CP2077 makes Andromeda look like a well-polished gem hewn from a forgotten Thaig. I finished one of these games. Not sure I'll ever play either again, but I finished Andromeda.
I've finished both once. And started both a second time. I'll deny it, of course.
At this point, both games have memes to offer, and we should all be grateful.

Their forum has not taken this well.
I am of half a mind to simply uninstall at this point, since eventually it will be better to just have a clean install with any DLC they eventually produce. I find it hard to imagine buying DLC for it though, this has been a very familiar experience from a developer that I thought was on a better trajectory.

I haven’t visited the forum, but I haven’t had any problems myself. They seem to have gotten rid of the resource-saving tactic of details not popping in at long distances, at least on PS5.

The overwhelming response over the 12 pages of comments I read, was disappointment.
From "Fresh User" to "Forum Veteran", there are the thank you posts with a couple likes here and there, with well-articulated arguments of dissatisfaction being far more popular.
I don't comment there very often, as I don't feel great passion for their games (while still enjoying The Witcher series enough to play through them all multiple times). I had really hoped CP would change that, but instead it feels like another reason to be a very cautious gamer regarding purchasing decisions. Patience is best.

Yeah i have historically always been a day 1 purchaser of CD Red games. This game will make me much more cautious going forward, less for the bugs(very lucky to be on PC rather than console) but more how they handle/invalidate choice that i found so dissatisfying. Haven't uninstalled yet(more cos i don't have a need for that space currently) but they have to do something special to address issues to convince me to purchase expansions for it.

I notice 1.23 is somewhere in the yellow bar. I guess that’s something to chew on for a second.

I am skeptical unless CDPR manages the studio in Vancouver differently then the Poland offices.

blog.playstation.com/2021/07/09/playstation-store-june-2021s-top-downloads/CP2077 was the top downloaded PS4 game on June despite being only available for 9 days of June and with a warning for the PS4 version, probably thanks to the fact that it's backwards compatible and PS5 upgrade is free. The chart only includes native PS5 games and not backwards compatibility, while the PS4 category includes all PS4 versions, a more detailed breakdown would be interesting.

The radio silence from CDPR regarding coming DLC is strangely familiar.
I would like a reason to care about playing this. They just never give me one.

Didn't they nerf the Burya in the 1.23 patch? Because I just loaded my level 42 character save from last Winter and it doesn't feel like it was nerfed. One-shooting every enemies through lots of walls with it. In the Downtown area.

The Overture I have will one shot headshot any trash add with no problem even on higher difficulty.

www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2021/08/11/cdprs-cyberpunk-2077-eternal-silence-is-just-bizarre-at-this-point/Something is seriously wrong at the studio. They usually release fixes and updates pretty quick, and this game has only received a few patches that have fixed some stuff. No DLC and no real gameplay improvements. After 8 months. They have around 1000 devs now, and no company can afford to have that many people just muddling around with patches for this long. They've either moved them to another project or they're overhauling the game - but zero communication doesn't inspire confidence. No other dev I know has been silent this long after a botched release. They also claimed the first major DLC is coming this year...Ha. I seriously doubt that.

I thought it was only the minor free DLCs that were coming this year, according to that timeline they released a few months ago. The expansions they have stated are still happening, but I imagine they’ll be 2022.

Considering what the community's like, being communicative at this point doesn't seem like a good idea anyway. If they're fixing to do something, it's best to just do it, and not give ammunition to people who are ready to just throw it back at them no matter what they say.

I won't be surprised if this radio silence is actually a corpo strategy to avoid anymore bad press. I also won't be shocked at ALL if the CDPR offices are in complete shambles & sinking like the fucking Titanic
