We have something similar in the ME3 MP section, where folk post their in-game confessions. Seems as good a fit as any for here too. Also, I am aware that Tumblr has this tag going with awhile lol. Anyway, feel free to post your in-game confessions of your DA experience here. I'll go first; I never felt guilty/bummed about leaving Hawke in the Fade. In fact, I never felt any real attachment to my Hawkes. If I'm playing as an elf in DAI one mission I refuse to do is The Spoils of Desecration, just wrong. A part of me is still bummed that Cassandra isn't a bi choice. I killed Anders in all my playthroughs well, except one. I hate the combat in DAO and the Warden is my favourite protagonist. I really like Vivienne and Morrigan, just love their withering putdowns. Varric is my least used companion in DAI, I don't dislike him, I just prefer Sera and Cole combat wise. I use the Black Emporium an unhealthy number of times in all my playthroughs.

Bethany isn't as bad as I orignally though she was.
I'm not gonna kill Anders in my current Rivalmance Romance with him
My favorite Protagonist my Cousland, than the Inquistor (who I'd put in a standstill next to my Cousland) and than, after thinking about it (I really like humorous Hawke, I might have put them in second place if it weren't for Trepasser changing my mind about the Quiz) my dear sweet humor filled Hawke
I find the companions in DA2 to be somewhat dull compared to the rest of the series.
i could kill Hawke in the fade without any shame what so ever.
Warden Alistairs romances are a common sight in my keep...

The only warden I really bonded with was my Brosca. Who I killed. Then my favorite Hawke went down in the Fade. Inquisitor Cadash had better watch her back, is what I'm saying.
Nathaniel Howe is far and away my favorite, and I have never managed to kill him even a little.
Even when I'm not playing a tank, I seem to accidentally wind up being as tanky as possible. And I play a lot of tanks.
I WAS a completionist who had to check out every corner. DAI cured me of that, and I'm actually happier playing Origins now (as well as DAI). Someone else can find EVERYTHING. I'm going to wander.

Sten is one of my favorite characters of all time. I just love how blunt and deadpan he is and I hope we see him in the next game. I thought being an asshole in origins was funny in a dark humor sort of way. Some lines were just so over the top, and the reactions most times were great. (especially Alistair's reactions ) Replaying DA2 with diplomatic hawke is what saved the game for me, though it could just be giving it a second chance in general is what saved it for me. Diplomatic hawke was just so sweet and nice it warmed my heart, quite the difference from how I played the first game I admit. My main inquisitor was originally an alternate character I was playing as in DAO . Considering how I still needed an inquisitor I cared about, I abandoned her in DAO and remade her in DAI as Inquisitor. When Inquisition first came out I only had a last gen console. There were many game breaking crashes and it was terrible! Thankfully I have a new gen and goty now.

I don't see why we have to execute Anders. I prefer him alive so he can help me.
I forced my poor Lavellan to desecrate the graves in Var Bellanaris. I'm sorry, dear Lavellan, but I really need that mosaic piece for Skyhold's walls.
Related: Skyhold's meagre decorations are one of my greatest disappointments in DAI.
I would gladly trade the Fallow Mire, Forbidden Oasis and Hissing Wastes for more companion/romance quests.
It's taken me a year to get over Trespasser. I think I'm finally ready to replay DAI.

I feel no remorse whatsoever leaving Stroud, Alistair, or Loghain in the fade. There is no way I'm killing Hawke.
I like my jerk playthrough warden better than my "nice" warden, who I feel next to no attachment to.
I have an unhealthy obsession with Hawke. I demand all Hawke all the time.
I never liked Blackwall. Before I learned what he did, he came across as a self-righteous bore and I barely took him anywhere. After learning his dirty secret, it's obvious the self-righteousness is driven by guilt, but I still think he's boring.
I like Shale enough that I wish she were a romance option, despite the...uh...difficulties.
As much as I enjoy looking at Dorian's exposed bicep, I worry about him getting cold because he complains about it all the time.

One of my favourite moments in the entire series was when "Daylen Amell, the Asshole Mage" deflowered Gheyna at the Dalish camp, and then went boldly back to Cammen to boast of his conquest. My absolute favourite came a moment later, when the message appeared, "Wynne Approves +10"

I confess that I would pay 3x what the games cost on release to get Frosbite remasters of Origin and 2.
I can't bring myself to be evil. Closest I get is brutal pragmatism.
Isabella is the only video game character I've ever wanted to meet in real life.
The above is a lie.
I would also want to meet Merrill, Sera and Varric (DA2 version).
Which is also a lie. I want to meet all possible companions except Fenris and DA2 Anders.

I don't like Dorian that much, and would gladly trade him for Blackwall in terms of how they're romance-gated. Ladies seem more interested in Dorian and gay lads like me seem more interested in Blackwall, so *shrug*
All my elves are city elves who despise elfy things and all my mages are pro-circle.
I wish Varric was in every future DA game one way or another. Not necessarily because I am obsessed with him as a character, but it would be sweet if Varric would now and forever, be the one who writes the stories of future protagonist. Him always being stuck in the middle of all the mess in Thedas would be tragicomedic as well. He is an iconic character for DA, so I see it anyway.
I hope DA4 has a Qunari protagonist.

She really isn't since you can ditch her at camp at the first opportunity. I played my last game with only Al, Dog, Shale, and Oghren recruited and told everyone else to get lost. You can't get rid of Alistair until the Landsmeet, which I also did by recruiting Loghain. Sure, Morrigan comes back for the DR offer but you can once again tell her to get lost.

In DAO, even if Cullen had been a romanceable option, I would've still shagged Zevran first and then switch over to Cullen...sorry, Zev and his style of flirting makes me grin in a good way.
If Cullen had been a romanceable option I would've romanced him but I would've still had that quickie with Zev in the dessert.
Had Zev been available for a quickie in DAI and Cullen would've still been romanceable afterward...yup, I'd have done it...and Rylen also...I'm a video game slut, so sue me....Oh and Nathaniel Howe, mustn't forget about that arrow shooting honey. *grrr*

Never again, will I banish him from my court...

I'd rather romance an older more mature Allister, but I still love him. I go for the Zev romance because there's more of a distance between him and my warden and the relationship feels more casual. The way I see it, my warden doesn't want to get too serious about a romance until after the final battle and Allister's clinginess at first is kind of off putting.

I'm usually too scared of how game characters will react to be much more than sarcastic in my first play throughs. Although, after 10+ more play throughs of all three games, maybe I won't be too shy to be angry.
I think Loghain being executed in Origins is meaningful- I think you see the love of his daughter so very clearly in their goodbye. I also feel like...he seems tired and wants to die.
I started a Hawke character that was meant to make Anders as miserable as possible.
On that note, I find it really hard to tell companions to go away. I told Morrigan to go away and it hurt my own feels, but not my character's.
I probably get way too much into my RP. How many other people have intentionally played a game to make themselves cry? Or geel dirty at the moral choices and not reload?
In my first PT of DAI, I had spoiled myself on who was romanceable with what types but that was it. I set my hat for Cullen. But after a Warden Alistair to Warden Anders experience just prior, I thought it would be grand to sack a third Warden to keep up the trend, so my Human Mage very strongly disregarded every warning and jumped Blackwall.
Egg was on me, wasn't it? 😝
I have more but that's it for now.

I don't really care for Zev's romance in the first place..

Oh wow. I'm so happy we do the same things to Anders.. Rival Mancing him is a great way to make him miserable and all I need is a bag of popcorn... And I was really sarcastic in my canon (even though Artemis is a cunning, manipulative and pratical person who's more like Zevran than meets the eye, but overall I think Artemis is also super sensitive and prone to being angry).

Yup, I knew he could be made a warden, I loved him as warden but then I had to sacrifice Hawke in the fade, because I refused to lose Allister, and then Varric was so upset because Hawke was gone...it broke my heart. Not to mention leaving Anora on the throne didn't sit well with me. I've never played Allister as hardened...I cringe while writing this next question, but...damn...how hardened does Allister have to be before he keeps you as mistress?

I like DA2 Anders, I think, he is one of the best characters in the whole series (if not the best). Why much people want to back Awakening-Anders, when DA2 Anders much complex and interesting? And why want to excuse Anders from responsibility and say: those who blew up the Chantry was Vengeance? No: that was Justice/Vengeance AND Anders (and most of my Hawkes support him).
When first time I played with Dragon Age Origins as Surana (few years ago) then I thought the Circle-system unjust, cruel and inhuman. But this was only the "happy" Ferelden Circle. Later I got the DA2, and I saw the Kirkwall Circle, and realized, how dangerous, and I don't understand, how some people can say: the Circle-system is good?
