Hidy ho all,
By the end of 3, I know about 2 couples that form on the normandy. Garrus/Tali, and Ash/Vega. My question is, is that all? If I chose to save Kaiden instead of ash, does he get together with Miranda? Is there an outcome where Traynor and Liara hook up? Are there any other NPC couples that happen because of the normandy?

The comic guys hinted that Feron and Liara might have a thing (at least the commentary on the new edition). That might be the case more if she's single or becomes single. You also forgot Joker/EDI. Then there's Ken and Gabby.

*smacks forehead* I forgot about Joker/EDI. Thanks for reminding me. Do Ken and Gabby become a couple? So far, they've never survived in my play through's. Mostly because I needed my squad mates to be ready more then I needed a crew at that point. But rushing in there and rescuing them, before my squad was ready, is something I'd like to do in one play through.

Well, a good trick is to keep a handful of N7 missions open on your map (like scan some of those mission planets and get the waypoint, but don't do the mission right away). Leave them open and you can do Legion's loyalty mission after the Collector ship and another mission, I think. Gives you a couple of slot timers/breathing room, so the game doesn't rush right away to the IFF/Collector attack with Joker. If that makes sense? Basically gives you time to get some things done and then rescue your crew.

Do you mean side missions? I don't think there are N7 missions in 2. That said, I would love to have that exploit. Save the crew, and the squad. I did that once, in my first play through. No idea how I did it, and haven't been able to repeat the process.

But actually scan the planets first.. they'll be uncounted if you just leave the planets alone.

No idea how I did it, and haven't been able to repeat the process. You have to wake up Legion right away, make his loyalty mission, and then you have time for one more loyalty mission. HOWEVER... there is a trick. You can do two missions more if you let Tuchanka, for example. Because once you have Mordin's loyalty you can do Grunt's without coming back to the ship. The sad thing is you won't have all Mordin's dialogue (you will hear the one he talks about art and he sings and after the Collector attack you will have the sex advice conversation, but I think it's possible you miss the one he speaks about his nephew).

You have to stalk Ken/Gabby at the engineering until they're out of ambient dialogues and then Gabby will start to get annoyed about tolerating Ken's sexist talk about other women because he's still being stubborn to do something about 'them'. If you side with Gabby, later you'll find them kissing at the area where Jack used to live.
I didn't let Joker hook up with EDI but the conversation before Cronus station didn't change (Shepard still refer EDI as his girlfriend), neither does their convo in Citadel DLC. Which is a pity. But I choose destroy anyway.
Tali/Garrus hook up without your encouragement anyway and you can't break them up unless you romance one of them.
As for others.. Javik is somewhat interested in Liara if you Paragon him, he would love to write some books with her. He was fascinated with her blueness as well. Kaidan mention he 'admire' Liara in ME1 but he's a bit appreciative with EDI's new body... so does with Joker and Traynor.
You can joke about Miranda/Jack but whether they really hook up, its headcanon territory.
I kinda want James and Cortez to pair up together. They flirt with each other mildly but so far they're just fast friends. Ashley and James only happen in the DLC and never mentioned in the base game.
Zaeed really like Samara but she ignored him.

Kasumi has a bit of a thing for Jacob, but she's destined to be heartbroken just like a Jacobmancing FemShep. I feel worse for Kasumi in a way, she'd just lost her previous boyfriend and taking an interest in Jacob might have been a sign of her moving on. Grunt possibly also carries a torch for Liara, be mutters something about finding a blue rock for her while sobering up in Shep's shower in the Citadel DLC. James and Cortez do have a lovely relationship, but I don't think it would be romantic because James doesn't swing Steve's way. However, best platonic buddies forever, all the way.
I personally ship singleton Liara with singleton Traynor, but i also think Kaidan and Miranda would make a cute couple. But this probably only happens in my head.

I generally dislike the concept of pairing the spares. I prefer the grim dark idea that most people don't survive the war, and they don't end up together for the ones that do.

I like to play matchmaking. These NPCs have their own life as well.
I like Kaidan and Jack pairing. Both of them hate Cerberus, both of them have similar history (ruined childhood, Jack's experiment was based on BAat program), Kaidan bequeathed a lot for the kids on Grissom Academy. They teach people biotic.

Or just wants to be as good as Kaidan was, and not a jerk anymore. lol. I don't know. It's complicated.

Thanks for the feedback all!
I'm kinda surprised Kaiden doesn't have a romance in 3, if he lives. I might have to try and play a fem shep, save him, and not romance him. Just to see what he's like after surviving. I could play a male shep, but I can't help but save ash with a male shep. What can I say? I'm an ash fan.

Kaidan does mention going out with a doctor on the Citadel, trying to let himself have a life if Shepard romanced him, other than that, he does fine training a biotic team. You'll get more missed content if you romance him though, much more information than if you just stay friends.

Maybe if Tali is gone I could see that work. Would be nice if Joker got more interest, outside EDI. He's gonna be bummed in my Destroy endings.

I liked it best when Joker's regard for EDI was more vague in ME2, simply because EDI being a love interest was too obvious and predictable. It could have been interesting seeing the affection some people can have for a ship remain platonic. It also brings up a more disturbing question of whether Joker sees himself able to have a relationship with another human being or does he see his chances shot because of his Vrollik syndrome?

Yeah that sucks. It's like they make him hopeless, without some out-of-this-world intervention. :\ That doesn't reflect what kind of things real people endure.

Dr Michel holds a torch for Garrus, but nothing ever comes of it because he's utterly oblivious to her affections. The other squadmates tease him about his innocent chick magnet status in ME3 when he casually mentions she sent him some Turian chocolates, but doesn't know why.
Traynor is seriously turned on by EDI's voice. She's rather mortified when she finally learns that EDI is an AI, rather than the VI like she'd initially believed her to be and has to apologise for all the comments she's made about her voice. She accidentally lets it slip again during the Citadel DLC.

On the Citadel, it's hinted that Tali has a crush on Garrus even if Shepard is in a relationship with him. She'll drunkenly talk about thinking over a threesome with them in the bathroom. "Garrus? You're with Shepard! Oh, the three of us, well, hmmm..."

Tali crushed hard on M!Shep and Garrus is in many ways the Turian equivalent of a Paragade Shepard, so it's only natural that she'd be attracted to the same qualities in our friendly neighbourhood Archangel. A threesome with Tali, Garrus and FemShep? Don't tease us with these things, Bioware?!

It's really not that difficult to gain the loyalty of your entire squad and save the crew. You just have to do the loyalty missions before getting the IFF. Then do Legion's as soon as you get it. Trust me, I've had everyone survive the SM.

I was playing the genophage subplot in ME3, and a few funny bits appeared about Mordin trying to set up Eve with Garrus based on him having scars, which apparently the Krogans chics dig, then I went to chat to Garrus who was worried about someone wanting to cement the Krogans-Turians alliance with a marriage. Scars came up again. Liked that dialogue sequence, though would not want it to carry further not to overdo the comedy.
