So I take it you missed the library tucked away by the wine bottles too, eh? Wait, there is another library beside the one Dorian is in? AYUP. Giant book on a pedestal in the middle, a ton of cobwebs, a crap ton of Codex entries ... good times.

I played through Inquisition four times before I found the Skyhold kitchens. FOUR TIMES!!! Skyhold has a kitchen? Where is it? How do I get there?
Can't believe I haven't found it yet!
It's like... facing out from the main hall, go left towards the Barn. Should be a door over there. -doesn't have DAI up right now-

Playing Origins. And Bodahn says he has a barren wife in Denerim. Yet we never hear about her again come DA2.
Oops, wrong thread.😄

I had no idea that whole section of the castle was accessible! Never got the Cole conversation about the cats and the mint, or knew where the Inquisitor was putting all those empty bottles.

It's kind of tricky. The door that leads down the stairs on the way to see Josie isn't there until you leave Skyhold and come back. So, it's pretty easy to just go through the first door right on to the second without seeing there's a new door installed on the left side. To get to the basement from outside, go up the curved stairs next to the barn. That leads right to the kitchen.

Nothing boils my blood more than people who justify and agree with Solas' actions and plans.
I'm also completely dumbfounded how many Lavellan are still in love with Solas after he has broken your heart, left you for years and then appears to basically say '' I'm going to kill you and all your friends am sorry. '' I judge Lavellans and their players who still lust and yearn after him after all he has done. THOUGH I DO REALIZE that that's completely unfair and unjustified for me to do but I seriously can't help it.

In Origins, I honestly thought you could only "steal" during battle. After learning this wasn't true in my 3rd PT, I robbed everyone in the Lothering Chantry. And STILL didn't find the key to unlock that cabinet.

I feel no remorse whatsoever leaving Stroud, Alistair, or Loghain in the fade. There is no way I'm killing Hawke. I like my jerk playthrough warden better than my "nice" warden, who I feel next to no attachment to. I have an unhealthy obsession with Hawke. I demand all Hawke all the time. I never liked Blackwall. Before I learned what he did, he came across as a self-righteous bore and I barely took him anywhere. After learning his dirty secret, it's obvious the self-righteousness is driven by guilt, but I still think he's boring. I like Shale enough that I wish she were a romance option, despite the...uh...difficulties. As much as I enjoy looking at Dorian's exposed bicep, I worry about him getting cold because he complains about it all the time. I have never understood why people would prefer one of these 3 over Hawke. From the Inquisitor Pov who doesn't know them i think they will prefer Hawke because Hawke is not tainted and can't be controlled by Cory and Also because Hawke may be a valid alternative to the well of sorrow since the blood of Hawke can be used to imprison Corypheus. The 3 wardens are not valuable at all compared to Hawke ,i would have killed all 3 togheter for Hawke. This is something with whom i don't agree in how the game work. I saved Marian Hawke for these same reasons and i expected her assistance to imprison or kill Corypheus yet for some unknown reason the writers forced her to leave for the Anderfels in the middle of the conflict when she herself wanted to fight Corypheus personally. Of course now we know why this was done because Gaider wanted to force down our throat the well of sorrow questline even if it didn't made any sense because that section of the game was studied to be in DAII exalted march Dlc not in DAI,but since he is way too affected to his Morrigan/Flemeth love story he wasn't able to scrap the idea and build something more consistent and fitting for DAI.

I have many of the same confessions as others here, but I love these threads so I'll rehash some 1. I've had about nine play throughs in DAO and they've all been elves, all females, and all of them have romanced Alistair with happy endings . 2. I can never have a mean character, even when my PC (or I lol) couldn't stand a companion/npc/whatever. I just can't be mean.. agh. Played one jerk-quisitor (my Dorian romance lmao sorry ) and that was hard to play, though I made him nice to Dorian rofl. 3. I have an unhealthy obsession with hoarding my coins in every. single. game. I go crazy for it and refuse to spend it, then comes the end of the game I'm Miss Moneybags with nothing to show for it. 4. I never got bored of the Hinterlands and was never in a rush to leave it. In fact, during my first playthrough in DAI, I thought the battle with Cory at Haven was the end of the game so I avoided it as long as possible. My inqy was.. overpowered to put it lightly. 5. I've never been able to kill the dragon guarding the ashes in DAO without toggling the game to easy. Or defeat Loghain for that matter without "cheating." Double

The others got to this before me but this lil guide is helpful too. In my first run once I reached Skyhold, I just went exploring the place for ages. Poor Hawke was waiting patiently on those battlements for awhile.

You do realize that Alistair can be left a Warden, right? He only discards though as king when he's unhardened - if he's Hardended, you can remain as his mistress - I feel like it's the players fault in this though, as you can choice make him Hardended very quite easily... I don't really care for Zev's romance in the first place.. Yup, I knew he could be made a warden, I loved him as warden but then I had to sacrifice Hawke in the fade, because I refused to lose Allister, and then Varric was so upset because Hawke was gone...it broke my heart. Not to mention leaving Anora on the throne didn't sit well with me. I've never played Allister as hardened...I cringe while writing this next question, but...damn...how hardened does Allister have to be before he keeps you as mistress? All you have to do is say one line. And you can say it in your head in a nicer tone, to be honest, reducing how harsh it seems at face value. Paraphrasing, "people are out for themselves." I've"said" it just like that, but if I played a nice Warden, I'd feel like saying, "most people aren't like us hero's who have to make hard decisions. Most folks are out for themselves. It isn't good to assume everyone is as awesome as we are." Kinda tone.

And STILL didn't find the key to unlock that cabinet.
You get the key from the Templar guy in the Chantry. Ask him if there's any help he can provide and he'll give you the key. There is supposed to be a set of boots (?) inside, that goes to one of the armor sets, but it's bugged and doesn't appear 99.9% of the time. There's a mod somewhere to fix that.
4. I never got bored of the Hinterlands and was never in a rush to leave it. In fact, during my first playthrough in DAI, I thought the battle with Cory at Haven was the end of the game so I avoided it as long as possible. My inqy was.. overpowered to put it lightly.
I kind of had that feeling in my first game. I thought it odd that closing the breach would happen so soon, so I was certain it was going to be an epic fail and the rest of the game would be spent trying to find a way to actually close it. Imagine my surprise when the closing was a success! Of course, then Cory showed up......

I have odd quirks regarding clothing for teammates. For example, I'm incredibly obsessive with putting Bull in armor that covers his entire body and making sure Dorian, Sera and Cole look properly warm in places like Emprise du Lion. And yet, I also want impractical, skimpy clothing for them and the Inquisitor to wear that enhances their figures in warmer locations. AND I WANT A PRETTY DRESS FOR THE HALAMSHIRAL BALL!!! My devotion to immersion is at odds with my shameful adoration of aesthetically pleasing body hugging clothes.

It is time for me to confess my sins. DA:O For the most part, I keep playing the same character over and over again. My Surana warden. I love her too much. And I don't mean just playing the same origin, I mean playing the same damn character. I've tried playing other wardens origins, Dalish, city elf, human mage, and human noble, but I never complete them. The farthest I've gotten was on my human hating city elf. I got to the mage Tower and into the fade. Got to where I can shapeshift into a spirit and used a few spells, then I remembered how fun it was to play a mage. DA:IBefore DA:2 came out, Surana and Amell were the only ones who's family remained a mystery and then DA:2 gave meat to Amell's backstory. And now only Surana's past is left with a question mark, so I kinda hoped that one of the characters in DA:I would have a connection to her. At the same time I dreaded it, since it might ruin the backstory I already set up for her. But when I saw Solas's concept art, I kinda hoped that he had some blood connection to Surana, like he was her dad or something. Kinda funny looking back on it now. Surana, Commander of the Grey and Dread Pup. I am also planning on making an alternate cannon where my Lavellan is my Surana. That instead of being a warden, Surana fled with Jowen after he exposed himself as a blood mage and traveled across the sea to the Free Marches to give some distance between her and the Templars. And became a back up, back up mage to the Lavellan clan. It would make some interesting interactions between her and Cullen. I almost passed on DA:I. After the Mass Effect 3 incident and the bad reviews DA:2 got, I thought it might be best to pass it. But I was curious about it a bit so searched for fanart on Tumblr, there Tumblr immediately showed me fanart reveling that Solas is the Dread Wolf. After that I had to play this game and find out what was going on. Thank you Solas. Thank you Tumblr. On the balcony in the Inquisitor's room that's extends out from the wall with the fireplace, below that balcony is another balcony that was probably left unfinished by the game developers. I wanted to get to that balcony, thinking that it was some secret special place. So my Quizz jumped off of her balcony and plummeted to her death in a vain hope to get to that other balcony. But they won't know that, all they know is that the Quizz committed suicide and left no note.

*ahem* This is rather embarrasing but it does show how much I do tend to get into character for these games even though I do not do self inserts but rather intricate head canons a lot of the time. Anyways during Mark of the Assassin I was in the final battle between the forces of the Qunari, and ourselves, that final little area, and me an Archer Hawke was just firing off into the group, and somewhere to the right of her Anders. Anders was being attacked. The enemy, about four of them would encroach on them, he'd swing his staff about a couple of times, then retreat, only to have them chase after him. This happened probably two or three times, until I finally yelled out "Get away from my boyfriend!"
...I then promptly checked the room to make sure I was alone. Thank the Maker I was.

Other confessions: I... kinda get the appeal when it comes to Oghren, but he never grew on me. In fact, he's my least favourite character in all of DA games. I always convince Vaughn to give me the key to his treasure chest (when he's locked in Howe's estate), then I proceed to leave him to rot.

My second Warden wanted to be Queen from the moment she found out that Alistair was heir. So, sparing Vaughn got me more support at the Landsmeet, and I didn't even consider killing him. But she wasn't prone to murder knifing. I guess if one doesn't need support in the Landsmeet, he could die. But what are the justifications for those who aren't city elves? "I heard a rumor that you're a dick, so die now."?

You can meet the City elf's cousin earlier in the dungeon and if you pick the right dialogue option he will tell you what Vaughn did to his cousin. Also, just talking to hims shows he is racist towards elves.
