After "Bastila best romance thread" which I completely disagree with as I see Bastila as a nagging goody goody mum, I had to make this thread as I absolutely loved everything about Visas character in Kotor 2. So mysterious, different and beatiful in many ways (and her voice). I just had to make a copy of her in SWTOR on the first opportunity I got. (but she doesn't have her original veil in the video, "helmets" get removed in conversations, otherwise she's 99% alike). Still, serves as good tribute to me and I absolutely love playing her as a sort of a legacy character in TOR. Discuss.

"My life is yours"
Besides the fact that her voice actress is smoking hot, and the fact that veils don't bother me at all, I agree she is great and my favorite male romance option for TSL.

Checked her VA, you were right. And damn. And yes, the veil makes it even more interesting. And no, it's not a veil fetish. It's just honestly, I think I felt really sorry for her. I just wanted to embrace and cuddle her, and tell everything will be ok. Her story was really touching and sad, yet she was dealing with it. What a strong woman.
The best romance ever is not just a troll themed thread, I actually mean it. This was way more interesting than Bastila or I don't know, Miranda or Liara. Tali comes really close, I guess it has to be something about the mistery of the hidden face and fragile culture, race.. And feeling sorry for them. They share some similarities there, and I was a huge Tali fanboy/romancer. And it's not just because you "accept them" for feeling sorry, it just makes them more precious and lovable this way. You want to protect and love them and it feels good.

I've never actually romanced her before. It wasn't from a lack of interest, but rather not knowing how to romance her.

I liked her voice, and wanted to enjoy the romance arc, but it sort of fell flat, like much of KotOR2, because of the game's unfinished state.

Did the restoration mod for KOTOR 2 TSL ever see the light of day? Never completed the game... Last planet looked too much Borg quit after moon droid encounter.
If the mod did get released did it fix the arc falling flat? Did it remove the unfinished state feeling of TSL? Otherwise nevermind.

The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod got a massive new patch that was released last year. Did it fix the unfinished state feeling? Did they actually give it a satisfying conclusion? Well, it added "clarity and closure"... But seriously, it fixes a ton of bugs and adds, I believe, a couple of hours worth of extra comment across the game. The conclusion resolves a few hanging issues as well. Whether you find it satisfying or not I can't say. It doesn't really change the ending, but it fills in several gaps that would make you go "wait, what about..."

Bastila romance was the most kinky one written into a bioware game. Remember how she basically offered up herself at your feet if you turn darkside? I always go dark side.

Whoa whoa whoa
Pump the brakes.
People actually made a "Bastilla Best Romance thread"?
I mean maybe if I was 15 again I'd still think that.
I replayed that game a year or two ago and my thoughts on her character did a complete 180. She's obnoxious as hell and no amount of Han-Leia like back and forth will change the fact that she's actually just kind of an entitled bitch that people give a pass because she's easy on the eyes and can meditate like really well.

Idunno. It seems like she only likes the PC because she can feel his power and she likes that. It's not really because of who he is as a person, kinda like how Liara has a nerd crush on Shepard because he's the only human that can understand prothean beacons and that makes her hot for him.

I always liked the Handmaiden more, but that's just me.
Not knowing her real name until the end of the game was interesting.

I like Visas Marr, but the romances in KoToR 2 are kind of dull. Not that they are any better in KoToR.
Agree with Warrior DM though, Hand Maiden is much more Interesting. A shame she is a gender gated companion.

That decision was always so weird to me. I remember reading that originally the Handmaiden would appear if the Exile were Light Sided, and Visas if Dark Sided. That would have made a bit more sense, but still seems like odd game design.

I'm glad they changed that, and you can get both Handmaiden and Visas regardless of alignment. I always thought it was weird that Mical wouldn't join up with a male exile and Brianna wouldn't with a female exile. It just doesn't make sense to me and you also loose a ton a information with one of them gone. I 'm not sure I would even call the content in TSL "romances" at all, but what little content there was I preferred Visas' to Handmaiden. She was just a better fit with my male Exile than Handmaiden was. It's been over a decade and I'm still salty with Obsidian for not having any romance content with Bao-Dur for a female Exile.

I actually liked how they handled it, it's kind of open to interpretation. Dunno, those scenes when two characters swear eternal love for one another ( after three conversations), feel forced with too many holes throughout. Similar thing is with Christine ( was that her name?) from NV: Dead Money.
Reason why I didn't like Bastilla's ( or many other Bioware romances). It lacks spontaneity, strong relationship development that endures hardships, etc. Viconia and Jaheira romances are probably the best BW has done so far.

Visas was the first mind-fuck I ever had.
Like, I think that's what they do in Kreia's room.
The romances in TSL were all desperate, but also recognized the fluidity of the situation. The Exile isn't really the type of person for serious LTR. S/he went into exile... That alone tells you something. Ergo, while there are plenty of strong emotional attachments going on on the Ebon Hawk during TSL, they are more "adult" somehow in the content, IMO.
