I'm getting it, well need to see more footage but I'm interested in this. I don't have friends who like SWTOR but like the other Bioware games, such as Mass Effect and it's gameplay so a multiplayer story experience similar to that? Why not and also the whole mech suit shtick sounds and looks awesome, I can't wait for the new lore/ world building and story(they confirmed there is a story at least).

I'm looking forward to news about Cyberpunk 2077. I heard that this may feature an online/multiplayer component too, could be good

At this point I'm likely no, but haven't 100% decided that. If there is a CC, dialogue options, and a good SP story that may be enough for me to play. However, I don't think this game will have companions so that's a huge turn off. Plus the 1st person camera in hub and then being stuck in a suit (3rd person) are not appealing.

I'm looking forward to news about Cyberpunk 2077. I heard that this may feature an online/multiplayer component too, could be good CP isn't really known for "powers" - the kind that made the ME gameplay fun for me, but I played the original RP game. MP in general to me is about good combat mechanics - SP lives by immersive worlds and stories. If a game can offer both, I take it.

From what we've seen so far, the game looks nice, but then again, a lot of titles look good in their early stages, but later on down the road get downgraded in terms of looks, with ME: Andromeda, Watch Dogs and The Division being the more egregious examples I can think of immediately.
I don't mind Bioware doing something different, as it shows they are willing to do something a little unorthodox; even if it's shaping up to be a third-person Destiny, I'd welcome it, as I do favor third-person shooters over first.

Andromeda not only made me lose all respect for Bioware but cautious of ever pre ordering again. The footage shown is amazing but something is off. That footage is definitely not correct much like Watchdogs pulled.
What pisses me off the most is why the flying fuck didn't MEA get the love this game obviously has.........
Mass Effect is a joke now around the office when we talk about bad video games.... my favorite franchise.

First off, this is courtesy of The Know, they had some suggestions on what to call XBox One X. First of all, Xbonex (kind'a like ebonics), and second of all, XBox OneX (pronounced Onyx).
Take your pick pick, I don't really care.

Reading a preview, they noticed some aliasing and texture penetration in certain parts, so it was 'real'. Downgrades can still happen though, but I think the game will reasonably look much better then Andromeda. I think it's pretty clear the latter suffered from a focus on resources on Anthem. Hopefully it won't happen again.

Just to add i can see this being the most successful game in Bioware history with all the Destiny, division and borderlands fans jumping on it.
Shame mass effect had to suffer you can see a big difference between these two games that use the same engine.

"The whole experience is “frictionless.” And it’s “absolutely” possible to play through the entire game solo." "The game will include a “great BioWare story” also giving players the freedom to tell their own story, as they explore and uncover new things." If it's possible to get the story and play it solo, it could greatly resemble what we're playing now in the single player experience. We'll have to wait and see. Well it's possible to play KOTOR solo but since the game is designed to be played as a group it ends up just being a painful experience. that's is only an issue for people 2ho want to do everything.

Too early to get excited and I don't like to "share my world", but I like most Bioware games, so.....it's a maybe? Def not a pre-order though. I'd need to see some serious gameplay by actual players to make up my mind.

WHEN WILL PEOPLE LEARN. UBISOFT IS THE KING OF BAIT AND SWITCH. I have never played AC before, because the settings that interested me were in the older games with poorer graphics. Which means the whole point of playing it is lost. I also was thinking this morning that the VO in the trailer is probably not the Protagonist's voice, so that's one thing to double check. Still, if they deliver the setting with a silent protagonist, and he does look like that, I would like to go climb a few walls and kill a few high priests for the aesthetics. No other game was set in a realm that appealed to my imagination. They were all post-apocalyptic or failry, and those are not my thing. my list of games to buy atm is Tyranny, Prey and AC:O once I get them on sale, b/c I am risking trying a new (or, in case of Obsidian, outdated) game and two of them from developers I have not tried yet. look. Ac is a series that looks good on paper but has a horrible exacution. They always do interesting setting but mess it up with near everything else. They did the crusades, Renaissance, pirates, freach revolution, us revolution, and British industrial age and they all muck it up with grundy open world crap. And then came watch dogs and then devising and so on with the same crap. Sorry but history points to with UBISOFT that it will be the same grindy mess. Do not get your hopes up with ubisoft games. They are worse then ea.

I thought it looked very nice. The stunning visuals and fluidity of the gameplay look amazing, though I doubt it will end up looking this good when the game releases. That's just the nature of trailers vs. actual game unfortunately - especially since the trailer marked it as 'pre-Alpha' didn't it? I would expect the final game to look amazing but not to the caliber it does here. Overall the concept seems interesting and it looks like a fun game to play. This was definitely a nice tease to get a sense of what the game might be like, some game play variety and team-work component but not enough to sell someone completely one way or the other, in my opinion.
Right off the bat, I'll say I don't think it's for me. Back in the heyday of my gaming career it likely would have been on my interest list but after getting married and having children, my game play time is severely limited and I mostly stick exclusively to RPGs like Fallout, Skyrim and Mass Effect.
Some interesting points I thought:
- The gameplay is jaw-dropping from what I've saw. The fluidity of it, going from the jump jetpack, to landing, to shooting, to dodging looks great. - The environment looks incredibly detailed and interesting to explore. You probably wouldn't get visually bored - Diving underwater to find a fully developed landscape while gun fire rained around you looks amazing - The voice acting is iffy.. if that's even what it was at all. I wasn't totally clear whether those were actual characters being voice acted or if it was supposed to be the gamers over microphones speaking to each other? It seemed like the latter considering they were talking about "XP" and the gamey-gun names. If that's the case, I don't anticipate that at all in game because unless you play with a clan no one talks like that. - Shared world action games akin to Destiny (which is likely what this game will probably forever be compared to) don't excite me all that much over all. Waiting for a "squad" to show up hopefully isn't a prerequisite that will lock you out of content. - I am curious about customization. They mention that you can customize your Javelin with one of three classes and then further about what it looks like. I'm curious if that extends to the character you play as? Also when you are out of your suit are you always in first person?
All in all, I thought the game showed some great features but also has some questions left unanswered. That's to be expected from the first reveal. I'm not totally against Bioware branching out with the types of games they create as long as their bread and butter character based RPGs aren't sacrificed as a result. It can be argued that MEA suffered as a result of this "Destiny knockoff" but I'm not convinced of that. This game is Edmonton based and Montreal handled MEA which seemed like the next step after they built the expansions for ME3, right?

I liked the demo. Many people forget that Bioware started with Mech suits, and had co-op in their first titles like BG and NWN. I am happy to see a return of this. As for the poll, no option really fits. If it ends up good, i'll buy it, but i won't pre-order.

The purpose of this demo was to show off a vertical slice of the gameplay, specifically in a way that showed off the awesome effects and the new tech capability (Possibly at the request of Microsoft, depending on when that deal was worked out to have it at their press conference). I wouldn't necessarily make any snap judgements on what the focus on characters in this is. They do have a full writing team from what we know.

This is one of my big questions too after the reveal. I don't really mind not having companions out in the field, if the hub is filled with interesting characters you can relate too and help you care about whats going on. I think it could go either way. Based on the belly laugh from the developer in the youtube interview when asked about romances, I'd say they are either in or he finds it hilarious how much BioWare fans obsesses with them.
