cant melee a muton...  We did enough damage to the Queen to make her run away, thankfully...we wouldnt have beaten her in the long term without more losses this time around...  The enemy firebombs us...mattig, crusader, and otter took a heavy hit here...  Poodle at point blank dismantling a mec  This is hard to see, but Crusader, recovered from his mind control, saturates this entire fire with his heavy cannon, and drops three enemies and injures a few others  Heimdall drops another bomb....  Otter might be a little burned but...she still takes out that muton  Vella puts some rounds through a tree to hit a fucker across the chasm  A second firebomb on Mattig and Otter!!!  Mattig fell to this one, and did not get back up right away....  |

Part 3... Harlequin, for all his scary shit, came through this time, he takes out the Snek sniper (sneker? Sniker? shrugs) then he turned out and used his backup medkit to restore otter from burning to death, which in turned allowed her to stabilize and save Mattig. He was out of the fight, but at least hed survive...if the rest of us did that is.  Lycan drops some firebombs of his own...  Heimdall goes toe to toe with this thng, called and Andromedan... its a little dude in a big fucking suit....  The camera would not cooperate, cause we ended up in a corner of the mountain ledge, but Derby and I double teamed the Avatar. Between our bonus crits to organic enemies, our armor shreadding, and our automatic counterattack abilities when anything comes next to us, we managed to drop him in 2 rounds. Yay ninja teamwork! Lycan cracks the andromedan open and kills the thing within, but the suit continued on...  At least until Heimdall could punch it again...  Crusader lets loose on a group of mecs that came to take us by surprise, hiding around a corner...  Poodle rushes to handle those sneaky mecs trying to flank us, lines up two of them and takes them out in one awesome shot from his shotgun...  However...despite his heroic charge and great attack, the tables were turned on him when this mec jumped up behind him and opened up with a full auto burst at point blank range....  Alas, Master Sergeant LightningPoodle fell that day.  But the battle must continue! I bring sweet revenge to the MEC that dropped him....  And derby drops the last from that group...moving on  |

Heimdall starts the fight, shredding some of its tough ass armor...  Vella puts a special ammo round through it...  Crusader opens on with his heavy cannon, and cracks the shell...  I lay in to the soft pink stuffs inside...(PHRASING!)  Uh, im sure theres a fetish for this sorta thing somewhere...  Also, fisting....  Making humpty dumpty there go BOOM  It was a tough one, for sure....  And lets pour one out for Lightningpoodle... RIP :sob:  |
