I'd really like it if we had NPC party members that we could take with us into the world as backup for when we don't have friends online. When your out and about and one of your friends wants to join in they can take the party member's place or if your friend has to go out/eat dinner/etc. one of your party members can hop in to the group so your squad isn't down a man. Plus it would keep the tradition of BW having interesting and well-written party members.
Anthem might be Bioware's version of Destiny but if they offered that, story and lore that's not tied to an outside of game app, and offered a superior endgame mechanic than the RNG acquisition of gear and Light systems Destiny employs then I'd gladly jump ship for Anthem.

Plus it would keep the tradition of BW having interesting and well-written party members. The one concern from Bioware's perspective might be that they don't want people to feel like they were missing out on banter and such by adventuring with friends. They might not like the trade off. Then again, those inclined to adventure with friends more than solo probably care a bit less about hearing less character banter.

Constant 3rd or 1st person option. Save options, not loss of content with time restraints. Player vs Player activity (about 10-20% of my opinion wants this)
3rd person, capabilities to prone and crouch movements. Powerful near one shot snipers, nearly inaccurate without prone/crouch. The ability to lock down a crouch stationary position as if I'm rooting my character to the ground to use a powerful weapon (the snipers), by which if not rooted the recoil of the shot would bring the site and barrel dramatically 90 degrees and shaking.
I want missions, dungeons, and raids that don't always take 3+ hours to finish and reap rewards. I want to be able to enjoy the destructive and difficult content while playing 1 hour at a time. I want to be able to have many Safe Save options to be able to say "yeah lets go to dinner now, I can finish this later" rather than "sorry I'm in the middle of this can we go in about an hour?"
I'd like a Player vs Player section, I don't care if it's meaning less to the game and has little to no reward other than wasting time and enjoying the gameplay. If it were something as minimal as a small squarish map with with Bases on opposite corners and random minions that help each team destroy the opposing base. Possibly a maze like map. I do not want a focus on Player vs Player, just the choice to play against friends, "haha I'm better than you, nana boo boo, stick your head in doo doo".

Corey asked, so what do you reckon? Corey Gaspur @cgaspur Fans! What is the number one thing you want to see in @anthemgame !! We are eager to hear your feedback. Let's keep up the positive energy: I would love to see a support class Jav, and for it to be viable when it comes to exploring ruins/raids. With my preference as a healer in most games I play, I think if the game had encounters where you couldn't just shoot/power ability your way through and required tactical SP or organized MP where having a healer/healing ability would put you at a strong strategic advantage.

From my experience as a Bioware fan:
- Character creation;
- Awesome story with consequences;
But mainly, From my experience as a casual Destiny player:
- Please, don't release content that locks me out of huge parts of the main game if I don't buy the fucking expansion. I wanna keep playing your game even if I don't have money for the expansion, because I've paid for the main game!

A single player option. I hate multiplayer, I hate dealing with other players online. If this is exclusively online multiplayer, I will not even buy or play the fucking thing.

I think there is still going to be a Character Creator. The last time BioWare had a game where you couldn't customize your character's appearance was Jade Empire. I don't know how involved the Character Creator will be, but we did see a closeup of the character in the Anthem demo. Obviously, we'll probably be running and flying around in Javelins for most of the experience.

In general, I want to see a lot of the customization options that we've grown accustomed to. I want to be able to change my armor and its colors, and be able to do the exact same for my casual outfit. Obviously, I want casual outfits as well, but, even if we don't have casual outfits to choose from, I would at least like the option to customize it. I would also like to see some kind of bar or casino where players can gather, socialize, and play some mini-games like Quasar or something.
Based on my time playing Destiny, I want beards. Destiny wouldn't let me have anything but a clean shaven face and that was disappointing.

A true single player experience that doesn't feel like a watered down version of MP, that is quality enough in it's own right to justify the price tag. If not and Bioware want to make a pure MP experience then that'll make me sad obviously, but I'll accept it and wish them well. I just don't want them advertising a SP campaign that's an after thought. .

Hi first time poster here. I like many are not into online games but like role playing games, so I have not bothered to connect my ps4 online ever
First response by people is how does this effect me? Well I have been told my ps4 pro outperforms any online ps4 but I have not missed DLCs
Anthem IMHO should be like other games that offer offline story content. Online games fall into 2 categories, those that have no campaign and those that do have a campaign but force you to be online. Most online games have failed recently by them putting all their eggs in one basket. Online communities can kill a game, by including bot support and having a good story you can spread the risk of the game
I really like mirrors edge catalyst and mass effect andromeda and I think the online content for these games is just about right
I would like anthem to have bot support and be able to be played with a single player or not partners. Here in Australia a low population and ping issues turn many people away from online games
Campaigns also let games developers control their IP more and make it easier to effectively keep their IP on track/theme. Most online that have recently failed have done so not because of the game mechanics but online or community issues so making an offline component can be a former of insurance for an online game
IMHO I would like to see anthem have as much offline content at release and then have roughly yearly expansions also available on disk
PS I did beta testing for games and can appreciate the products you guys put out. As I said I love mirrors edge and mass effect, both technically amazing games but as you guys know the industry and consumers are so unpredictable that it's almost blind luck if a game is successfull. Adding offline content can minimize the games risk and maximize the games players
Thanks

It's just in your last praragraph you sound like you are trying to address to the industry rather than the fans. Twitter is the direct way to try to speak to Bio if you are looking for it. fwiw, I agree with your sentiments, and I am aware of the troubles experienced by the APAC region with the population/online games. You, guys, are really unlucky. Here, in Canada, we get to join the States gamers, so it's not bad, despite some connection/lag issues.

Adding offline content can minimize the games risk and maximize the games players Thanks As was said above, this is not an official forum for BioWare. The official BSN forum was shut down last year. This one just happens to share the same name (it also says "New Unofficial Forums" at the top). In regards to your post, while I do think the game will have single player content (I believe coop will be optional but fully integrated), I also am under the impression the game will likely be mandatory online. There is a chance that we could have companions that fill the role of other players, but we'll need to wait for more information on that. Even though it seems playing alone will be a viable option, I also believe BioWare does want to connect all players in the social hub, and show that you are not just by yourself in this experience. The idea is to bring players together, not separate them. Also, we have no idea what the server infrastructure for this game is going to look like. At least in the case of MMOs, the Oceania/Pacific region tends to get its own server. Of course, that also depends on the interest and demand for the games in that region of the world, so no guarantees. We'll find out soon enough, but I do not believe this will be a single player game with a separate multiplayer component. The multiplayer is likely tied to the experience, but grouping with others will likely not be required to play the game.

Thanks for your response
I hope all goes well for anthem. Unfortunately online games do fall into MMO and multi player. Destiny has had a huge backlash against it for its 10 year plan, many online games have failed.
What I would suggest is anthem follow games like titan fall 2 or the battlefields and have on offline component that would make it worth buying for a traditional 12-15 campaign. It could also be used to offer people who play single player games a taste of MMOs
I understand MMOs are different to multipliers but IMHO games like metal gear v survive has a good balance of online/offline
Thanks

I want a good story, great characters, good side content, detailed lore, and a crap load of possibilities of building a character. Given the fact that it is a destiny clone and the recent history of Bioware, the first 3 points are with a big question mark.

The ability to play it as if it were sp (meaning no missions requiring 4,3, or even 2 players) and the ability to "hide" other players in my game.

I want an emotional and complex story, intense but also entertaining dialogues. Romance. And I would like my choices to really influence the end of the story.

I want it to make the mp/sp balance like Diablo not Destiny. You could play the campaign without the need for mp and it had a pretty solid plot, if it will be like that I'm sold.

Things I need to see: Compelling narrative + world + characters; reliable social features (clans + matchmaking); solid and continued support (content).
Things I reject: Microtransactions; loot box gam[e]bling; chopped content; general nickel n' dime-ing BS.

Its hard for me, for I have two things and one is what I want to see and another is something I don't want to see.
Right now what I want to see the most is that if I wanted to I could play the game alone.
The problem is I have something that eclipses that more and its something I don't want to see in a lootbox system. I accepted the ME3 lootbox system for I could earn the exact same boxes in game and I had a group of friends that would play gold/plat difficulties and earn credits at a decent rate while also being given all the MP DLC for free. The problem I am seeing is the trend in currently/upcoming games that the systems are becoming mandatory instead of an alternative with no benefit for the player aside from gambling on the boxes. (I have tried to word this better, but it is hard for me to exactly put it into words why these new systems bother me more).
