One guy with a gun (specifically an ME gun) is more powerful than all of the DA-verse combined. I dunno, magic in the DA-verse can be pretty extreme. And I'm convinced Sandal could take out a Reaper, though we'd never know how.

I've never played ME because I prefer swords, bows and magic in my games, not guns and lasers. I especially hate first person shooter games, my vision and reaction time is too slow to ever hit a target.

There is an awesome "only way to stop a bad guy with a gun, is a good guy with a couple of dragons" meme out there somewhere, but for the life of me I can't find it.

And I'm convinced Sandal could take out a Reaper, though we'd never know how. hmm it would be pretty awesome to have a team of ss+aw+archer+ ss from the DAI mp to use in the me3mp, pretty sure that team would just rick roll everything even on platinum, actually the aw could probably solo everything but the geth (cos you know stun locking missile glitching cheaters) although he might struggle against the sync killers if frost step was on cooldown seriously though as team of dai mages would rock against the me3 bad guys, but i'm not so sure the opposite would be true, I suppose a team of shotgun equipped vanguards could do some damage but really they just don't have the same barrier generation attack spam of the multiplayer characters, so chances are me3 would loose unless they had nade spam and a zero cd pylon to refresh from in ever zone never mind the final one, those magic attacks and arrow storms would just inflict too much damage, never mind you would need the cain to kil lthe dragon before the entire team was kia....

I actually really want dragon age and mass effect to crossover... like... I want them to be in the same universe even if the characters dont meet or anything... maybe dragon age is set after mass effect who knows maybe everything goes like... boom... resulting in dragon age I want it Like even if they dont actually crossover just find a reaper leg or a ship wreckage or something in dragon age... it would be fun

I like both a lot so I can't really choose between them. I'd say I like better the one I'm currently playing.

Mass Effect for a myriad of reasons but the first would be same protagonist throughout and the last is VANGUARD CHARGE!! Then a bunch of reasons in between.

One reason I prefer Mass Effect (and Science Fiction) is because it largely supports ideology and technology that would be considered progressive and for the future without resorting to whims based on magic or non-reality.
It's not necessarily less imaginative, but the style of imagination is more... grounded in reality, since Sci-fi tends to ground itself in our own time with more philosophical, political, technological, and speculative structures of narrative. In other words, science fiction is more plausible, more real. There isn't some kind of magical or supernatural element of the fantastic to them (something I generally find to be intellectually infantile) that can't be explained by some kind of speculative possibility or grounded in science.
For example, the Elven Gods in DA are largely seen to be powerful at supernatural or magical elements that bend and break reality and defy physics, science, and realistic concepts. Whereas, if they were to exist, there would be some kind of scientific explanation for their existence, such as a post-singularity entity that has evolved past our knowledge of physics.
Of course, I also prefer dark fantasy such as A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones to the uneducated.) Stuff that is, aside from some crappy supernatural elements, largely grounded in realpolitik and plausible sequences of events. It gives you a semi-accurate portrayal of what life would be like if you actually lived in a fantasy universe.
Much as I love Lord of the Rings, I'd rather live in the universe of Star Trek. The same goes with Mass Effect.
And yeah here's what Sandal would do; "ENCHA- *hit by hypersonic 12.7mm armor piercing fin stabilized discarding sabot that vaporizes his entire upper body*"
That's why Sci-Fi wins. Fantasy has magic. Sci-Fi has physics.
Ballistics > Magic. No contest. Ever.

Seriously, he'd be like "HOLY SHIT. DA FUCK?" If he saw any of the other races. It wouldn't be a good idea to get near my Cousland. My Hawke would be eating popcorn in the background, and would probaly be making some snarky jokes to his dear Isabela. My Lyrum ghost Shep would be laughing with my Hawke, who'd be like "FUCK. SHEP'S GOT SOME MARY - SUE SYDROM HERE" (inside his head). And that's what I think would happen, lol.

An old saying in the US Army, with the Infantry, Engineers, Aviation, Field Artillery, and Armor all claiming it; There are virtually no problems in any reality that cannot be solved by an adequate amount and proper application of high explosives. Vietnam had another; "when in doubt, nape the fucker."

Eight hours of Dragon Age: Origins wasn't doing for me for a plethora of reasons, so I dropped it and have never gotten back to that series. Probably never will, either. Meanwhile, Mass Effect has Turians.

I used to like DA more, but I could care less about the setting after DAI. I understand ME has it's faults too, but I was never a big hater for some of the controversial things (like the ending). And the guy running DA is the guy I liked least from ME: Patrick Weekes. How the doctors, Hudson, Christian Norman, Drew K, L'Etoile, and Kindregan go... but this guy gets promoted.. is beyond me.

DAI might as well be called 'Fanwank: The Game'.
I like parts of it, but it's way too much of a wish-fulfillment story.
And I just cannot get behind the SJW traits in the game. Even for me, an avowed SJW.

Granted i am not one hundred percent sure what he did in DA I but considering v my opinion of the game... I would like some of his stuff more if it didn't diminish or hijack other storylines. Everyone thinks of Tuchanka in terms of Mordin now, but there was a whole other storyline involving the Male Shaman and Okeer/Grunt there. Once the writer was out, Weekes pushed his own agenda. It became very one sided. Weekes took over that same writer's character (Jack) and then told everyone to kill her. If it wasn't for Jon Dombrow, Jack would have sucked more in ME3... Weekes didn't know what to do with her. It was Dombrow that came up with the Grissom stuff. Legion is another character diminished in 3, after L'Etoile was gone. He promotes the opposite of Legion in ME2 ("building our own future" and eschewing the heretics to borrowing Reaper tech). As for DAI, it's faults lie with EA first imo. They're the ones that got DA2's expansion prematurely canceled. That's where the Well of Sorrows and Solas and Flemeth stuff originally was. After they had to rethink everything, Solas basically took over the Inquisition plot. It stopped becoming about anything political and just some stupid archaeological hunt for elfy shit, traversing empty landscapes, running into codexes filled with Weekes' shitty poetry. Call it something other than Inquisition if you go that route.

I liked DAO more than ME1. I remember that end of the world feeling when I first reached Lothering. The whole atmosphere of the game really enthralled me. It's one of my favourite game memory. But then I liked ME2 a lot more than DA2 and ME3 more than DAI. Objectively ME is just a better series than DA regardless of how partial I am to DAO.
